Just touching on Madara's return. Edo Tensei didn't matter for Madara to return since the original plan was to use Rinne Tensei to revive him. But Edo Tensei allowed Madara to return at a much stronger state, prolonged the war and caused more havoc than there should be.

But that wasn't going to happen because Obito had no intention of bringing him back. If I recall correctly he was brought back by accident by means of Edo Tensei
