Would you have read/watched Naruto if there were no Uchihas?

Im going to comment on that right there, because honestly no, the story really is about the Uchiha clan. When Naruto began, the first chapter was about him and his popularity issues, the second Sasuke was introduced however the story shifted DRASTICALLY to Naruto and Sasuke's rivalry. It was an innocent rivalry at first, but as the Uchiha clan's backstory developed, it opened the doors for Sasuke's powers to grow and the conflict between the two to grow.

Then in Part 2, after the Akatsuki was dealt with [for the most part], the story only thickened and became even more complicated with further backstory on the Uhciha and the Senju, and all the plot twists revolving around Uchiha members [Itachi, Obito, Sasuke's resolve, etc.].

Without the Uchiha, in actuality there wouldn't be a plot.

I'd still watch it but let's face it the Uchiha clan is highly focused on and talked about greatly in the fanbase.

As if, it's the Uchihas that made this manga, and even the haters know it. Villains like Madara, true Shinobi following the path of peace like Itachi and Shisui, and some who look for their own path like Sasuke. You even have the antipode of the title character in that clan - Obito.

Although, honorable mention of Akatsuki, all of them were awesome and a large part of why i like Naruto. Oh, right.. Akatsuki was formed by an Uchiha.

The series has a lot of characters. What I meant is that there would be no Uchiha, and another plot would replace the one mainly centered about them.

Depends, does this mean other characters such as the Akatsuki or Orochimaru affiliated get more screen time and development? If not, then no. Sasuke's arguably the best written character, with Obito ranking in around top ten if you choose to ignore the last thirty chapters he was alive.

Itachi was genuinely interesting for most of the series as well, keeping subplots alive. I'd be okay if Madara was kept as an enigma never to be shown, though.

Bold: Yea. Other chars would get more screentime; however, chars like Oro would have an entirely different story; plot as because he was mainly there because of the Uchiha. Akatsuki won't be there because an Uchiha created them.

Not offended. I should explain why I think it's dumb. The Uchiha are crucial to the story and taking them out would leave it incomplete. We have no way of guessing how the manga would have been without them so we cannot judge.

Ah man, did you read the OP? :'( I clearly said 'if'. Kishi could just create a new plot without the Uchiha. I know that they are crucial, but what am saying is what if they were not there in Naruto and another characters took out there places. Would you still be interested?

Its hard to say since Uchihas were a major part of plot. If not them , somebody else would be major part and would be more fleshed out like Uchiha and will probably end up with hax powers like Uchiha as well

By Konoha 11 [more screentime], more of Oro and Kabuto. About the other villages. etc... Regardless whether the new plot will be bad or good, would you still be interested? That's it.

I would like it if the story didn't revolve around dojutsu and susano'o as much but without them might be worse.
