EMS anyday. As for now, I havent seen anything trully impressive from Mokuton.

you guys are so right. cuz hashirama didn't defeat madara with his mokuton techs and it definately wasn't impressive or anything

You can learn so much with the sharingan

you can copy people's movements, but not "learn" where does it say that?
you can learn kung fu or football but thats not all that important compared to intelligence

1. Sasuke has Sharingan, he could predict when Itachi will execute Amaterasu and used his Shunshin just before it. Sasuke has one of the fastest Shunshins in manga.
2. Itachi was nearly blind, no wonder he had problems to focus his eyesight.
3. Itachi had to be carefull, he didnt want to kill Sasuke.

you do realize that shunshin is the body flicker technique right? because he did not at any point in that fight use a body flicker. also he didnt use his sharingan to predict itachi using amaterasu he just started running because it was obvious that he was going to use it due to the fact that he held his right eye closed to charge it up or whatever anyone can just run away from it. i'm not saying that they would actually escape because it will get them eventually but it is definately possible to briefly avoid.

I would have to choose EMS over the wood release even though they're both great kekkei genkai. The reason for this is because the EMS can over a period of time form into the Rinnegan; the most powerful of dojutsu. Also the wood release can be obtained through DNA of the users that already have it e.g. yamato, danzo and zetsu. An example who has succeded in obtaining all of the kekkei genkai that you've mentioned is Madara Uchiha. :headband:

you are a fool. read the bold statement, then the bold, underlined and italicized and you will realize how foolish you are. yea mokuton can be obtained through dna, just like sharingan can be physically stolen from someone's eye sockets.

also for the record, no madara did not obtain mokuton at any point, if you would properly read the manga you would know that kabuto altered the body the madara is in control of so that he cold use mokuton as an edo. he even said himself that something was done to the body

Wood Release can create entire forests in a matter of seconds.

EMS can burn them down with Amaterasu.

I go with EMS, yeah.

I don't think Amaterasu burns strong-ass big huge thick, hard wood forests in seconds. nor would it burn a powerful- chakra supported shield in seconds. eventually yeah, cuz it's eternal, but not fast enough.
Mokuton is a rare ultimate defense that's also an amazing, fast, powerful attack (both attack and defense are like the Gaara's abilities but put to the 4th power) and very useful support. let's not forget that Mokuton users also have other techniques that would make MS users cry ;P tho it would be a pretty good fight haha
Hashirama vs. Madara... i love them both ;P

let's also mention that hashirama can do bunch of stuff behind wooden shield and then attack with all kinds of jutsu supported by the wood. i think even Rinnegan would have trouble with Mokuton to Hashirama's extent in it's usage.

Yes, you can run aside to difficult focus his eyes on you (but this is difficult at long distances), make a mist, hide between trees or obstacles, or even make them if you are a doton user (BTW all times we see amateratsu was at long distances with a clear sight field), hide underground like a mole, etc, etc.

BTW, I remmeber in some anime, a guy with a sword was fighting another uy with ocular powers, and then he used the reflect of the sun in the sword to make him blind for a moment. cool move indeed.
