Writing piece, help???

I'm writing this persuasive writing piece of how social media can actually be helpful to stop incidents before they occur or at least give a warning, enabling people to be safe.

What I'm asking is, I need like a fact that I can put into quote after my lead in to explain how it could be helpful. I'm thinking about maybe a story of a guy posting on facebook or twitter a threat or something, anything.

If your teacher/professor allows you to use newspapers as a source you should be able to find something related to your paper.
