Would Sasuke have been able to defeat Gamabunta in the first VotE fight?

@ppl who said sasuke couldn't beat naruto without plot but truth is he could have killed naruto multiple times if it wasn't for plot

People are saying now that Naruto held back and Sasuke didn't? That's funny, especially because Sasuke had several chances to end the battle.

OT: I don't know, is he even that helpful in this fight? Couldn't Sasuke like, jump on him or something? If not, I guess he'd either lose or kill Naruto via curse mode 2. He'd have no other choice this way.

Couldn't kill Sasuke in the way that he couldn't force himself to kill his friend, obviously. We've already established that he should have owned, especially if he summoned Gamabunta. Also knocking someone unconscious is worse than scratching someones forehead protector :p

Naruto also had much more chances to summon Gamabunta which would have resulted in a definite win for him and have you seen the size of him??

He also could have summoned Gamabunta before Sasuke got any of these chances if it wasn't for plot.

Gamabunta aint catchin sasuke so all sasuke has to do is avoid him until naruto's chakra ran out.....

Btw....didnt naruto need kurama to summon gamabunta at that point in time?

He never had an opportunity to kill Sasuke, whether he wanted to or not is irrelevant. Gamabunta wouldn't have fought Sasuke, he took Naruto on as his subordinate, he never agreed to fight all of Naruto's battles for him, he only decided to go ahead and fight Shukaku mostly due to Gamakichi's persuasion in the first place. Gamabunta was never part of Part 1 Naruto's arsenal.

So what if he did? He had chakra cloak from kyuubi in the fight, and Sasuke got his 3t Sharingan and his curse mark. I don't think their relationship mattered either as Naruto dying would have been a hassle to Kurama and Kurama wanted to keep giving Naruto chakra anyway to weaken his seal and make him give into his hatred etc?

Wouldn't food cart destroyer solve that? How..the hell does the intent to kill/not kill NOT affect a battle?? The entire last battle at VOTE was exactly that. Everything else you said has already been countered I believe. There was loads of opportunity for both as far as I remember. Naruto getting the cloak and Sasuke waiting for his 3T. Pretty sure Naruto smashed him into a cliffside and tried to reason with him too or something. Probably the part where Sasuke was like "you were always alone, you don't understand". It's been too many years :L
