However I have never bashed Minamoto for his theories- they were quite amusing, in fact- so there is no need to apologize.

Yeah i see what you are saying. This would be fine if others simply disagreed. The point is that Minamato is being cyber bullied for his opinion not just a difference of opinion. Those people should apologize if he ends up right.

But simply not sharing his opinion does not require an apology true.

He has some cool theories, no doubt but this one reached a point on intensity that everyone started hating with the same intensity he defended it. It was just too much. One can state his opinion, wait silently for the outcome and then claim the glory (if there is one with these kind of things).

Imagine this, it's the final chapter of Naruto. Just one more chapter left until Minamoto's "Tobidara" theory can be 100% debunked forever. You take a deep breath and begin to read the chapter, here's how it goes down...

Naruto beats Sasuke and convinces him to return to the village. Happy ever after. We see a montage of lots of happy moments, Sasuke and Naruto joking with one another, Naruto becoming Hokage, Sakura cuddling up to Naruto. And then on the next panel we a crack through the page (like a zig zaggy cracked line to imply that these visions aren't what they seem). The scene switches to an image of a blood red moon, we also see the feet of an unknown shinobi. A cracked mask slowly falls to the floor...

The panel pans out and Madara's face is revealed and we get a short amount of dialogue. "Obito...Madara...Tobidara...I am the three in one! And now the whole world will become me as well! Finally we will be united as one, this is true peace. This is justice!"

We then see panels of Sasuke and Naruto's pod, side by side. Both are smiling, seemingly because they achieved their goals in their respective dreams.

If things turned out like this, would you Tobidara naysayers apologize to Minamoto? Or even possibly compensate him with a small gift/paypal donation for the trauma/bullying he's suffered at the hands of those bashing him for his novel and unique theory?

The other way round it would be fair if he would officially admit that he was wrong after chapt. 700
