Well it begins in 2 days. Don't know about you guys but the world cup always makes me feel so nostalgic about my childhood. 2002 I was 6 years old I remember when we lost the final against Brazil, my dad was supporting Brazil and as soon as they won I jumped in his lap and said I am supporting Brazil as well

. 2006 was heart breaking when we lost to Italy. Closest I have ever come to crying about football. 2010 I was so angry we lost to Spain especially because my friend was Spanish. 2014 finally won it and since then I will be honest I haven't cared that much about us winning since I have seen us win it once. Probably a good thing because the next 2 tournaments were forgettable as far as Germany was concerned. Germany ruined 2018 for me by stinking the whole tournament up but while 2022 was forgettable as a Germany fan I was actually supporting Messi and who could ever forget that final.
I am looking forward to this only because I will have a lot of spare time to watch games so hopefully Germany does well so it keeps my interest. Living in England makes me want England to do well, the whole vibe of the country is so nice when they do like in 2018. Not too bothered about Messi since they just won it. I would like it for a new country to win it, Portugal winning it would be nice actually, fitting ending for a great career for Ronaldo himself but unfortunately the fanboys would become unbearable overnight so I don't think I can go so far as saying I hope they win
