Konohamaru and Ebisu didn't actually do anything yet. About to fight pain, and about to reveal new jutsu isn't actually doing it. Thinking back about the past, may be interesting sometimes, but it is definitely a means of creating "filler".

As for Kakashi being dead, from what? Using MS? maybe he will go blind from it, but Choji's dad already died in that fight. Also there is way too much we don't know about Kakashi to have it all revealed in some other characters flashback.

so, I was reading grade 9-10 material in grade in grade 3, and properly comprehending it(better than most peoples around that grade), therefor I was at a grade 9-10 reading level in grades 2-3.

For the love of JASHIN, that chapter was made for a reason. The fact that a person who was so hated by village gained respect is amazing enough. Sure most people would say 'Great, another boring chapter' but just read between the lines. This is Naruto's turning point to becoming a Hokage. Each chapter plays a role into creating a good storyline and thats what this manga needs the most. P.S twistedlink, if you want to see a hypocrite, you should just look into a mirror. Its amazing how you change your way of speaking in a matter of minutes, from vulgar, harsh words to normal conversation. You sir, are the best hypocrite xD

That really was the most useless chapter i think i have ever read.

I might not bother with a few chapters in the coming weeks and wait until something actually worthwhile comes out, we learnt NOTHING NEW about any character, im not being funny, but a whole week has passed to draw and write that? come off it, with todays technology etc etc that can be drawn in a few hours, and the story is non existent, weak, very weak.

I hate these filler-esque mangas, and kakashi is obviously not going to die now hes dragging it out, everytime someone dies it focuses on them until death, however if kakashi does die from chakra exhaustion, and then it drags out, thats the first character to go like that, which would suck given it is THE kakashi

No, re-read what i have written.

I said i dont mind the "quiet down" moments in naruto, but usually kishi finishes the action before he does a few backstory mangas or a few low key mangas in terms of true set in stone storyline.

If pain attacked the village and yada yada and in the aftermath it had ebisu and konohamaru-i wouldnt moan so much.

But its just annoying waiting an entire week for a manga in the biggest ever fight in the series naruto, to have lets face it, a filler manga, its a massive slap in the face personally.

Fact is Kakashi is in the grips of death, Naruto hit a road block in his training and will need to make a huge decision that will impact his relationship with the demon inside him, Sasuke is returning to Konoha and the secret of Pain is nearly out in the open.

All these great plot lines that we are patiently waiting to see unfold week upon week and Kishi feeds us a bunch of insignificant characters doing a whole lot of nothing. I understand your point, but come on.... If he wanted to illustrate how Naruto has gained respect it could have been done in far fewer pages or even at a different point in time. Doing so now and devoting a whole damn chapter to it is overkill, especially considering the hiatus, I was really expecting more and very disappointed by 426.

exactly, every character is important and part of the story. If the only people to get any screen time at all were naruto and sasuke(although they should get higher levels of screen time cause they the main characters) I would call the manga a piece of ****. But kishimoto decides to spend time on the other characters and makes it more interesting. I could keep on ranting on about this but I think everybody gets the point.
