Re: with Reborn

Mugen channelled his earth chakra into the ground causing spikes to form from the opponents ankle trapping them against the ground. The assitant shrieked in pain as he casted his genjutsu. "My boss, my boss likes to fondle with his his body dolls when he thinks hes alone in his office." Mugen chuckled softly looking at the blushing face of his instructor.

"Oh I'm not his boss - this Barnacle Assistant means some other dude, and I don't have an office." Tasuke grins then kicks his assistant in the side of the head sending him flying. He coughs and regains himself. "Anyway. Onto the next."

Re: with Reborn

Well the first technique is simple it makes the opponent move from their position, into a trap ehich is pretty neat.

Mugen began by expelling chakra from hos bidy towars his opponent creating the illusion that one of Mugens clones would run towards the opponent and explode into petals, Mugen throw a kunai as his clone exploded the kunai would cut some his teachers hair off but it wouldnt damamge him in any way.

Tasuke simply takes out some shuriken into each hand and throws them at the clone that ran at him, they'd pass straight through it confirming that it was illusionary and would continue towards Mugen - one of the shuriken clashes with his oncoming kunai as the rest headed towards him. Tasuke performed a simple hand seal and released himself from the illusion by recocentrating his chakra stream.

"I ask you the reasoning on why you would RELEASE yourself from the Hellfire technique, not what it was used for."

Hm I'd first see that a jutsu that large would reauire hand seals. The use kai. Or just dodge it, without getting hit.

"How about the fact that the Fireball gives off no heat? The Genjutsu only messes with some aspects of your senses, this one is the case of sight. If you want reasons to break out of a Genjutsu, rely on senses and always remember that they do not interact with the real world as they should. Understand?"

"This next Genjutsu requires you to put me in an illusion where I see the world as distorted, almost blurred like so it makes me incapable of seeing and deducing what is what in the world. I might see something move for example, but what and where exactly? In the illusion you will also make me Feel as though I'm sinking in quicksand, as the sand gets higher up my body as I sink the more I won't be able to move in reality.

( Kasunda Genjutsu ) - Illusionary Arts: Hazy Illusion
Type: Supplementary/Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: This is a simple and not to difficult to discern genjutsu. The user places the target in an illusion where they see the world around them heavily distorted, preventing the target from discerning his surroundings while within the illusion. The technique also gives the impression of the target sinking in quicksand and thus acts as a means to immobilize them slowly.

Mugen smirked and casted the genjutsu, his sensei told him to. The world around his teacher would become heavily distorted. Knowing that he would quickly realize that he was indeed placed in a genjutsu. Mugen launched two dull kunai at his teacher testing his ability. "How's this Mr. Sensei"

"Great counters to this technique are any kind of sensing." Tasuke focuses wind chakra into a Kunai in his satchel, it releases multiple bursts of intangible wind giving him a sense of the area, he sensed the two kunai and also the fact that he wasn't sinking. "obviously not everyone has access to sensory. So you might have to deduct this by the fact that you could just try to defend against the sinkhole using nagashi and release yourself that way with a fullbody surge."

Tasuke takes out a Kunai from his sachel and perfectly and swiftly defends against the two kunai thrown against him; he then nicks a section of his arm and releases himself from the Genjutsu.

"Tada... This next Genjutsu is the last of the C-Ranks and is pretty nice, it has levels of strength depending on if you build on this art or not. However the basis is that you cast an illusion on the opponent with the sole purpose to paralyze them; they feel like they cant move when they actually should be able to - it's just illusionary but it tricks their mind. It's simple so you can perform it on at least two people at this rank. Perform it on me and my Assistant. Then we can move onto stronger stuff and speed up the training a bit huh?"

( Genjutsu: Shibari ) - Illusionary Arts: Binding
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C - A
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15 - 30
Damage: N/A
Description: A very simple yet powerful paralysis genjutsu. The user will cast an illusion which sole purpose is to restrict and paralyze he target. The technique can be cast on more than one opponent at a time, though with the cost of power. The stronger the user is in genjutsu determines how strong their technique is. Non-genjutsu specialists can only cast only use the C-ranked version of this technique and use it on up to two others making the hold D-rank for each individual person. Users with genjutsu as their secondary specialty can use the B-ranked version of this technique and cast the jutsu on a maximum of three people. Users with genjutsu as their primary specialty can use the A-ranked version of this technique and cast the technique on a maximum of three people. Members who specialize in genjutsu are immune to this technique being placed upon them on others with a lower skill level than them; i.e a users with a secondary specialty can't use this on a primary specialist, only those of equivalent rank or lower can be caught with this technique.

Re: with Reborn

Mugen walked forward towards his teachers female assistant, and performed the Genjutsu upon reaching short range. The genjutsu would restrict the opponents movements, Mugen then reached over to grab the assistants breasts weighing them in his hands, playing with them all while being in a state of intense focus. The woman's blushing was apparent although she wasn't able to move. Before either could escape however Mugen back flipped to his orignal position smirking.

Re: with Reborn

*enters*

This is a new jutsu that was added. I never learned this back in the day :/

It's very similar to the D-rank binding ninjutsu for summons that I taught you when we were going over ninjutsu, except this one is an illusion which -like most genjutsu- has tangible effects. The binding can be misinterpreted by an opponent as being physical and not mental in origin. If they decide to use a jutsu that isn't a full-body surge, they would fail to stop the illusion's effects.

Any questions?

I was told that you were informed that you were dropped ;_;

Ok. For this next set, I want you to come up with a solid strategy for using the Double False Surroundings Technique- explain to me how you'd use it in a battle in such a way that makes it so that your opponent wouldn't realize that it's a layered illusion (how would you combo it?)

For the Willow technique, simply give the reasoning you'd use in order to deduce and subsequently dispel the illusion.

(Magen: Nijū Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu) Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique
Type: Supplmentary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description:
The user will do a sequence of 3 handseals, putting his opponents under a double layered Genjutsu. The user is able to create false surroundings to fool his targets, much like the simpler version of the technique. However, the illusion is in fact layered. If the opponent manages to release the first one, he will then feel the effects of the second illusion. If, for example, the first illusion is that of a desert and the second that of a forest, upon releasing the first one, the opponent will see the desert fade away while the forest appears around him, making him think he dispelled the illusion while in essence he is still caught in one. Each illusion is equivalent to C-Rank and both are casted at the same time. While normal releases will release only one illusion at a time, a strong enough pain or an external source of chakra can dispel both at the same time.
( Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi ) - Leaf Ninja Art: Willow
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 35
Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the target locks them in a genjutsu which causes them to hallucinate multiple waving arms. The movement resembles that of a willow tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off guard, the user is free to cut them down.

Re: with Reborn

1. I feel like this would work best while I'm hidden in watery terrain. So he can't expect water techniques of an incredible scale to appear from around him. I would probably layer it first in a desert then in a forest much like the one I'm fighting in without the water.

2. I would simply notice a distortion in my vision, waving swords turning into multiple waving swords, me being healthy and in a battle would be enough information to recognize this as a genjutsu.

Re: with Reborn

Alright... here are two illusions that use plants as their disruptor. Not real plants, though- I mean that plants are the visual that accompany the casting of the technique.

Which of the five senses would be the primary means from which you could draw from to break the jutsu (and why)? Remember, these plants are fake and illusionary.

( Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō Sakkaku ) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, the user will do the Dog → Hare → Snake → Ram hand seals and trigger an illusion where the user first disappears, while the target sees several bean vines growing from the ground around and beneath him. These vines bind the target body, lifting them into the air. Then a bean pod rises from the ground to reveal the user, ready to strike. In reality, the opponent is immobilized by the illusion, allowing the user to strike.
( Magen: Hanarasui ) - Demonic Illusion: Flower Head Death
Rank: B
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: Short- Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40 due to stress on the mind
Description: The user will trap the target within an illusion where the opponent appears to be trapped in a large flower bud which then explodes. The opponent is made to believe that an explosion actually occurred and collapses, believing himself to be injured. The resulting stress on his mind causes damage.

Re: with Reborn

Well for one, I guess plants have a "smell" to them. I would say touch but I'm pretty sure genjutsu simply recreates the effect. Hearing would work for the second one.

Re: with Reborn

Smell would be your best bet; the genjutsu focuses on wrapping around your character, so it makes sense that touch would be replicated.

The principle here is that most genjutsu have to mimic the senses that are most prevalent in the performance of the illusion, though the less-apparent ones won't be. What does this mean? If we look at the previous examples, the illusion's convincing-ness depends on its ability to bind and lift the target, and having a sense of touch replicated within the illusion makes it more 'real'. However, smell would not necessarily be a focus for this one and that would be your opening to break out of it.

Knowing that, which of the senses would you need to focus on for these next two? And from that, which of the other senses might provide an opening from which you could reason it out?

( Magen: Jubaku Satsu ) - Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes five handseals, and appears to dissolve into a mist. Once they stealthily approach the target and get within short-range, the opponent feels completely immobilized, and believes they have been bound by a fast-growing tree and are unable to move. The user then appears as if they emerge from the tree to attack the target. In reality, the target is immobilized, allowing the user to strike or interrogate them.
( Genjutsu: Oshitsubusu Hebi Kubire ) - Illusion Technique: Crushing Snake Constriction
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user puts the opponent into a genjutsu which has snakes appear beneath the opponent to constrict them and with the users command, they crush the opponent. In reality, the opponent is immobilized and takes damage due to the stress on his mind.

Re: with Reborn

I'm tempted to say touch, but I'd say hearing for both. Snakes hissing, or the sound of trees forming. The sudden formation of the two, sight would help me reason out of the genjutsu imo.

Re: with Reborn

Obviously, the two main aspects to this genjutsu are sight and touch, sight being that you see them and touch being that they are required to touch you as part of the genjutsu. Smell, sound, and taste are your other options, and from that, you must pick the best and find a reason that you can apply IC, or get genjutsu'd U_U

( Genjutsu: Iwa Kōka Genjutsu ) - Illusionary Arts: Rockslide Genjutsu
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: This is a technique that can be cast on multiple targets. The user creates an illusion where their target(s) experience several explosions going off near and around them. The ground around and beneath the target(s) will begin to collapse and cause panic and mental damage from the perceived reality of the explosions. The technique, however, is weak when cast upon multiple targets as it only takes one individual to release the technique for large groups of people.
Note: This technique can be cast on multiple targets but when done it only takes one person to release the technique for all parties involved with genjutsu kai. However all members need to be within short range distance.

( Genjutsu: Hanaoka ) - Illusion Technique: Flower Hill
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user summons up illusionary purple flowers from the ground in front of them, damaging enemies with a chance to paralyze them.
Note: Paralysis lasts one turn.

We are going to mix it up now, unless you like your current method. Explain to me these techniques and summarize them for me. Tell me how you'd break them, optimal set ups to use this with, etc. If I feel your replies are sufficient, I will reward you with treats along the way!

Re: with Reborn

1. For explosions go off around the opponent, I could easily decipher this as a genjutsu using sight, as well as sound. As these are the main senses being manipulated. The fact that this effects a group of people but most also be defended by a group of people is a disadvantage under the right circumstances, and a advantage under others. The fact that the ground just suddenly collapses is a useful hint.

2. This is a useful genjutsu but painfully easy to realize as a genjutsu, a flower just appears from the ground and paralyzes you? Doesn't sound very realistic, sight and touch would be the main senses used to decipher this as a genjutsu.

Re: with Reborn

I will go more in depth about the advantages over some and disadvantages over others. I don't like "under the right circumstances, and a advantage under others" kind of statements. They are basically saying nothing. Just mere filler. I won't do this again doe. U_U

The disadvantage is that if you cast this on a group of people that had great cohesion, one could cast genjutsu kai while the other attacks, essentially turning the tides in regards to the time frame aspect in our RP. Basically, makes the genjutsu useless in that sense. Unless you cast this technique slyly enough to make it nigh-impossible for detection.

Now, if your opponents were surrounding you, mid range away each, this genjutsu would be ideal to use. It would occupy both participants, while making them both have to break it individually. Secondly, the technique itself becomes stronger in regards to the explosions when cast on a single target. So that is good too!

( Magen: Chō Shinka ) - Demonic Illusion: Butterfly Evolution
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary/Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user makes one handseal, placing the opponent in a genjutsu. The user then tosses a large number of explosive tags at the opponent. To the opponent, it looks as if they are countless butterflies. The opponent then believes they are sinking into the ground, in reality making them immobilized; this allows the user to place one final exploding tag on their forehead before detonating all the tags simultaneously.

( Nehan Shōja no Jutsu ) - Temple of Nirvana Technique
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes one handseal, placing all the targets in the area under an illusion where feathers appear to fall from the sky. This slowly puts the opponents to sleep after one turn.

Now these are A-ranked techniques. I will ask that you put ample effort into your replies U_U
