Maybe not. I admittedly havent seen much of fairy tail; i've only seen 25 or so episodes.

He's not getting the same amount of views as Naruto for his plot so Fan Service is his way of drawing in them young horny males.

As for Naruto, I'd still read it with or without it. It would just depend on who's doing the fan service, preferably Tsunade and Hinata.
