well it could be true. but it hasnt been shown on the anime.

So yes, Pain could use all the elements. Why didn't he use them? Who knows. Guess he just felt confident in what he already had or he just never learned how to use them. Just because he had the ability to use them, doesn't mean he knew how to.

Right, think of it this way, if you have the 5 basic elements but you could control gravity, life and death, amazing summons, absorb attacks and have super cool missiles.... which would you use.....

Well yeah he can use all elements. That has been said numerous times. He hasn't shown using it in the manga as far as I remember, but as the SO6P was the father of all ninjutsu, it's logical to assume he can.

Also Nagato was a bit of an oddball, it would be wrong to assume that every person that ever possessed the Rinnegan would have made 6 bodies or so. That was just Nagato and maybe one of the limits on that jutsu was that it can't use elemental ones. After all I see no reason as why he would only give one ability to each path.

And it's not like that he needs elemental jutsu's with his Shinra/Chibaku Tensei. Not to mention the army of animals, a walking arsenal and a guy that absorbs all chakra.

yes, cause the rinnegan gives the user the ability to use all 5 elements, i think it said that in the arc where Jiraiya trains nagato yuhiko and konan

Ok listen the reason Nagato didn't use his 5 elements was because he wasn't fighting in person. He got his legs burnt and when he used that forbidden jutsu that brings a statue. The statue connected with nagato through black rods but the statue suck the life out of Nagato. Nagato was then weak. This is why we see him on a wheel chair. He almost looked like a skeleton because by using those black rods to control those six sage of the path he was shortening his life-spam thus making him look more like a skeleton. He wasn't able to make seals. Without making any seals, he can't call forth his 5 elements. Plus, Madara probably help him to get that wheel chair and told him that there was a way for Nagato to still be powerful and use all that power that he possessed but in return he would have to give one of his eyes to him. So Nagato probably had only one original rinnegan eye and the other eye was fake just like the ones of the six corpses that he used.


The answer to your question is simple. Without hand seals you can't use your elements.

Im thinking he didnt have any other choice, it might be related to the jutsu he used to kill Hanzo and his subordinates, when he summoned that thingy. Konan warned him not to use it, it might be that it has some side effects to it...
