He's going to wait and see how he's feeling, but considering he's killing it in MLS I'd say the odds are good.

Personally, I think he should retire as champion, though.

Lol, FIFA is contemplating to increase the amount of participants to 64 for the WC 2030. That would basically be 1/3 of all countries in the world. FIFA really is a megalomaniacal organization.

They've been ruining football for years now, so many stupid and irrelevant tournaments, they just oversaturate and undermine the main attractions of football. They're run by people who are not only corrupt but incredibly stupid and tasteless. Nothing worse than oversaturation. We have the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA European Championship, Copa America, UEFA Champions League, and the domestic league titles, it's already so much, the Euros and Copa America already feel redundant because Europe and South America dominate the World Cup too. We don't need shit like the Fifa Club World Cup and we don't need to include the whole world for all of these tournaments. If FIFA could make a new tournament every day, they would do that. It steals the magic of the tournaments.

It's going to implode sooner or later. Who would even be able to organize a WC of this scope?

The problem is that it's primarily Europe who is against this evolution as in particular Africa and Asia don't mind it. Infantino is just employing the same modus operandi he learned from Blatter, who in return learned it from Havelange: just butter up the African & Asian countries and with the 1 country = 1 vote system, you will always be able to push your policies through.

The entire system is by design meant to incite bribes and corruption.
