(This is a new anime that I have come up with and I actually dreamed about it so I decided to make an anime of it. Hop you injoy the story)


Chapter 1

I was running through a dark forest that didn’t seem to end. I was running away from a shadowy figure that was shaped like a human. I looked back to see if it was still there. It was still behind me, so I turned a corner to a place that had tons of stumps sticking up out of the ground. I jumped over each stump, then looked back to see if it was back there, only to trip over a stump.

I tried to get up, but was unable to move my legs, so I just crawled over to a bundle of stumps that seemed to make a cave, even though there was a few tiny holes, I still hid in there. I huddled up in a corner, making sure that the shadow didn’t see me. I was breathing really heavy, looking around, making sure that it wasn’t around here. It wasn’t around. I crawled back out to look outside. It wasn’t out there either. I crawled out of the cave of roots and walked towards the town that I was heading for in the first place.

When I finally made it out of the forest it was daylight. I was happy. No more shadow. I said walking to the town, holding my side, cause it hurt so much. I was beaten up and almost unable breathe. “Hahaha!” a girl laughed walking out of a store with a guy right behind her. “That’s what he said” the boy said. I kept on walking through the town and right past the two.

The boy looked at me. “I wonder what happened to him.?” he asked. The girl shook her head. “I don’t know.” she said. I took one more step, then fell right over. “Ah!” they both said, then ran right over to me. The boy kneeled over by me and turned me over on my back. They both got a scared face. “Who or what did this to him?” the boy asked. The girl scanned my body and found claw marks. “Aqua. On his side look. He has claw marks.” the girl said. The boy known as Aqua looked at it. It looks like a wolf did this to him, but…there’s no wolves around here. Maybe it was the Shadow Man.” he said.

The girl scanned my body again and seen part of a black mark on my chest and pointed to it. “Look on his chest. There’s a black mark on it.” the girl said. Aqua unbuttoned my shirt and got a horrified face. “Aivian. He was attacked by the Shadow man.” he said. The girl known as Aivian looked at the mark and got a horrified face also. “It sure is the Shadow Man’s mark.” she said.

The mark is shaped like a dragon. It looks like it’s flying in a circle and there was a big S in the middle of it. It was placed right above my heart. “This isn’t good at all. We need to get him back to the house and seal it up. We can’t let it continue like this.” Aqua said picking me up and walking back to the house in the middle of the town with me close in his arms and Aivian right behind him.

Chapter 2

Aqua walked through the sacred halls, then walked into a room filled with people. Aqua walked in between so people standing in rows, with me in his arms, my head hanging, and Aivian behind him. Everyone looking at us and whispering things.

Aqua walked to the table in the middle of the room and sat me down on it. Aivian unbuttoned my shirt and stepped back behind a pedestal. Aqua laced some objects on the table that I was on and also stepped behind a pedestal. They both placed their hands on the pedestals.

“Aivian?” Aqua asked looking at Aivian. She nods her head and they both close their eyes, and starts to whisper chants. “We are drawn to each other…” Aqua chanted loudly. “Like drops of water…” Aivian also chanted.

“Like the planets…”

“We repulse each other…”

“Like magnets…”

“Like the colors of our skin!” They both yelled the last part together.

The things around me on the table started to glow. They shot a light right towards the mark on my chest and it started to glow. Aivian and Aqua looked at each other than nodded.

“We should not shed tears…” Aqua started.


“That is a surrender of the body to the heart…” Aivian said.

“It is only proof…”

“That we are beings that do not know…”

“What to do with our hearts!” they both yelled at the same time.

After they was finished chanting, I started to glow a bluish color. Then my memories from when I was attacked started rolling in a cloud above everyone. Everyone watched closely and was whispering things. “Aivian. We really need to get this sealed up now.” Aqua said, watching everything that happened. Aivian nodded her head. Aivian and Aqua lifted their hands up and made a triangle shape with their hands in front of them, as the cloud disappears. They close their eyes and concentrates on the mark that’s on my chest. They open their eyes and they was glowing.

“Seal!” They both yelled and the mark on my chest turned to a grayish color and stopped glowing. They both put their hands down and dismissed everyone. Aqua looked at the mark. “It’s all sealed up. No Dark Sorcery is going to turn him to the Shadow Man’s side.” Aqua said picking me up and walking me out of the room. Aivian stayed in the room and walked up to the table and looked at it, rubbing the table. It’s been quit awhile since I’ve been in here. She thought walking out of the room, shutting the door, and locks it walking away.

Chapter 3

I was slowly waking up in a hospital room. I sat up, moving hand over to my side and gripping it as a sharp pain went through it. “Unh! Damn! That hurts like Hell” I said. I looked around and seen a boy passed out in a deep sleep on the couch by the window. He was tossing and turning in his sleep. I chuckled a bit.

“Well, good to see you awake after you have slept for awhile.” a girl said walking into the room. I looked at her. She wore a Red suite-like dress. I looked away. “Where am I?” I asked her. She came over to my bed and sat a plate down on the table. “Let’s not worry about that right now. My names Aivian. What’s your name?” She said introducing herself. I shook my head. “My names JakeUmbreon.” I said. I griped my wound tightly as it started to bleed out.

The boy woke up and fell off the couch, hitting his head on the floor. “Ow!” he said. Aivian giggled. “Are you okay Aqua.” Aivian said still giggling. Aqua sat up and blushed. “Uh… um…” he said. I chuckled and laid back down. “Are you okay Jake?” Aivian asked. “I’m just fine!” I said and covered up my head. Aivian pulled the blanket off of me and looked at me. “Well then, if you say your okay, then lets go get you trained up to be a sorcerer.” she said.

I groaned. “No groaning come on!” Aivian said. I sat up and looked out the window and smiled. Mother. Don’t worry. One of these days…and I mean one of these days…I will avenge your death…and it’s a promise mother. I thought. Aivian looked at me. “Jake. Are you ready to go now?” she asked. I nodded my head and followed them to a big dojo. It had all kinds of training equipment. We walked on through and stopped at two doors. Aqua walked to them and looked at the door’s carvings. “Jake. This’ll be where you train.” he said opening the doors. When the doors were opened, I gasped at the sight. It was like a training field with a Cherry Blossom tree in the corner of it. It was beautiful.

Aivian walked into the field. “Ah! I really missed this place. It really has been quit awhile since I’ve been in here.” she said. “Indeed it has.” Aqua said. Aqua walked over towards a door and points at it. “This’ll be your place to stay, and this field has only this single room, so this is a private training spot.” Aqua explained as I walked to the door he was pointing at. “This place was being saved for a special someone, and it seems we found that someone.” Aivian explained. I got a confused face. Aivian noticed that and shook it off. “Never mind. You’ll figure out what I mean soon enough.” she said walking away and out of my training area with Aqua behind her.

I opened the door to my room and looked around. It was huge. It was like a master bedroom, but better. I walked in, leaving the door open and over to my bed, putting my hand on it and gliding it across it. The Sheets were really soft and comfortable. The blankets were the same way. I looked around some more and seen a computer desk. There was a laptop with everything that goes with it.

I walked over to the computer and turned it on. Luckily it was a new one so I could put in the password myself. I downloaded a video chat thing on it and logged into it, just to see if my father was on. Luckily he was. I clicked on his chat thing and started a chat with him, then he called me after I just said “Hai!” to him. I clicked it and his vid came up on the screen.

“Jake. Is that really you?” my father said. I nodded my head. “Yeah. Every last bit of me, father.” I said to him. “Man, your little sister went crazy when she figured out that the Shadow Man was after you. She almost ran out the door looking for you.” he said. I laughed a bit. “Is she awake?” I asked. My father nodded his head. “No. She’s sleeping up stairs. It was her naptime.” he said.

“Jake. I forgot to tell you something.” Aqua said walking over to me. “What is it?” I asked him. “I thought you was worrying about the Shadow Man getting in here and coming after you, so I put up a shield around the top of your training area. You don’t have to worry.” he said. I nodded my head. “Hey! Aqua.” I said. “What is it?” he asked. “D-do you think that my family would ever be able to visit this place?” I asked him. Aqua nodded. “Yeah. They can if they want to, but their not able to get in this private training area.” he explained. I nodded my head and Aqua left.

“Who was that?” my father asked. I sighed. “His name is Aqua. He was someone who helped me when the Shadow Man attacked me.” I explained. My father nodded. “I see. Well, I better go. I have to work later, I was on lunch break so I have to get back down there. See ya later.” he said closing out the chat. I lowered my head. “Yeah. See ya later.” I said standing up and walking to the bathroom.

I jumped in the shower and showered off quickly, got out and got dressed, and just remembered something. Ah! I have no clean shirts! I yelled in my head. “Damn.” I said, as I herd a ring on my video chat and ran over to answer it. “Hey! It’s been awhile since you’ve been online now.” a girl said. I sighed. “I don’t feel like talking right now.” I said to her. She looked at me with an angry face. “You always say that.” she said. Then she just noticed the room that I was in. “Whoa! Did your family move somewhere or something?” she asked me. I shook my head. “I left home. I came here instead. It’s a really nice lace.” I said.

“Way too nice for a guy like you.” she said distastefully. “It doesn’t look anything like your old room.”

I shook my head. “Not yet it don’t. I’m going to get my father to come down here and bring my things, so that I can redecorate it.” I said. She shook her head and noticed the cherry blossom outside. “Is that a Cherry Blossom tree outside?” she asked. I nodded. “Yes. Hey, I have to go. I need to rest up, so that I can train.” I said closing her out, then putting myself as “Do Not Disturb, Please Leave A Message And I Will Get To You When I Can” up so that I could rest. I stood up and walked to my bed laying down and slowly fell asleep.

Chapter 4

I quickly woke up from a dream, and sat up, breathing really hard, looking around the room, only to hear my vid chat ringing. I sighed. “It was just a dream.” I said standing up, my feet touching the hard cold floor. I walked over to the computer and clicked answer on the chat, only to see my friend, head on the table, sleeping. I chuckle at her. “She must have called a while back.” I said closing the vid chat out and stood up, looking outside.

It was still beautiful no matter if it was day or night, raining or sunny. I walked out my door, grabbing a sword that was sitting there, and walked out in the middle of the training field. I looked all around. No one seems to be up and running around inside the dojo. I let that go out of my head and got in a battle ready position and stepped on a little button thing on the ground, and shadow gangers of me popped up everywhere.

I’ve been in this place for over a year now, and I was always working on my Hand in Hand combat and sword Techniques. The shadow gangers started towards me and I started hitting each one, making them disappear one by one, each time a new one popped up.

I was getting ready to attack them again when they suddenly disappeared. “What the hell? What happened?” I said. “Didn’t think you’d be up training at this time.” someone said from the entrance to the dojo. I looked over there and seen Aqua and Aivian. “So, what’s wrong with training at this time?” I asked them, annoyed by their interruption during my training. I stabbed the tip of the sword in the ground and leaned on it.

Aqua suddenly grabbed an unseen sword, that slid out of his sleeve, and pointed it at me. “Wanna spar to see how much you’ve improved so far.” Aqua said walking to the middle of the field. I disappeared and appeared right behind Aqua with my sword up to his neck. “Will you be able to stand up to how quick I’ve gotten?” I asked him. He shook his head. “I wasn’t ready yet.” Aqua said raising up his sword and pushing mine away from his neck with it.

Aivian started laughing. Aqua sent a glare at Aivian, but she continued to laugh. I shook my head. Aqua stood strait up and got in battle ready position. “Alright. You ready, Jake?” Aqua said. I got in battle position also and nodded. “I’m so definatly ready.” I said. Aqua suddenly disappeared and I stood there shocked at how fast he was. Aqua then appeared behind me and put his sword u to my neck. “Never let an enemy get behind you Jake. No matter how fast they are.” Aqua explained to me. I sweat dropped and raised my sword ready to attack and swung it at him, but he dodged it quickly.

“Nice swing you have there, Jake. But…is it better than mine?” Aqua said running towards me and stabbing his sword in my shoulder. I jumped back and griped the wound. “Hey! That could’ve killed me you know!” I yelled at Aqua. He shook his head. “But it didn’t. I bet now you can’t lift your arm to even swing your sword at me.” he said pointing the tip of his sword at me.

I got a surprised face when I noticed yellowish liquid running down the point of his sword. I gasped. He paralyzed my arm. I tried to move my arm, then my fingers. I couldn’t move my arm, but I could still move my fingers a little. The stuff moved through my body really fast.

Aqua studied me closely. “You just noticed didn’t you. My sword has the ability to paralyze, burn, and poison the person, or object that in stabs. So right now, the stuff is quickly moving through your veins, even as we speak. In three days, you wouldn‘t even be able to move an inch.” He explained. I growled evilly at him and he chuckled. “Consider this as lesson number one. You have to try and figure out on how to stop the paralyzation before it reaches to your heart.” Aqua said putting his sword back where it belongs and walking away.

I gripped my sword and walked to my room, throwing the sword on the floor, and laying on the bed. Damn! How am I supposed to figure out how to un paralyze my body? How? I thought. The stuff was spreading faster than normal. I quickly ran to the kitchen and looked through different kinds of potion mixes and stuff. I found some things that would mix together and wouldn't explode, so I started mixing together some random potions and it turned all yellow. I picked it up and looked at it.

“This is how you paralyze people, but if I mix in that black one, maybe it would work you un paralyze people.” I said as I sat the potion down and started to mix the other stuff in it. I picked it up when I was done mixing it and drank some of it. I drank it to half and sat it back down. “Now to test it out.” I said trying to move my arm and it moved. I smiled. “Ha! I did it!” I said really excitedly. I then made some potions for poison and burns and put them in some med shot things, and some bottles that you couldn’t see through, along with the rest of the paralyzing potion. “These will come in handy later.” I said walking to my room and setting the med stuff in a little box and slipped it between the laptop and desktop, then sat down and started typing some things in the computer about the potions and saved it to the drive. “This stuff will come in handy when I start my next lesson, so I better make sure their handy when I need them.” I said to myself.

“What will come in handy?” a boy said from my door. I looked only to see Aqua. I flinched. “Uh… nothing. Nothing at all.” I said. “So what are you doing here?” I asked him. “It’s time to meet your little sorcerer buddies so that you can start your sorcery training.” Aqua explained. I sighed and followed Aqua out of the sacred training area and to another training area. I looked all around. There was a lot of sorcerers. “It’s kinda scary at first when you see this place, but you’ll get used to it” Aqua said looking at a little group of people. “Aivian! He’s here.” Aqua yelled at Aivian.

Aivian looked up and walked over to Aqua with eight people behind her. “Well, well. Looks like you’ve figured out how to stop the paralyzation. Very smart.” Aivian said. I rubbed the back of my head. “Well, it wasn’t easy, but I figured it out.” I said.

A boy with red looking ears walked over to me and studied me. “This really can’t be him can it? I mean look at him. He looks like he belongs to the Shadow Man. With all these dark clothes and yellow mark-like thing in his hair. Seriously.” the boy said. “Now Jackie be nice. Just because he looks like this doesn’t mean that he belongs to the Shadow Man.” Aivian said.

I looked away from everyone. “It’s okay. Everyone says that about me. Even at my home village.” I said looking at the ground. “I don’t think you do.” a girl said walking from behind everyone. She had green-like ears. I gasped when I looked at her. She was beautiful. Everyone looked at her, even Jackie did, but he had a disgusted look.

“Jake, this is April. April, this is Jake.” Aivian introduced us. I held out my hand and April gladly took it and shook it, letting go quickly, blushing. Aivian giggled. “April is a shy one, but she is very friendly.” Aivian explained. I nodded my head, understanding everything that she was saying, since I wasn’t able to talk, at the site of seeing April.

April looked at me confused. “Are you okay, Jake?” She asked me. I nodded my head and she giggled. Aivian giggled also. “There’s others to meet you know.” she said. “Guys this is JakeUmbreon. Jake, this is Diaena, Jackie, Clair, Aaron, Trinity, Shia, and Blaze.” she said pointing to each one. “And they are going to be your partners during certain training routines. Right now, we’re working on hand in hand combat.” she explained. I shook my head. “I like to train alone.” I said. Aqua shook his head, sweat dropping. Aivian looked at me a bit weird, also sweat dropping and everyone else fell right over.

Well, I'm not sure what other potions he mixed together to make that, it said he just mixed random potions, that won't explode together. lol

Chapter 5

I slowly opened my eyes and sat up yawning and stretching. I looked at the alarm clock and sighed, looking outside. It’s now been two year since I’ve been training here. I’ve learned this places name to be the Shikio Academy For Sorcerers. The town’s name is Shikio. Yeah, there was some regular schools, but this school, the Shikio Academy For Sorcerers, is for gifted kids like me.

So, I’m just always in my private little, well…big private room, sometimes on the computer researching things, and sometimes in the kitchen mixing potions. “Jake! Time to train!” someone yelled from the door and left. I sighed. That’s one bother here at the academy. My trainer Aqua. He’s always like, train this, train that. It’s so boring. Yeah, I did learn some Sorcery, but it’s not going so well. He keeps trying to teach me all his Sorcery, but I can’t learn it. So he started training me in Dark Sorcery. Well, today is when he started training me in Dark Sorcery.

I walk out to the sacred training area and see Aivian and Aqua waiting out by the Cherry Blossom tree. I grabbed my sword and walked over to them. Aqua looked at me up and down. “I guess your not all that ready to train now huh? Looks like your ready for bed.” he said. I looked myself over and seen I was just in my boxers. I blushed and quickly ran inside and got dressed and ran back outside. “There…now…I’m…ready.” I said stopping in between each word to take a breath. Aqua pulled his sword from his sleeve. “Then lets get to it then shall we.” he said. I got in battle ready position. Aqua pulled his sword all the way out of his sleeve and threw it on the ground, as he did the same with the other one. “We’re not battling with our weapons. We’re starting you on your Sorcery. We’re going after the shadow master tomorrow.” Aqua explained.

I get a surprised look on my face. “What? But…I’m not even ready!” I said. Aqua shook his head. “That’s why we’re starting on your training today. Aqua tossed me a scroll and I caught it, looking at it. “This is for Dark Sorcery.” I said looking at Aqua as he nodded his head. “That’s right. This is the Sorcery power you was born with and this is what your going to be using.” Aqua said. “Now, open it up and start practicing the magic, or I’ll just attack you and force you to learn it.” he said looking at me with a serious face.

I got a scared face and ran over to the other side of the training area and opened the scroll and started reading it. “We Think A Flower On A Cliff Is Beautiful…Because We Stop Our Feet At The Cliff’s Edge…Unable To Step Out Into The Sky…Like That Fearless Flower! What the heck does this crap mean!” I said as my hand started to glow a black color. I got a surprised face. “So this is Dark Sorcery. Wow!” I said in a whisper kind of tone.

Aqua walked behind me and looked at the blackish stuff glowing around my hand. I think this kid will be able to learn this really fast. Hopefully before tomorrow he will be strong enough to fight the Shadow master. he thought as the glow started to fade away. I looked at my hand still in shock, like my body was fully paralyzed. Aqua put a hand on my shoulder and I looked at him. “I think we should start on this now.” he said, taking his hand off my shoulder and walking over to pick u the scroll. “Now, recite that line again and this time concentrate on the glow and nothing else.” Aqua explained. I nodded my head and stood up trying to remember the spell. “We Think A Flower On A Cliff Is Beautiful…Because We Stop Our Feet At The Cliff’s Edge…Unable To Step Out Into The Sky…Like That Fearless Flower!” I said and my hand turned a darker black this time.

“Now aim your hand at me and concentrate on the blast.” Aqua said. I flinched back. He seriously wants me to hit him with this. He could get hurt or worse. “Jake! Concentrate it now! Aim it at me and recite it in your mind, the blast me!” Aqua yelled. I sweat dropped and closed my eyes, pointed my hand at Aqua, and recited the spell in my head, then the blackish stuff shot out towards Aqua, but in the nick of time he used a spell to absorb the impact. I opened my eyes and looked at Aqua as the glow disappeared and seen that Aqua had absorbed the spell. I looked at him in surprise. Aqua looked at my face and smiled. “You see there. It didn’t even hit me that was only the basics so…” he said stopping in his sentence and looked at me. My whole body was glowing black. I was freaking out. “Wh-what the hells going on? Wh-why is my body tingling.” I said falling to my knees, hands on my head, now screaming in pain.

Aqua freaked out and closed his eyes sighing. I thought this would happen, due to the Shadow Man’s mark. he thought. He closed his eyes and lifted one of his hands pointing it at me. “I Can’t Protect You Without Holding A Sword…I Can’t Embrace You While Holding A Sword!” he yelled, hand glowing, shooting out at me, and wrapping my body in a bight string-like spell, to bound me down. Aivian got up quickly and ran over to me making the binding spell stronger. “I thought that this would happen, so I practiced this next spell.” Aqua said walking over to me and setting a finger on my forehead. He closed his eyes and his fingers starts to glow and my eyes closed slowly, everything turning all blurry and black, then after a couple of minutes, it was all gone.

Chapter 6

Aqua walked in a hospital room and looked at the motionless body laying on the bed. He walked over to it and placed his hand on it’s body. Of, Course, the body was mine. I was still out since the incident last night. My body glowed this blackish color that night, and my body tingled with Dark energy, so Aqua put a sleeping spell on me. He put me out to where it looks like I’m dead to everyone.

Avian walked in the door and looked at me and Aqua. “Aqua. I think It’s time to wake him up. We should go and find the Shadow Man before it’s too late.” she said. Aqua sighed and shook his head. “I don’t think it’s a good idea. I mean, don’t you remember what happened last night? He’s probably still in that state.” Aqua explained. Aivian looked at the mark on my chest. “I don’t think he is. I think he’s back to normal.” she said. “That’s what you think! That doesn’t mean that your positive about it. He could still be acting that way!” Aqua said kinda yelling. Aivian flinched back and tears started to stream down her face. Aqua noticed and calmed down. “Aivian. I’m so sorry. Please forgive me.” Aqua said. Aivian shook her head and ran out of my room and right past Jackie.

Jackie walked in the room ignoring Aivian and looking at me. “Guess he couldn’t stand up to your strength could he?” he asked Aqua. Aqua sighed and placed one finger on my forehead, then quickly slid it across, causing me to move around, then slowly opened my eyes and looked around the room. “W-what happened?” I said setting up, hand to my head. Jackie’s eyes widened to the grayish mark on my chest. Was he attacked by the Shadow Man. Or…is he one of them. he thought. Aqua walked to the other side of my bed and pulled some things out of my chest and arm.

“Who the hell is this guy? Where did he come from?” Jackie said angrily. Aqua was surprised by Jackie’s sudden outburst. “This is your team mate. You should know that by now Jackie.” he said looking at Jackie. Jackie walked to the door. “How can he be part of my team. He’s not one of us.” he said. I looked at the ground in disgrace. “He’s one of the Shadow Man’s crew. Not one of our people. He needs to leave.” Jackie said walking out. I started to shiver. Aqua noticed and put a hand on my shoulder. “Don’t worry He didn’t really mean it. He’s just stressed out.” he said. I sighed and looked at Aqua. “Just hope your ready for the battle of your life, because the Shadow Man is coming to this town.” he said. I kinda got freaked out and looked at the bed. “He’s coming here? But I’m not ready.” I said. Aqua shook his head. “You can at least battle one of the assistants. Me and Aivian will take the Shadow Man.” he said.

“But…I…” I started. Aqua looked out the window. “Listen, Jake. Your not ready to face the Shadow Man yet. He’s too strong. You don’t even know one Sorcery spell. You can only fight with weapons.” he said. I gripped the blanket. “I swore to get revenge on the Shadow Man. He killed my mother…and…I’ve been trying to train since then. I may know a few Sorcery moves, and I haven’t ever shown you, cause I wanted to keep it secret for a special time…and I guess this should be the time to show you.” I explained to Aqua. He looked at me and chuckled, then walked to the door. “Then lets see those spells of yours shall we. Oh, and I have to teach you a new spell also.” he said walking out and to my special training area, with me right behind him. He turned to look at me and smiled. “Okay, everyone one of us uses this spell, so here.” he said tossing me a device that looks like a tight necklace.

“What the hell is this?” I said looking at it. “This is a transformation device. You’ll need it to use your Sorcery at full power, but you have to recite a line to activate it. It takes what you really are from your Soul and show it from the outside for everyone to see. Now recite this same line. I hide it all away, and never show, please show the inside of me on the outside!” Aqua said. I nodded my head and closed my eyes, putting the thing on my neck. I sighed. “I hide it all away, and never show, please show the inside of me on the outside!” I yelled. I started to glow a Black color and a bright light flashed and blinded the whole training area. When I stopped glowing I have changed. I looked my body over and smiled a bit. “Wow. I’ve changed.” I said. Aqua nodded. “That’s right. Looks like your ready for battle.” he said.

“Aqua!” someone yelled running in the training area. Aqua looked at the person to see Aivian. “What is it Aivian?” he asked. “The Shadow Man is attacking the town!” she said. Aqua got a scared look and ran to the door. “Jake! Get ready and meet us at the town square!” he said running out and to the square with Aivian. I got all of my weapons and ran to the town square, seeing Aqua and Aivian battling the Shadow Man. I ran over between them and the Shadow Man looked at me. He smiled. “Well, looks like you brought what I came here for.” the Shadow Man laughed. I looked at him and growled evilly.

Aqua looked at me then back at the Shadow Man. “Your not getting him, it’s too late to get him now.” he said. The Shadow Man looked at me and at my chest. “So, I guess you sealed up the mark then huh? Smart bunch you are…but it’s not going to stop me from doing this! Rain, from the Heavens, shoot him down!” he yelled as the mark glowed and started to shock me. I screamed in agony as the electric ran quickly through my body. “JAKE!” Aqua yelled watching me scream In agony and falling over still being shocked. Aqua looked back at the Shadow Man and growled evilly. “Stop it now! You’ll kill him!” he yelled. The Shadow Man laughed. “Does it look like I care! He’s not my minion! I don’t care! He can die for all I care! He can see his mother in Hell!” he said laughing at the end of his sentence. I still stay on the ground screaming in pain and now screaming bloody murder.

“Sir!” someone said appearing behind the Shadow Man. “What is it?” the Shadow Man said. “We’ve completed our part of the mission.” the guy said. The Shadow Man nodded his head. “Good. We’ll see to the rest of the mission some other time.” The shadow man said snapping his fingers making the shocking thing stop and disappeared. I was left on the ground, bleeding out of my mouth and chest where the mark was, still in agony. Aqua and Aivian ran over to my aid and checked my body for any after shocks, luckily there wasn’t going to be any.

“That was so close. We could have lost him if that didn’t stop.” Aqua said calmly. Aivian nodded her head. “Right now we need to worry about healing him so lets get him back before he losses all of his blood and die bleeding.” she said picking me up and walking back to the academy with Aqua and me in her arms still in agony.

Chapter 7

I was waking up slowly in the hospital room, bandages all over my body from being shocked to death. Seeing as I could barely move, the nurse helped me around. I was stuck in the hospital for over two years.

So I was waking up, slowly opening my eyes and moves my head over to the left seeing Aqua next to my side. He was sighing in relief when he seen that I was awake. He was also thanking the gods as well. I chuckled but stopped when pain shot through my body. Aqua stopped praying to the gods and looked at me. “Are you alright?” he said. I just nodded my head and sat up slowly as the nurse walked in. “Oh, your awake. That’s good.” She said walking over to me and placing a tray over on the table. “Just thought that you’d be hungry so I brought you some food.” She said then walked out. I moved the table to where It would hover over my bed and opened the tray, grabbed the fork and started eating.

“You really seem hungry.” Aqua said as he laughed and watched me eat quickly. I swallowed what food was in my mouth and said, “Yeah. No duh! I was asleep for over a week since that surgery. Did you expect me to not eat then die?”

“No but, still, your eating a little too fast. You can get a tummy ache.” Aqua said. I shook my head and continued eating. Aivian soon walked in and laughed as she seen me eating really fast. “You’re a hungry little boy aren’t you?” she said walking over to Aqua. Aqua laughed a bit. “He’s been eating like that since he’s been awake. He is hungry. You better watch it before he eats you.” Aqua said trying to act like a monster. Aivian laughed. “Nah! I’ll make the monster sick. No wait I’m the mother monster! Rawr!” she said. I stopped when my fork was halfway to my mouth and closes my mouth putting the fork down, a shadow casting over my eyes. Aivian noticed and looked at me. ‘Is it something I said?” she asked.

I shook my head and pushed the table away from me and laid down. “I’m not hungry anymore.” I said a tear forming in the corner of my eye. Aqua sighed. “We’ll be back later on tonight.” he said walking out of the room with Aivian. I shook my head, sat up and pulled everything out of my body, grabbed my bag as alarms in my room went off, then I jumped out the window.

The nurse ran into my room and seen me missing, when she ran to my bed she seen my bag missing as well. She freaked out running to our academy and to Aqua’s room. “AQUA!” the nurse said. Aqua looked up from his work and looked at the nurse. “What’s wrong?” he asked. The nurse had tears running from her eyes. “Jake is missing. He ran away!” she said. Aqua freaked out and ran out looking around town for me. He kept freaking out looking all over for me. He asked every villager in town, but no sign of me anywhere.

I was running through an ally way that only I knew lead far away from the town. When I reached the end and left, I stopped and looked back at the town, tears that still streamed from my eyes. I turned my head and headed far from the town till it was out of sight. I sat down under a tree breathing heavily. ‘Damn! Should’ve packed something to help me breathe. Damn!’ I thought as I was trying to catch my breath. “how about I help.” said a voice from a little kid. I looked around and didn’t see anyone. “W-Whose there?” I asked. There was no answer. Instead I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned and seen a little girl. She was around the age of six. She was wearing ragged old clothes and was all beaten up.

“Who are you?” I asked the little girl. “Orin.” She said sweetly. She grabbed my hand as I stood up. “You should come with me. I think everyone would want to meet you.” Orin said pulling me through the forest. I looked at her arm as she pulled me through the forest and seen a mark on her arm. The same that was on my chest. She stopped at a huge tree and looked up. “Hey Kai! Come here!” Orin yelled as a guy jumped down from the tree. He patted Orin’s head and looks at me. “I see Orin brought you here.” he said chuckling. He looked at the mark on my chest. “I see you was attacked by the Shadow Man.” Kai said pointing at my chest. I looked at my chest and seen the mark showing a bit, then hides it. Kai laughed. “You don’t have to be embarrassed about it. I was attacked by him as well. All of us was. Anyways, my names Kai. I’m the leader here. What’s your name?” Kai said, reaching out his arm for me to shake his hand. I sighed and took his hand and shoo it. “My name is Jake.” I said. Kai smiled at me. “Well, it’s nice to meet you. How about you stay with us. Cause all of us is planning revenge on the Shadow Man for killing our loved ones and family. Come. You need to meet everyone.” Kai said leading me up the tree.

When we got to the top of the tree, there was a huge floor built over the huge opening of the tree, other floors were built in other places, there was also a roof over every other floor. No walls at all. It was cool. When we passed a big limb of the tree, there was so many people here. Some would be training, some would be talking and some cleaning their weapons. They all looked at me. “Hey. Try not to stare cause some of us don’t like that.” Kai said to me. I kept following him to the middle of the crowd. Kai looked around. “Everybody! Listen up! This is Jake! He is now a new member of our team!” Kai said then walks off with Orin. Everyone then stares at me, some with the intent to kill.

I was shaking a bit, then I herd something below that no one else did. “What was that?” I said freaking out a bit. Everyone just looked at me like I was crazy. That’s when a bird flew over my head and over to Kai giving him a message. Kai took the message and read it as his eyes got big. “Damnit!” Kai said as he stood up. “Everyone! Listen! I got a message from the Shadow Man. He has Ultra!” Kai said. Everyone started talking and whispering and some gasped. I just had a weird look on my face. “The Shadow Man said that we have to trade something to get her back! He wants the shadow orb that we contain!” Kai said. Everyone started talking to each other. Confused on what the Shadow orb is. I started to back away, but stopped when Kai jumped in front of me. “He said that you know where it is. JakeUmbreon.” Kai said to me. I was shaking and fell to my knees, tears falling from my eyes. “I wish I could get it, but…” I said. Kai looked at me. “But what?” he asked.

I reached my hand up to my heart. “It’s right here. My family, when they was alive told me that I was chosen to have the Shadow orb sealed within me. The Shadow orb is my heart.” I said. Kai had a sad look and kneeled over, placing a hand on my shoulder. “Don’t worry. We won’t hand you over to the Shadow Man. We have a plan. We’ll invade the Shadow man and rescue Ultra, but we can’t do it with out your help.” Kai said. He stood up and helped me up. I just looked at him.

“Everyone get trained and work on your sorcery. Cause tonight. We invade. We will save Ultra!” Kai said as everyone cheered. Kai looked at me, as did everyone else. ‘You’ll help right?” Kai asked. I nodded my head. “Yes.” I said. Everyone started cheering again and some of them crowded around me as some of the girls was trying to get to me. I smiled and laughed a bit. ‘I guess now that everything is going to be okay. I finally found someone to care for me.’ I thought.

I might suggest a bit of editing though. All your paragraphs are bunched together making it look like one long paragraph. If you need any help, just let me know.

Also, some pointers. The main character is running through the woods, how does he turn a corner? Was he running on a path through the woods? Did the path suddenly go straight, and also veer off to the side simultaneously?

As for the cave, are you implying the dirt was entrenched under a rather large stump? Could you describe that a bit more?

Anyway, just a bit of constructive criticism. Hopefully I didn't come off as harsh, as I sometimes do. Keep writing, and keep improving. ;D

Well, first of all, actually, when he's runningon through theforest the trees are so bunched together like it walls, so yeah that's what, and the cave, actually, is a bunch of little roots that sticks out of the ground, leaving some holes in the top, andno your not being harsh,it's good to find some one who could help with my story.
