Link your wood training where you mastered it, your bio and your passed test.

This is going to be all fact based, like a lecture, but forcing you to the work, Analysis and all that fun stuff.

Thanks Dan u_u
S'all good.

Anyway, lets break this down:

1. What is sage mode?
2. WHat makes up sage mode?
3. How does sage mode work

Limits... etc... how to enter it... balance... control... this is general, not applying it to wood just yet.

Sage mode is the use of natural energy to augment ones abilities to an extreme state. This is done by the user collecting the natural energy while staying completely still and focusing on drawing upon that energy. He then mixes it with his physical and spiritual energy while maintaining a strict balance in order to produce Sage Mode. This balance is needed because if too little natural energy is gathered the mode wont work and if too much is gathered then the energy will overpower the user and will have negative effects. The main one is petrification in terms of the toad SM. If the user can maintain a balance they enter Sage Mode which gives access to different sets of senjutsu which are very powerful.

In terms of the RP the user must gather the energy for one full turn unless other methods are used. Each different SM has different durations and effects depending on who is using it.

You should describe what natural energy is.

WHat are the limits on wood sage mode? How do you gather energy? WHat makes it better than other sage modes?

Natural Energy is the latent energy produced by living things and the planet itself. Sages tap into that latent energy.

RP limits are that Wood SM lasts for a total of 8 turns, 2 extra if a clone who has gather natural energy is dispersed. They can only use SM twice per battle and must wait two turns between uses. While they are waiting between uses the user is left weakened:

"Sage mode ends the user then experiences physical exhaustion reducing their capabilities the following turn preventing him from using techniques above S-Rank and Taijutsu above B-Rank for 3 turns."
Normally a user must be completely still when gathering natural energy but Hashirama's Wood SM is different in that he can still use and control techniques as long as he doesn't have to use handseals or other movements. He also automatically enters the state when he claps his hands together and so can automatically start using Wood Senjutsu while he is still gathering more energy. This allows him to be battle effective while gathering which is definitely better than the other SM's whom must stay still and they don't instantly enter the mode unless they use Amphibian technique or use clones. His drawbacks after the mode wear off are lessened than the other SM modes as he can still use A rank techniques while the others are restricted to B rank and below. He also gains more chakra than the other modes and his modifiers are still on par with Toad Sage mode and is better than the Snake Sage mode (except where they have stronger genjutsu and they get modifiers to all elemental ninjutsu). Finally his SM provides a unique set of Senjutsu which are all very powerful.

Basically, wood sage mode is broken compared to the others. Next to no drawbacks from it and 16 turns in total of it minimum... Wew. Anyway, you understand how it works.

Any questions so far?

How would you enter this in a fight?

If you are gathering natural energy, and i use world shaking, what would happen?

Does gathering Natural energy break genjutsu?

One question actually. If I cancel the mode before it runs out, and I then go back into it, do I start again from 8 turns?

Well this SM has the advantage of being usable in the middle of battle when activating. You just need to clap your hands together and you can still use techniques that don't require handseals. Best thing to do is to make the Wood Human or Dragon before you enter SM and ride on that while you finish up gathering.

Normally it would break the gathering process if you used world shaking. Is it the the same with Hashirama? Since he can battle on his constructs which wouldn't be the best in terms of stability.

Gathering itself doesn't break it but activating Sage Mode does, which since Hashirama can enter SM pretty much instantly in the manga wouldn't these be one in the same?

( Sennin Modo ) - Sage Mode
Type: Supplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra cost: 70 ( adds 450 chakra, consumes -15 per turn )
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user, by clapping his hands together and concentrating will draw into him natural energy which he will then blend with their own chakra adding a new dimension of power to it. By doing this, the user gains access to what is called senjutsu chakra. This new chakra allows the user to enter an empowered state called Sage Mode, which then drastically increases the strength of his techniques and his physical prowess ( speed, strength, stamina, etc). This variation is used by Senju Hashirama bios and it was first seen in the flashback of Hashirama's fight with Madara. Hashirama, through his wood techniques, can gather natural energy and enter sage mode with only a small delay and effort when compared with other users, indicating he can enter sage mode in an easier way than previously considered. Unlike other Sage Mode variants, Wood Sage Mode seems un-related with any animal contract. When he activates sage mode, Hashirama's face gains markings around and under his eyes as well as one in the middle of his forehead reminiscent of a third eye. During the time the user is gathering Natural Energy ( 1 full turn ), Hashirama can still control and use techniques, although he can't physically do any movement, including handseals. Their physical strength, speed, stamina, reflexes, and durability dramatically increase, with much more emphasis on strength, endurance and stamina rather than speed and reflexes. While sage mode is active, minor wounds heal slowly as time passes and the user gains the ability to passively sense his surroundings through the natural energy, in a similar but more precise and enhanced way as normal chakra sensing. Unlike other techniques, the user will not feel any depletion in terms of stamina and energy and will feel revitalized and strong while its active. However, once it ends, the exhaustion of sustaining such a delicate chakra balance takes over the user until he can recover. While Sage Mode is active, the user will take little damage from techniques C-Rank and below, and A-Rank and below Taijutsu and their incredible chakra levels will increase their resistance to genjutsu, being immune to C-Ranks and below and taking -10 damage from all other genjutsu. When Sage mode ends the user then experiences physical exhaustion reducing their capabilities the following turn preventing him from using techniques above S-Rank and Taijutsu above B-Rank for 3 turns. The user can prevent this by using a shadow clone to collect natural energy and dispelling them before sage mode ends or by ending sage mode before it times out. Taijutsu gains +25 damage, Wood Release techniques gain +20 damage, Water and Earth gain +15 damage and Genjutsu gains +5 damage.
Note: Sage Mode lasts for a total of 8 turns, unless a clone is used. After using, the user must wait two turns before they can reuse it.
Note: This variation can only be used by Senju Hashirama bios with Senjutsu or Advanced Madara Uchiha bios.
Note: When used by Madara, he is able to absorb the Senjutsu directly into the Hashirama face on his chest, gaining all the same benefits as Hashirama when using it. However, he can only use these benefits and none of the Wood Sage Mode exclusive jutsu. When used by Madara, it lasts up to 6 turns.

Sage mode can only be used twice per battle and only lasts the time stated in the version used but it can be activated at any point in battle. If the user has signed the Toad contract, the user can have clones in Myobokuzan gathering natural energy. By reverse summoning them, the user is able to, by dispersing them in the battle field, use the natural energy they gathered and replenish his own, prolonging Sage Mode. However, not only do those clones count towards the normal clone limit rules and have to be stated in the beginning of the battle, but the user can only have 2 clones pre-preparared and using them only replenishes 2 turns of Sage Mode each (user must state at the beginning of the battle if he has clones in Myobokuzan pre-prepared). This ability is, however, not available for Minato Bios. Other users can make a clone on the field and leave him gathering natural energy to then disperse and enter sage mode, the duration of it will be the normal one, or to replenish its duration.
Sage Mode cannot be stacked or used with other "modes" or "mode-like" techniques since the fine balance needed to maintain the equilibrium of natural, physical and spiritual energies prevents it.
As you can see in the spoiler, you have to wait 2 turns to activate it again, and once you do you will have 8 turns for that mode again. Think of it like in the Naruto vs pain arc, Naruto entered the fight in sage mode, used up his turn limits with FRS, then activated it again, and still could only do FRS, so he had the same amount of sage chakra each time.

Yes creating the dragon is correct, but remain still on the dragon, no turning your head or anything, if the dragon is destroyed, you fall, and lose your balance.

World shakng throws off you balance, there is no two ways about it, even shinobi who have perfect balance, in the rp, it will cause you to move and so stop that flow.

Excellent.

Any furth questions?

(Note: When you look in the sage techniques list, it's an outdated version of the wood sage mode technique, so use the one from the [mode] thread in the bio rules, i'll fix this later)

Still can't believe how OP the wood sage mode is, so broken xD Anyway, lets do the fun part now:

(Senpō: Myōjinmon) Sage Art: Gate of the Great God
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 70
Damage: N/A
Description:
An amazing sealing technique which is used by Senju Hashirama while in Sage Mode and has so far been seen as the only technique able to contain even the Jubi. After making the Ram seal, the user manifests a select number of red wooden torii gates that fall down from above (manifested mid air above the target), in order to pin an intended target between the gate and the ground. These torii are quite versatile and can be used in several different ways (like pilling them one above the other to increase their sealing strength). Their size is always proportionate to the target and once beneath it, the target becomes unable to mold chakra while having it slowly drained. The torii form instantly and fall down at amazing speed, making it almost impossible for the target to escape it. Two main uses have been seen so far, each with a specific use but with complementary uses:

Ten Seals (封十, Fūtō): Creates up to ten torii that can be used to pin several individual targets simultaneously or on top of each other in a single target. The targets become unable to mold chakra A-rank and above and get their chakra drained slowly (50 chakra points per turn) while beneath the seals. Beneath the seals, the target cannot move. The seals can be placed strategically to completely pin the target down, like in the case of a fully transformed jinchuriki, pinning each tail and each limb to the ground.
Head Seal (封頭, Fūtō): Creates a single, large torii, intended to pin the target's neck beneath it, so as to immobilise their head and finalize the seal. This last seal can only be placed after the user has successfully placed the Ten Seals and doing an additional Ram hand seal. Once placed, the target will not only be fully unable to mold chakra but will also get his chakra drained in 100 additional points per turn.

Note: Can only be used by Senju Hashirama bios while in Sage Mode
Note: The seal is specially effective in Jinchuriikis and Bijuus which, upon having been pinned under the 10 seals in any of their transformations or modes, will be rendered unable to mold chakra for any technique.
Note: Only targets with great reflexes and increased reaction speeds can dodge the technique
Note: Placing the Ten Seals and the Head Seal each count as a move, with the user needing to spend two moves to place both seals in the same turn.
Note: Can only be fully used 3 times.

Come on break this down? Also post any questions you have?

It's a pretty broken jutsu lol, one handseal and ten large gates come down on the person (it's not clear if he forms it in the air or its more like a summoning jutsu). They are pretty fast, and it's not just useful for big targets but it can also be used on single man sized individual (multiple times) or for multiple opponents. Bijuus basically lose if they get caught. Head seal is not really needed but considering wood's weakness to lighting the person would just need to channel a chidori to break through the gates but the Head gate negates any kind of defense. Considering this can be used 3 times and with it's speed, you could technically just keep throwing gates at them.

One question, are each individual gate S ranked?

The way i see it is you have a choice in how you use it:

"Creates up to ten torii that can be used to pin several individual targets simultaneously or on top of each other in a single target."

For for the first, the total would be what ever you actually decide, after the first, it's fair game based on wording. So from this i would follow basic RP rules, the more you make the more the power is spread. But really overall they come down so fast that the rank should matter. From the first i would be S rank, from there the rest just pin them down more, as the power comes from the sealing, not the wood itself. So the seal would hit pinning them down with S rank power, but after that it's really just restricting their movements after that.

As for forming, treat them as though you summon them, otherwise you will be in a fight and someone will be like " as i see the gates growing in the air above me..." which is BS, so they "manifest" basically form out of nothing and come down and pin them down.

Does this help?

Ok well, next two go hand in hand (get it?) nevermind, anyway, buddah and buddah attack:

(Senpou Mokuton: Shin Susenju) Wood Sage Art: True Thousand Hands Technique
Type: Offensive
Rank: Forbidden Rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 150 (-30 per turn)
Damage: N/A (-20 to the user)
Description:
After entering Sage Mode, Hashirama claps his hands together and creates a wooden statue of titanic proportions, easily able to dwarf a tailed beast like Kurama which it can easily grasp in one hand. Thousands of hands emanate from the statue's back in countless concentric rows, while its two main hands are clasped as if in a prayer. This technique seems to be influenced by the Buddhist bodhisattva of compassion, Avalokiteśvara, also known as "Senju Kannon" (Thousand-Armed Kannon). Legend tells that Kannon, vowed never to rest until he had freed all beings from Saṃsāra. After strenuous effort, but struggling to comprehend the needs of so many who still had yet to be saved, his head splits into eleven pieces. The Buddha Amida, seeing his plight, gives him eleven heads with which to hear the cries of the suffering. Upon hearing and comprehending all these cries, Kannon attempted to reach out to all those who needed aid, but found that his two arms shattered into pieces. Once more, Amida comes to his aid and grants him a thousand arms with which to aid the suffering. The statue is able to stand and move in order to attack on Hashirama's behalf. This technique can defend the user from virtually any attack and its offensive abilities are enormous. If used for melee attacks, each of its punches or kicks is equivalent to an S-Rank attack and have enormous reach, spanning up to Long range. To better allow this, it can also detach itself from the thousand hands on its back to move faster and gain agility if needed, which it can regrow later on. Its completely immune to Bijuu chakra techniques and can be used as a medium for (Kakuan Nitten Suishu) - Tenth Edict On Enlightenment in the same way as the Wood Human technique.
Note: Can only be used once per battle by Senju Hashirama with Sage Mode active
Note: Each of its main limbs can output S-Rank offensive damage or defensive strength, while its use counts each, off course, as moves from the user's move count. The thousand hands can also be used to attack or defend in a myriad of ways, never stronger than 2x S-rank, with its usage counting as a move.
Note: Lasts for 5 turns during which the user cannot mold elemental techniques other than Wood, Water or Earth ones.
Note: When the technique ends, the user is depleted of sage chakra and exits sage mode

(Senpou: Chōjō Kebutsu) Sage Arts: The High Buddha's Power
Type: Offensive
Rank: Forbidden rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 100
Damage: 140 (-10 to the user)
Description:
A relatively simple physical attack technique, Hashirama utilizes all the hands of the Wood Sage Art: True Thousand Hands Technique simultaneously to deliver thousands of powerful blows to a target. Due to the sheer volume of the punches involved, defending against the entirety of them is nearly impossible. These punches are of such magnitude that they were able to completely destroy Madara Uchiha's final Susanoo, strip it off the Nine-Tails, while at the same time create a massive crater which later became known as the Valley of the End.
Note: Can only be used twice by Senju Hashirama bios with The Wood Sage Art: True Thousand Hands Technique active.

Lol the main event, the crown jewel of Wood Release and it's a beauty. It's broken as hell, gives tons of bonuses and lasts for 5 turns which is insane with the type of power it gives a person. It's immune to bijuu's and can be used with the tenth enlightenment seal to completely dominate bijuus (especially when I can still use the gates from before aswell). This thing is enormous, the wood golem which is just shorter than full form susano'o can sit on top of the Kanon. It can even stand up to tower over everyone, and its arms can be used to defend from s ranked attacks. Also, I don't have to be touching it and I can still use my other wood techniques. This thing is a broken beast, especially since you can do the 1000 hand strikes twice in a battle, and even right after each other which can demolish anyone. It's a simple technique but absolutely OP....

Any questions about use? Limits? How the technique works?

How would you counter it?

It's simple with use, obviously i just need to make sure I have 5 turns of SM left before I activate it as if i had 8 and went into this straight away it cuts down my SM. One question, the wording is weird here:

"Each of its main limbs can output S-Rank offensive damage or defensive strength, while its use counts each, off course, as moves from the user's move count. The thousand hands can also be used to attack or defend in a myriad of ways, never stronger than 2x S-rank, with its usage counting as a move."
Does that mean I can attack/defend from 2 S rank abilities and it only costs one move?

To counter, unless you are a Uchiha, you'd have to get close to the user and use Genjutsu. If you are also fighting the user on top of the kanon they can't really use the punching technique as it would damage the user and the structure itself. Also fast moving attacks such as Kirin could be used to kill the user before he can defend but that's a long shot. Other than that, space/time abilities are good and MS techniques would be the way to go.

Trip that thing up? xd

Anyway, what i'd say that means is, you can use 2 limbs to defend from S ranks. So using 1 limb to counter 1 S rank, then another limb costing a jutsu, this would amount to two jutsu counts but be your limit for that turn.

That would take some kind of rope to trip that monstrous thing up haha.

Ah okay I get you, well I have no other questions for those jutsu.
