Also, your kings weren't very stupid, quite the contrary, they were forced to give norway up and give it to Sweden, and it was during early 1800th century, not 1700th.

we are protected by Norway, because that the huge masses of water that'll be released when Greenland "milts", will flow south. Some/a lot of that water will hit Denmark, but even more will hit Norway, because of your great coastline.
