THE ONLY REASON WHITEBEARD IS DEAD IS BECAUSE HE WAS SICK.

This one cough is why ace isnt alive. This one cough is why Akainu isn't dead. That one cough is why Whitebeard didnt put marine ford into davy jones locker.

and as much as we like to think that Oda never uses plot. Guys Like Yamamoto from bleach or Madara from Naruto or Whitebeard are just to godly to not get handicapped everytime they brawl. Certain Characters even frighten the mangaka.
Whitebeard vs Akainu no stab is just a slaughter.
