Narrator: And so we continue off where Carlie and Su were wandering around in the mysterious place called Treegap...
Su: Aw my gawd this is so exhausting >_____< Do we even know where we're going?
Carlie: Shut up. I know what I'm doing, we just need to find someone who can join our crew.
Su: Who would be out here anyways? It's like the middle of nowhere.
Carlie: Well I don't care, jus- Oh look maybe she can help us.
Carlie spotted a young beautiful girl with long blonde hair drinking a steaming cup of tea. They could sense that her levels were way higher than theirs so they proceeded with caution.
Carlie: Um...we were wondering if you can join our group, you se-
????: I have no interest in helping newbies, I have my own goal to accomplish.
Carlie: Meanie! T_T What is your goal anyways?
????: None of your business and go away it's my tea time.
Su: But some dude named V or something transported us here in this crazy world and told us to build a crew and he gave us some book that we can’t read -_-"
????: (thinking)V? Are they the ones....?
Alright, I guess that leaves me no choice.
The mysterious girl stood up and her cup transformed into a dark blue scythe leaving Carlie and Su shocked and suprised.The girl’s eyes lit up and she did not look so threatening anymore.
Chii: Hiah! I'm Misa but you can call me Chii ^w^ As you can see I'm a shinigami! I would love to join your crew!
The girl spoke cheerfully,as if she forgot about what had just happened.Her sudden change in personality surprised Carlie and Su.
Su: o.o
Carlie: O___O
Chii: What? Did I do something wrong?
Carlie: N-no It's just that you were cold and mean one second and then the next you were all happy...Anyways, I'm Carlie and this is Su ^^
Chii: Nice to meet ya. Carlie is a white mage and Su is a black mage right?
Su: Um... yes how did you know?
Chii: Shinigami have eyes that can see a person's class,abilities, and the when they die, but the date can be changed by a twist of fate ^w^ Oh that reminds me, Su you’re going to die by tomorrow because of poison from that fruit...
Su laughed nervously. After all, it was just a fruit that looked like Martha Stewart, right? Wrong.
Chii: The fruit you ate is called Marthaberry. It is known as one of the most poisonous fruit in all of Treegap. But there’s no need to worry ^-^ The poison can be cured using a mixture of herbs! I happen to have all of the ones needed,but I can’t make the potion
Su: Why not? My life is at stake here!
Chii: Only someone who has healing skills can make potions. People like Healers and White Mages! It’s too bad there isn’t one around...
Carlie coughed a few times.
Chii: Don’t tell me...you ate it too?
Carlie: -_-. I’m a White Mage!
Chii: Ohh...right! So make the potion!
Carlie: Umm....How?
Chii sighed.
Chii: Don’t tell me...you guys didn’t read how to use your powers before you started the game?
Carlie and Su: Nope!^-^
Chii: You guys are hopeless...I guess I have to teach you how to use basic skills in less than 24 hours...Fun! Follow me!
Chii pointed her scythe in a random direction and ran off. Carlie and Su shrugged and ran after her. They arrived in a glade filled with flowers that had a stream running through it.
Chii: Since I am a different class than you,I can only teach you basics! We shall find you a teacher for more advanced stuff later! Now,the battle system relies on your HP(Health Points) and your Mana(Magic Points)! Every time you take a hit,your HP decreases. Every time you use magic,your mana decreases. Only Healers,Mages,Elemental Wizards,Angels,Shinigami and Elves may use magic. Ninjas,Tacticians,Oracles,Warriors and Archers rely on their HP. Their Mana will only get used up if they need healing,where a small portion of their Mana will be used to make cell regenerate faster. HP and Mana will refill themselves over time,but you can speed up the process by drinking a potion,casting a spell or having a Healer heal you. To level up,you simply have to defeat people,creatures or basically anything that can be killed. Everyone,no matter what Class,has their own weapon. It differs from person to person,but some Classes tend to be the same. Shinigami,such as myself, mostly get scythes. To find out your weapon,you can summon it.I will teach you that later. That book that V gave you is your guidebook. You may think you can’t read it,but look closer!
The weird runes and symbols suddenly looked very similar to Carlie and Su,and in the blink of an eye they had turned to simple English.
Su: Cool! Now I can actually read it!
Chii: Everyone gets a guidebook when they enter the game. It contains spells,maps,potions,recepies and any general information someone might need about this world. Now,you must say an incantation to start a spell. The most basic spell is to make a shield in front of yourself to fend off any weapon attacks. Lame,I know. Recite this,and concentrate on making a shield in front of you:
Hail fair moon
Ruler of the night
Guard me and mine
Until the light
Su and Carlie suddenly felt the slight touch of a cool breeze. Before their eyes, two shimmering walls of magic appeared. Su’s was a midnight black,while Carlie’s was a pearly white.
Chii: Good!But you still need a lot of practice!
Chii sliced at both the walls with her scythe and they both shattered. The magic swirled around their feet and disappeared,almost like it had never been there at all.
Chii: As you can see,your magic is not too powerful U_U But don’t worry,we’ll get someone to help you later! For now,let’s take a break!
They sat down on the lush green grass and began eating some of the weird vegetables that V had left them. They were like your average fruits, except for the tacky colours and weird shapes, which all seemed to look like someone famous. As Carlie munched on a fruit that looked a lot like Tom Cruise, a question came to her.
Carlie: Hey Chii, how did you end up in this game?
Chii: I suspect all of us here came here the same way. I was bored on a Saturday,so I decided it might be fun to sign up! So I went through the basic routine, and I ended up here in Treegap. V told me to finish the game,so I've been trying ever since. When I woke up,I found the package. As I ventured along, I grew in levels and met some people. I never got around to having a crew though. V tends to visit people in their dreams a lot, and one time he told me to find my character’s past. So I looked and looked,until I finally realized the past was all in my guidebook! I’ll show you guys later! Hehe ^^
Su: How long have you been here exactly?
Chii: Almost 2 weeks...but time passes differently here in NB. One NB day is equal to one real world second, according to V.
Carlie: What was your character’s past?
Chii suddenly looked sad.
Chii: She was betrayed by her true love, and she died unknowingly. My goal is to find her true love and who killed her before I finish the game...
Su: Oh...sorry...How exactly do you finish the game?
Chii: I have no clue! Whenever I ask V about it he leaves my dreams and I wake up... Nobody else seems to know either...
The girls ate in silence after that, until a rustling in the bushes startled Carlie, who hid behind Su.
Carlie: G-guys...There’s someone in the bushes!
Chii: I know.
Chii calmly got up.
Chii: You can come out now Roku! You’re scaring this human girl!
Roku: Aww,you always have to ruin my fun!
Out of the bushes walked an angel. He had white wings and blonde hair, and in his hand he carried a sword. The wind blew around him, but everything else was still.
Su: ...You’re so cool!
Su turned around to tell Carlie it was okay, but instead smacked Carlie in the face with her hand.
Su: O_O Are you okay?
Carlie: T_T My beautiful face!
While Su was trying to calm down Carlie, Roku approached Chii and stood beside her.
Roku: Are these girls really the ones V chose?
Chii: According to Shade. You know his visions have almost never been wrong.
Roku looked at the two girls who were arguing over how to cover up the huge red mark on Carlie’s face, having completely forgotten what just happened.
Roku: This is going to take a while...I trust that you did not tell them the Absolute Truth yet?
Chii: They have no clue of what’s going on around them.
Roku: Good,now let’s get started.
Narrator: Who is Roku? What is the Absolute Truth? Carlie and Su have no clue of the twisted world that they are currently in. The world is a dark place, can light be restored?
