We are really small when comparing to those high ups, that can decide if your country will go on war or not...

USA and North Korea are in tension, that is getting higher and higher.

If they are being this cheeky, is because they believe in their power... And if one of them attacks, and another attacks back, it won't end easily, because of pride, greediness, evilness, etc...

Earthquakes are caused when there's a release of tension, in this case one attack would do the same trigger, and war would be the earthquake...

Not so high but there's also tension between USA and Russia, and Russians would not hesitate if they had a good excuse to attack usa, as they don't like them and got their reason....

Russia has as ally China..... China at WW2 was nothing compared to today China, it's like comparing an ant to a dinosaur, and they (including usa) all got this mentality of "i don't give a f*", so basically you'd be in trouble somehow if there's was war

And as I said, it wouldn't end well if they started attacking each other, as they wouldn't stop, and would want to show the power they have, and other countries would be dragged into it to, what would make it into a world war

Thoughts?

If USA, Russia and China go into a war. That will mark the end of humanity. Nukes will fly and once it's all set and done half if not the whole world will be polluted.

Nah, I don't think so. These nuclear tests are just for show. They can't engage into a war because that would be destructive for both and even more for Korea.

World War Three would definitely be atomic. That would be hell, frankly. Do you know how many freaking nuclear weapons have been made? If they were ALL dropped there would be next to no where to go.

I know, an atomic bomb used to be the ultimate weapon back in WW2, but now, almost everyone has it, and go tthings much more powerful

Russia > North America.

thanks about your opinion, but htis thread is not about whos stronger

yeah I know, the planet would be completely destroyed, because some of the countries will want to show off how strong they are and also their pride

Today isn't the same situation as WW1. Countries are not compelled to help another out if they are allied on some topics. In addition China, N.Korea's closest ally, has agreed to the US economic sanctions against them. Russia has also agreed with these actions. So if North Korea, just for kicks decided to attack anyone (even south Korea) with 1970's technology, a starving military, no economic base, and no allies they would just give every nation around them a reason to invade and eliminate the regime. This is not in the best interest of the dictator.
In addition if we were to get serious about another world war there would have to be some serious issues that divided the major world powers. Today that would be USA, China, India, Russia, EU (specifically England/France/Germany), Japan, and Brazil.... yes Brazil is very influential.

They do give a f. They give many fs. No company likes to be obliterated just for the sake of its pride. (and yes when I say company I mean the ones that determine the country's strategy)

Germany could stay ou tif they wanted to... Brazil is growing as a country, economically ands stuff, even though there are a stupid number of crimes and inequality and discrimination, it's not strong for war.... Argentina, Cuba, Columbia and may be anothers that are in south america

the main problem is that the strongest weapon is not atomic bomb anymore, they are things that are much more advanced, and it would end up as completely destruction as no one wants to lose or look bad

They do give a f. They give many fs. No company likes to be obliterated just for the sake of its pride. (and yes when I say company I mean the ones that determine the country's strategy)

my last line above will also answer this

Im doubt ful of that. The worst case scenario i see, for nukes, is that there is a huge gapeing hole where north korea used to be.

All the major countries that have nukes, understand they will not use them like that. So simply russia china etc, will not likely use nukes, because they understand the consequences. Now they may use other major bombs, etc, but i doubt nuclear war. The only trouble is nkorea and iran, if they ever acheive nuclear status. Both those countries are crazy enough to use their nukes.

But ww3, is approaching. Better beware.(this war will be a bit different from the other 2....this one will be caused by the crazy countries, and by radical muslims(most likely) who are out to cause a jihad. It will not be like ww1 which was a minor war escalated by alliances, into a ww, and ww2, was caused by invading countries, and establishing a perfect human race(the third reich)

This one will be caused by religious zealiots, and north korea, and will have the alliances be called into action

It has the potetial to be most devastating, but i dont think it will involve nukes.

"they understand the consequences" I disagree. People are insane, those leaders, and I include Americans here, are selfish, and want to show how good they are without giving a f... And there's the pride, revenge, etc.... It would probably not start with nukes, but after some time they would be used, as I said, they wanting to show how good they are and stuff.... And it will cause great consequences, not just deaths of people, bu geologically too.... they are destroying our planet and the humanity all the ways

If a 3rd WW would break out, triggered by usa vs NK issues, it should be obvious the conflict was planned out in the name of imperialism.

We are really small when comparing to those high ups, that can decide if your country will go on war or not...

USA and North Korea are in tension, that is getting higher and higher.

The real tension is between North and South Korea. North Korea poses only a proxy threat to the U.S. and does not represent a direct threat. Moreover - we would roflstomp them.

The real tension is developing in the Republic of Korea (RoK - informally known as South Korea).

When I first went to Korea as part of Ulchi Freedom Guardian in 2008, the popular opinion of North Korea was that they were long-lost family that needed to be reconnected with. The U.S. was viewed, largely, as an interloping outside party by those under the age of about 35 or so. College students frequently protested the presence of the U.S. military (to put it into perspective, however, all students are required to participate in at least one demonstration as part of degree programs - it's a way of trying to educate them about their rights, or something) and that presence was cited as being the reason they were so distant from the North (not an entirely inaccurate claim - but certainly the incorrect context/interpretation).

Then North Korea started sinking ships - which was the first publicly known fatal incident incited by the North Koreans (the two have been known to posture to comical extremes in the past - but there had always been a long standing ideology that they were family and not to kill each other).

The protests rapidly shifted to South Korea's policy regarding North Korea.

North Korea lobbed artillery shells into an island owned by South Korea - and the atmosphere became almost opposite of what it was, years ago. Sure - there's still a little bit of a coolness between some of the newer generations and the U.S. presence - but they are beginning to understand the purpose of our having a presence... and dare I say that there has been development of appreciation for the fact that they know we have a whole army ready to bleed and die beside them if it comes to it.

And that's also why most of it depends upon South Korea.

Part of the purpose of Ulchi Freedom Guardian and Foal Eagle are to practice joint command strategies and simulations with the South Korean military (as well as other NATO forces) - but the goal as established by the Bush Administration was to have the South Koreans leading the exercises by a given year, with the U.S. being a supplemental ally as opposed to the ring-leader.

Further - the economic and political relationship we have with South Korea forces us to respect their wishes regarding North Korea (so long as they pose no direct, imminent threat). It has been long understood that the U.S. is there to reinforce South Korea's stance/policy/action. Military action against North Korea against South Korea's wishes or without consultation would have disasterous economic and foreign implications - as we would almost literally be intruding into what they see as a family affair.

If they are being this cheeky, is because they believe in their power... And if one of them attacks, and another attacks back, it won't end easily, because of pride, greediness, evilness, etc...

North Korea's resolve would likely crumble very quickly after the lies of their propaganda machine were exposed. Keep in mind - they are led to believe that they are in a paradise - that the technology they enjoy today is the best humanity has to offer. The things we enjoy on a daily basis are highly restricted and rare items.

Facing down an army with soldiers full of customary jewelry, cellular phones, mp3 players, etc would rapidly begin to conflict with the propaganda they have been fed about the rest of the world.

Not to mention most of our weapons are about three to four generations ahead of theirs. The standard body armor used by our soldiers would be a sort of miracle material to them. Our jets may as well be chariots of the gods, and our bombs their wrath.

Though we wouldn't have to drop bombs on them. Just drop packages of food and "you've been horribly, horribly misled" - and that would probably do it.

Not so high but there's also tension between USA and Russia, and Russians would not hesitate if they had a good excuse to attack usa, as they don't like them and got their reason....

There is a little tension between the U.S. and Russia - but a lot of that is ancient history. Russia has been recovering a lot of their economy and will be starting to expand, here, before too much longer. They find themselves in conflict with China, currently, as much as anywhere else.

They still hold a considerable amount of power, though, as they are one of the only other nations (aside from the U.S.) that have both the technology and the industrial experience to produce a considerable range of high-tech products and solutions (there are some smaller corporate entities within Europe, but those are often hard to nail down to a single european country).

Immigration from Russia (and former states within the USSR) to the U.S. exploded in the decade following the collapse of the USSR, and there are a growing number of U.S. citizens visiting those regions each year, as well.

Twenty to Thirty years from now, assuming the U.S. still exists, the U.S. and Russia will likely have started down the road to developing a relationship similar to that between the U.S. and Britain.

Russia has as ally China..... China at WW2 was nothing compared to today China, it's like comparing an ant to a dinosaur, and they (including usa) all got this mentality of "i don't give a f*", so basically you'd be in trouble somehow if there's was war

Russia and China are not at all allied. The recent development of the PAK-FA cements this, as Russia approached India (a staunch population, industrial, economic, and territorial rival of China) to co-develop the project. That is no different than the U.S. deciding to supply resources to the European Allies against the Axis powers, in terms of the political point being made.

Russia has, wisely, decided that it is better off partnering up with India than with China (the way things are going there, currently).

Though it shouldn't be surprising why not. Russia is the most free market in existence, currently (as universal irony would hold); there's not a single industry there that sees a partnership with China as anything other than what it is: suicide.

And as I said, it wouldn't end well if they started attacking each other, as they wouldn't stop, and would want to show the power they have, and other countries would be dragged into it to, what would make it into a world war

Thoughts?

The next 'world' war will be an ideological war. In the wake of the coming domino of bank foreclosures, a push for a global centralized currency and government to manage world economies will take hold with the backing of a number of individuals and foreign interests. These systems will be campaigned under the flags of "equality" and "justice" against "greed" and other such things.

Then you will have little savages like me that reject such foolish notions of the hive-mind, who will stand in the way of that happening.

It will be more of a global civil war than a world war. Nuclear weapons and other such things will kind of be forgotten. The weapons of choice will be control over media outlets (propaganda), and social engineering campaigns (engineered crimes, plants, 'false opposition,' etc). Strategic targets will include food and general good production/distribution capability (people will side with who has the ability to feed them, usually - destroying the ability of self-declared independent states to provide for the needs of its people will weaken its position) and possibly include engineered plagues for crops and/or livestock (human populations will largely be left alone).

Nuclear weapons have very limited utility in the coming war. The goal is not to subjugate people through force, but through deception. In order for such strategies to be effective, people must feel they can place their trust in one entity or another. The only way for this "global bank of justice" to earn that trust is to use sleight of hand and covert tactics to undermine the authority of resistance and to paint them as being the 'bad guy' in all of this.

You can't do that while nuking the piss out of their cities.

But if you paint them as incompetent - massive losses to their livestock, crops, etc - and incapable of providing needs (loss of industrial capability, waning medical competency, shoddy power grid, etc) ... then you can portray yourself as the most sensible and functional alternative.

That's the shape of the coming war. It will not be a war between nations... but a war to preserve them.

Thanks for your long post, it shows that you care. You seem to be a man that knows stuff... Although I am not quite sure if everything is as you say

"Nuclear weapons and other such things will kind of be forgotten"
I don't think so, they want to develop more and more efficient and destructive weapons, as I mentioned many times here, to show how good they are, and I am sure they would like to show it off during war...
But I am a person that believes in some of the conspiracy, maybe they are doing it to scare people off., But then it wouldn't make sense as other countries don't sit well with USA (not all ofc)... And if they could make them disappear, they would... Hatred and misunderstandings causes this... And as I also said, it starts smoothly, then advanced and more advanced weapons will come

Strategic nuclear weapons are useful for population and industry denial.

The goal of strategic nuclear warfare isn't to target military targets, it is to, literally, rip the heart and lungs out of a country. You target cities.

The population; the economy that supports a military fighting effort by providing food, parts, munitions, and new recruits to militaries - that is the target of strategic nuclear warfare. It is not attrition of military assets, but attrition of raw human resources.

It has no use against what amounts to insurgency and a campaign against an ideology with few borders. Sure - a few states may declare themselves independent and refuse to join the globalized system, becoming havens for the free spirited... but how do you convince the population that has accepted your influence that it is acceptable to use nuclear weapons on them?

You don't.

You have planted agents plan and organize terrorist activity. You have false opposition campaigns where a 'freedom leader' personality organizes groups politically/ideologically opposed to your doctrine, then have them spout radical nonsense and incite violence (that will make them unpopular and tarnish any practical virtues to them).

Just look at the actions of the Obama administration in how it handles the office. Every attempt is made to portray opposition as radical and marginal. Those opposed to his budget ideas 'want seniors to suffer.' He blatantly stood up and in the State of the Union address and fabricated every single one of his claims - not a one has even a tangent grounding in fact. More recently, his administration has done everything within its power to make the current sequester look disasterous and to paint anyone opposed to approving a budget that merely spends more as obstructive and as being damaging to the country.

Europe's banks are in a huge amount of trouble, as are their governments with unsustainable spending practices (that have largely been mitigated by investment banking... the bubble of which has started to collapse). The current play by Cypress, where the government simply took a certain percentage of everyone's bank account, highlights the mentality that will drive the next world war (not to mention - the Nazis are gaining popularity once again - so that guarantees a fun filled future).

Honestly, the U.S. doesn't care much about what goes on in the rest of the world.

Which is kind of ironic, because this global ignorance has resulted in overall choices that have erroneously given many countries in the rest of the world the opinion that we do actually find their existence worth our consideration (that we wish to control them). Which is, interestingly enough, a conceited opinion to begin with (that the U.S. would actually care to control a country).

There are countries that hate the U.S. - sure. Most of them are so insignificant that it's not worth our time or consideration - most of these countries don't actually -have- a country. They are just territorial regions that were established under old British or Soviet rule that we haven't bothered to adjust (and why would we?).

The countries that do dislike us and are worth mentioning are usually steeped in such hypocrisy that they will not ever commit to any serious action that would make the "erasing" of their country worth it. Usually, we are involved in a relatively beneficial economic exchange.

To understand why the U.S. population (and even its political leaders) doesn't concern itself much with the rest of the world, one has to understand that the U.S. was designed to be a federated republic of nation-states. We are the EU before the EU was popular - and has had all of that drama (and more) for the past 200 years.

We are the EU before the EU was popular - and has had all of that drama (and more) for the past 200 years.

i disagree with the last bit. USA gets involved with other countries just out of greediness, and just their interest and then pretend its good will. Like getting involved in other people war just for the oil...
As an american you have been taught many things, but they also made you believe, apart from some obvious truths like terrorism, that they are the good ones, and the others are paranoid etc....
