Incorrect. Itachi is still the same in these episodes except he's obviously not keeping up a facade as the bad guy.

Meanwhile, Sasuke hates Itachi due to his own inferiority complex (that he would still have in an alternate universe since he's always in his brother's shadow). Itachi trusts Naruto to get through to Sasuke since the latter doesn't care much for him. At most, he wishes that Sasuke would be nicer like Naruto, but what older brother wouldn't wish that? No one likes being treated like crap. That is all.

If u look at him closly u will see that he has no ponytail.... his hairstyle looks like Shin's, but he has grey hair and in this filler the ANBU has dark hair, Imo he is Hayate Gekko
