Would Itachi kill Shisui?

I'd say yes. Just because Itachi is great friends with Shisui (who did not support the coup d'etat) does not mean he won't definitely kill him. He killed innocent Uchihas who had no involvement with the coup d'etat. Heck, Itachi even killed those he really loved. This is evident when he burst into tears as he slew his parents. It's just his love for Sasuke is far greater than anyone else, even stronger than the bond he shared with Shisui.

Nope. If there was no other way to save the Leaf, then i think Shisui would help Itachi with the massacre. IF however Shisui didnt have it in him, either him or Itachi would die.

I am pretty sure Itachi cared more about his parents then Shisue, only one he wouldn't kill for even the leaf is Sasuke, village/Sasuke being his first priority, though it's still confusing which side he would choose.

I'm pretty sure that when Shishui asked Itachi to protect the clan, he wasn't talking about a 'name'm what is a name anyway when the people are dead? Left Sasuke to carry the Uchiha name? That's crap, it's jus an excuse for selfishly sparing his brother. Why didn't he leave someone else to carry the name? I'm sure there were many other talented children in the clan who didn't know about the coupe.
