*Ethan reports to the CO*
Ethan: sir, there are two survivors out by the helipad. One of them is SFC DarkNexus of Fort Worth, and he is accompanied by a civilian girl named Kiriko.
CO: have them report to me, I'll assign them stations.
Ethan: ummm, sir... They intend to take one of our transport choppers and "rescue" a friend of theirs.
CO: I see. Very well, Ethan. I am therefore assigning you to be their pilot.
Ethan: sir?! I'm sorry to interject, but that's completely mad! The chances of their survival and success are close to nothing! We must focus on the survivors! Plus, you need all the hands you can get!
CO: *looks up from his paperwork* son, let me tell you something. I've seen a lot of shit in my time. Vietnam. Iraq. Afghanistan. If there's one thing a member of the US armed forces DOESN'T do, it's to leave one of their own behind. Those two out there have admirable character and values. You'd do well to learn from them...
Ethan: *a little frustrated* ...bit what if it compromises the safety of this camp? We need as many choppers available and ready to go if anything happens!
CO: -sigh- kid, just go. There's strength in numbers, and even if zombies are running over the whole Earth, that doesn't mean we can't still hold our values close to us. Plus, it's just one chopper, not a whole battalion, that they're taking, now is it!
*Ethan tries to protest, but stay silent. He salutes the CO* yes sir. I won't fail... *he walks away, still harboring doubts about this mission*
CO: *calling to him* Ethan! Don't forget what it means to be "human"....
*Ethan stops for a moment to think. Then, he walks back to where DarkNexus and Kiriko are...*
(Sorry, totally forgot to reply to this...)
