is it ok to hit a kid? its about the same imo....
so no under no circumstances is it allowed, except she has a weapon....
But a woman isn't a kid, but an adult.

If she throws the first punch and won't stop beating you to a bloody pulp then it's alright to defened your self.
Not all men are strong.

That's quite the controversial question.

I for one, wouldn't hit a girl unless my LIFE depended on it. Yes, i've been hit by girls before, and I did nothing.

I hate having to fight girls at the Taekwondo Academy, because I can't bring myself to hit them, I just evade and throw some very light kicks...

Meh, just taking the hit avoids lots of unneeded drama and whatnot. Sure, a man's justified in hitting back, but that won't solve anything.

I'd just let it go.

well, as the genertic gentleman i'd never fight back, only if i was really ****ing pissed off (smthing has never happened in my entire life) and she was really trying to harm me (kicking me on my balls or whatever). anyway. although i personally wouldn't fight back, surely i think men should fight back if hit first.

Self-defense should always be an option, but if someone were to hit me, I probably wouldn't hit back unless I were in serious danger, as fighting really isn't in my nature....

This argument is entirely dependent on context and is very situational.

What caused her to hit him? If he cheated on her, then he deserves every ounce of physical punishment he is going to get from her, and he should not fight back because he's immoral and pathetic for cheating on her.

But if it's a situation where she is just angry and the guy hasn't done much to provoke such, typically a male is physically more imposing. The male should always attempt to restrain the female until it escalates too far. And in that context, I mean if she resorts to ulterior forms of violence against him, like using weapons as a means to hurt him.

But again, it's entirely based on the context. It's best if "no hitting" was just the placeholder in all of this, because men hitting men, men hitting women, women hitting women; none of it should happen in my honest opinion. Violence is usually just an offshoot of pent up emotions or frustrations and it isn't even typically directly related to the person whom the violence is directed towards.
