After hearing the long explanation from his student he saw his gaze move on somewhere else which forced Hashirama to snap his fingers in front of Tiashe' face.

You said it yourself, concentration and focus. And well done. Now onto the fun stuff.

OOC:

I will post 3 techniques, explain them all and then you will perform them on me. I will then react accordingly to give you some ideas of countering the moves as well as work on our taijutsu skills. Basically mini-spars as we go through the techniques.

(Sennen Goroshi) - 1000 Years Of Death
Rank:E
Type:Attack
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:N/A
Damage Points:5(apply damage cost for kunai and explosives separately if either or both are used with this jutsu)
Description:The user makes the sign of the tiger and force able punches it into the enemy's behind.

No need to explain this. No need whatsoever...

(Gangeki) - Rock Attack
Rank: D
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 20
Description: The user will strike their opponent with a strong punch to the chest

(Dainamikku Entori) - Dynamic Entry
Rank: D
Type:Attack
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:N/A
Damage Points:20
Description:A taijutsu attack were the user does a jumping kick into the opponents face.

Both are straightforward as most of the D ranked techniques are.

Tiashe blinked his eyes in surprise as Hashirama snapped his fingers in front of his face. He stared to focus again, albeit a little embarrassed. But at least it seemed that they were going to start with the techniques now. He was told to perform them on his teacher, as well as explain them.

He was not required to explain the first one though, so he assumed that he did not have to perform it either. It would be rather embarrassing to poke the teacher's behind. xD He knew how to do it though; it was the same technique which Kakashi had used on Naruto.

Tiashe explained the second technique though. This is quite a straightforward attack, as I am sure all D-Ranks would be. And it is also in short range, which is a given because this is Taijutsu after all. This technique causes a little bit of damage, although it can be very easily evaded by catching the attacker's hand.

Tiashe then proceeded to perform this technique on his teacher, although he was a little hesitant to do so. Nevertheless, Tiashe ran swiftly to his teacher, and when he was right in front of Hashirama, he drew out his right arm, and in a straight path, he sent his fist to his teacher's chest. He knew that Hashirama would defend himself though, so he went right onto the next technique, since he was already in short range.

Taking a slight step backwards, Tiashe used his left leg to jump into the air, and whilst in the air, he twisted his body slightly to the left. This gave him the momentum he needed to use his right leg to kick the left side of Hashirama's face. But of course, he knew that his teacher would somehow block it. After landing back on the floor, Tiashe explained this technique to his teacher as well.

Another straightforward attack which can easily be blocked. It is more interesting than the previous one because of it's style. It reminds me of when Sasuke attacked Kakashi in the test that he put them through. It can be defended by using the arms as a blockage.

Without much notice at all, Hashirama poof'd into a cloud of summoning smoke as he was effectively reversed summoned in exchange for the new teacher, Luffy Hozuki. In his new found surroundings, Luffy noticed his new student rushing towards him as he outstretched his right arm with a closed fist, roughly at chest height. In response, the Hozuki's left foot was shifted slightly forward and his right foot, backwards. Arms were held in a boxing manner, with closed fist covering his face as the left lead in front of the right one, both vertically in front of himself. As the punch neared his location, Luffy placed all of his weight on his right foot as he crouched slightly and leaned forward and pushed himself off the ground, launching himself at a slight leftward angle, staying relatively low in order to use the student's own outstretched fist to obscure his own vision.

In a fluid motion, Luffy transferred his body weight onto his left foot as he had launched himself forward. Not only that but he bent his waist to the side, effectively leaning his torso to the left slightly as he outstretched his right arm and forcefully attempted to grab the student's incoming punch by the wrist. Luffy had successfully evaded the direct trajectory of the punch by launching himself forward and to the side, essentially moving away from it and getting closer to the target. In that same fluid gripping motion, Luffy would forcefully swing his right arm outwards at an attempt of spinning the student counter-clockwise. In that same motion, Luffy would use all the weight that had been transferred onto his left foot in order to push off the ground one last time, launching himself directly upwards whilst raising his right knee directly towards the student being spun. If successful the knee would strike on the right-hand side of the student's temple, causing discomfort. However, Luffy stopped inches before physical contact, slowly bringing his knee back down and standing in a neutral position as he patted his student on the back with his left hand and smiled.

"That was a splendid attempt, however don't leave yourself so open when doing such a straight forward attack. The name's Luffy by the way, and I will be your taijutsu instructor. Hashirama had to leave due to some personal issues. Now to begin with my style of training, I'll need you to find a punching bag. I prefer trees, but you may want to choose something softer. After you've found something adequate, I'll have you stand in your preferred stance. (Be as detailed as possible so I can envision it.) Once that's done, you'll begin by hitting the target with combinations of punches, either alternating between fists or using them in combination. I want you to do combinations between; Straight Punches, Corkscrew blows, uppercuts and swings. When doing so, be mindful in order to combine each set of blows accordingly so you can build upon the next, and so on. We'll start off with a 3-punch combination as a warm up."

As Tiashe rushed towards Hashirama, he blinked in surprise as his target suddenly disappeared. In his confusion, Tiashe's reflexes were dulled, allowing himself to be stopped and spun by this new person. He vaguely saw something come near his head and tried shielding himself by moving his right arm on the right side of his head, but there was no impact. Only a pat on the back and a smile which let him know that his person was not a threat.

Deeply embarrassed at being so caught off guard , Tiashe looked at the ground until the person started talking. Ah, so he was to have a new instructor. So early on in the training though...

Tiashe spoke after Luffy finished talking to him, ending with a nervous chuckle.

I'm Tiashe. Pleased to meet you. You scared me there haha.

After listening to his new sensei, he went to find himself a punching bag, as was asked. Quickly finding a tree nearby, Tiashe stood in front of it with his right leg behind his left. He started by performing each move by itself, before moving onto combinations.

Remaining in position, Tiashe twisted the right side of his torso slightly forward and threw his arm forward at the same time, making sure it was straight ahead of him. Right after his straight punch made contact with the tree, Tiashe pulled his right arm back and with his left, he again hit the tree by slightly twisting his wrist. There was one more still. Pulling his left arm back, Tiashe then switched the position of his feet, putting more pressure in his front right foot before performing an uppercut on the tree. His arm came up vertically from around his waist level to hit the tree at head level.

"Shishishishi, sorry I was hungry and I get anxious when I'm hungry." Tiashe seemed like a well mannered kid. Luffy had already grown a liking to him, so respectful and innocent. Immediately after the explanation, Tiashe found the nearest tree to practice on. The Hozuki's eyes locked on his student's stance. A smile was hidden beneath is face when he saw the foot positioning that Tiashe took, as it resembled his own. The first punch sounded very flat, as if no force had been applied behind it. The kid's torso had moved, but judging by his feet's positioning, he hadn't used his lower body to draw out any more power for the blow. Again, the second blow sounded very flat, as if nothing was truly hit. With the last strike, Luffy could see the change in footing as force was applied on the right foot, judging by markings on the ground. A distinctive noise was released, not quite flat, but not quite there either. Luffy casually walked towards Tiashe as he finalized the three-punch combination.

"That was good Tiashe, however did you hear the sounds that your strikes produced? They sounded very flat, as if they weren't packing much of a force behind them. When delivering a punch, you not only use your arms and hands, but your entire body. It is all about weight distribution. Knowing when to transfer your weight from your foundation, which are your feet, all the way up through your legs, rotating your hips and then finally onto your arms as you keep your arms closed to the side of your body and flex your back muscles to stay tight and firm. What you were doing could almost be considered a jab, which is a very light and quick punch. I want you to try again, however this time, you will do a six punch combination, alternating as you see fit."

Luffy bent down as he grabbed Tiashe feet and began rubbing his hand across his legs and throughout his hips, back and arms. Indicating how the amassed power was going to flow through.

"Remember, the energy inside you is like water and your body is like a river that that flows the water in a certain direction. Your aim is to create a strong current that produces a lot of power. Everything starts with your foundation. The more solid your foot foundation is, the better your weight and power distribution will be into your strikes."

After performing the punches, Tiashe listened to Luffy, nodding his head every so often to indicate that he was listening. He had also noticed that his punches weren't all that great, so he listened carefully. He also tried hard to feel where the energy would run through by the way his teacher indicated.

Not taking long to begin, Tiashe stood in front of the tree again with his right foot behind his left. His arms were on his side. As he prepared for the first strike, Tiashe put slightly more weight on his front foot, at the same time bending the knee slightly. His arms also both came up so that the elbows were bent and his fists were closed. As his knees bent slightly more, Tiashe's torso moved clockwise to the right , making his right arm further behind. The energy moved from his torso to his back, then to his arms. In a quick motion, Tiashe used all this pent up energy by striking his right arm forward in a straight motion to make contact with the tree. In the process, his torso moved counterclockwise this time, and his left fist was up by his waist.

Without wasting any time, Tiashe pulled his arm back and untwisted his hip, returning to his normal fighting stance with the right foot behind the left. He made all the same bodily movements as he had with the previous punch, but this time, when he threw his arm out to the tree, he twisted his wrist before striking the tree. Again, he went back to his fighting stance. For his next punch, a swing, Tiashe again used the same body movements and when it came to the punching part, he stretched out his arm so that it was not bent, and he swung it hard on the tree, causing his body to rotate slightly more counterclockwise that it had with the previous two punches. After returning back to his fighting stance, Tiashe switched his feet so that his right foot was now in front of his left, as preparation for the uppercut. With his fists at the side of his hips, Tiashe put more pressure on his right foot and rose his arm vertically from his hip in a fast motion so that it hit the tree at head level. Tiashe then returned to his normal fighting position and executed the straight punch and the swing as he had already done.

Picking his nose and flinging buggers around while looking at his student, Luffy nodded in response to his student's improvement. However, a slight concern began to overwhelm him as he noticed his student's foundation. The knees had bent, but he wasn't effectively using the amassed power by pushing of the ground. With a smile on his face, Luffy spoke out to his student. "Can you hear the difference in your strikes? They sound more solid, good job. However, they could sound better. You got so caught up with amassing the power from your mid-section that you completely forgot to use your foundation. I noticed that you bent your knees, but you didn't seem to be pushing off the ground and transferring that momentum onto your waist, and so on. As for your combinations, they seemed lacking in the sense that it appeared as though you were doing individual punches, one after the other, with pauses and not chaining together a combination. This is but only the beginning of your training so there is much more time for improvement, so far you've done great. " Reaching into his pouch, Luffy grabs a pair of trench knives which he puts on as he begins explaining the new portion of the training.

"You see these little guys? Their called Trench knives. Their similar to knuckles but as you can see, they have a small bladed protruding to either side, making them quite effective and deadly. It's time to finally move onto techniques as you've gotten adjusted to moving your body and distributing weight. On these next techniques, I want you to apply the notes I mentioned before regarding your foundation and moment. Always be weary of how and where you place your feet, and how you shift them." With a simple hand sign, a replica of Luffy is materialized beside him, made completely out of compressed water. "You see this guy? He will be your training partner. For now, you'll be learning six techniques, that we'll be splitting into segments. I'll list them by name so you can remember them; Punch, Dynamic Action, Leaf Thunder Fist, Wolf Fang Rising, Uppercut & Double Fist. I want you to choose two of the aforementioned techniques and combine them to strike my clone. Bare in mind that he will be fighting back. Oh and by the way, don't use the Wolf Fang Rising technique, as they will be left for the end. In fact, I will not only list them, but also show you!" As he said this, Luffy ran towards his clone as they alternated back and forth with each of the techniques that he had previously named. Every time one was performed, he would yell out its name, to verify which one did what. He finalized everything with a slicing uppercut produced by the Wolf Rising technique, dispersing the water clone's head, only to have it materialize moments later. "BEGIN!"

After completing the attacks, Tiashe turned around to listen to his teacher's feedback. It seemed that although he had improved somewhat, he was still not quite there yet. Ah, so he seemed to be missing the pushing off the ground. That did seem essential when he thought about it.

Err, I'll try to make my attacks more like combinations.

He then watched with curiosity as Luffy brought out these trench knives and wondered what they would be used for. But he soon forgot about them when he heard that he would start doing the techniques. Tiashe then watched on as Luffy created a clone and performed the techniques on it so that he could see how they worked.

Tiashe decided to start with the Dynamic Action. Jumping into the air, Tiashe pulled his chest slightly back, then he hurtled his body forwards through the air, doing a front flip. As he started coming down, Tiashe extended his right leg, hitting the clone's shoulder with his right heel hard. He then kicked the clone's chest with his left foot, so that he could move off the clone's shoulder by doing a backflip. Landing back on the ground, Tiashe crouched forward on his right foot, and in a quick burst of energy, he jumped off it, causing him to fly to the clone at a fast speed. Using this momentum, Tiashe held out his right arm and smashed his fist into the clones chest. He then landed back on the ground right in front of the clone, and, crouching on his right foot again, Tiashe jumped forward and punched the clone's stomach with his right fist. Tiashe took a step back then and with his left foot in front, he brought his right leg around to meet the clone's head in a roundhouse kick. He followed through by bringing his foot back, and jumping off his left foot which he had slightly bent, and delivered another punch to the clone's stomach with his right fist. Tiashe continued by stepping forward with his left foot, letting the pressure flow from his foot to his arm as he jumped forward slightly, punching the clone's chest with his left fist. This attack ended with both his left foot and left fist in front. To end it, Tiashe put pressure on his left foot again, and as he released it by jumping up slightly, he also brought his left fist straight up to meet the clone's chin, making an uppercut.

Luffy kept his eyes peeled as his student flipped, spun and even dealt direct strikes to the clone, alternating between higher strikes down to mid-range. Judging from Tiashe's performance, his dominant hand was his right, as he leaned more towards striking with it as opposed to equally alternating with his left.

That was a good performance, I especially liked your heel strike and combo'ing it to a strike to the chest with your opposite foot and exiting into a back flip. That's what I truly call a combination! As for the rest of your assault, I could see that you leaned more on using your right fist, which your opponent can take notice on and try to immobilize your dominant hand. When fighting in close combat, its best to alternate as best as you can so they can't predict your movements. If they know which hand you use the most, they will account for that when they are counter-attacking. This entire performance gave me the impression that you may favor leg-attacks more than fists. From what I could see, you incorporated the Dynamic Action technique along side the Punch and finalizing it with the Uppercut technique. Although the punch was part of your Dynamic Action, it is such a simple assault that we'll be counting it within the combination.

Suddenly the clone regenerates all the damage dealt to it as it stands firmly in front of Tiashe with a look of determination. To initiate the next session, the clone leaps backwards and makes some distance between the two up to five meters away.

Its time to move onto the next two techniques, you'll be doing the Leaf Thunder Fist, and the Double Fist techniques. The first revolves around jumping into the air and using that same momentum to spin forward and transfer said force into the fist which is delivering the strike. The second technique is more straight forward and has two different end-goal applications. By using both of your fists, you will strike the clone in the chest and depending on how you angle your strike, or how large your target is, he will either be sent towards the ground forcefully, or launched backwards. This is dependent not only on the situation at hand, but also the difference in size between you and your target as well as strength difference. The clone is ready, begin when you're ready!

After that intensive attack, Tiashe looked at the clone who looked pretty beaten up. He was surprised that the clone had just taken all of that; he thought it was going to defend against his attacks. Anyhow, Tiashe looked back at Luffy speaking to him. He made a pretty good point about his tendency to use his dominant hand.

Ah, I didn't even notice I was doing that! Thanks for pointing it out.

Ok, so I guess I don't need to do the simple punch again in this set of combos.

Tiashe noticed that the clone regenerated then, and hopped a few metres away. Standing in front of the clone and looking back at it with an equally determined look, Tiashe was prepared to attack.

Without much notice, Tiashe jumped into the air, pulled his chest slightly back, before hurtling through the air towards the clone in a front flip. Diving head first, with his body at a 45 degree angle and his head lower than his legs, Tiashe stretched his left arm out with his hand curled into a tight fist. As he got closer to the clone, his fist made contact with the clone's chest, sending it reeling backwards. Tiashe himself was pushed back a little from the impact, and as his fist bounced off the clone's chest, he landed on his feet about two metres away from the clone.

Not giving the clone much time to regain its composure, Tiashe leaped off his left foot, allowing his right leg to be in front. He brought out both his arms to his side with his elbows bent and his fists ready to punch. As he came right in front of the clone, Tiashe used his whole bodily momentum from the leap to help him with the punch. Driving both fists into the clone's stomach, Tiashe finished by landing on the floor in front of the clone in a position with his right leg in front of his left leg, slightly bent, and his left leg straight, with his body slanted forwards. Since the force of his whole body was behind this punch, the clone was thrown backwards.

It was as if Luffy's clone had fallen asleep with its lucid dreams of eating. In a frustrating gesture, Luffy outstretched his right arm upwards, bringing it down with an open palm towards his clone. In a forcefully manner, the palm struck the clone's head, completely splashing it apart in response to its incompetence. "BAKA! You were suppose to counter those!" yelled Luffy towards his clone for having stood there as a punching bag for the combination that his student had just performed. Being slapped back into reality, the clone began focusing on the target ahead as his student flipped forward. Originally having plans to perform a downwards pressure palm, the clone opted to perform the intersection method instead. With their distance swiftly closing, the clone noted the outstretching limb inching closer to him. Acting fast and fluidly, the clone raised its right knee whilst simultaneously and forcefully bringing down his right elbow. This was done in a way to effectively catch the striking limb in between the two connecting points by the wrist area, effectively shattering his student's wrist, or so he thought. Moments before performing the action, the clone changed its mind as the counter would be too severe for training.

(Kōsa Hō) – Intersection method Rank: B Type: Defence Range: Short Chakra cost: N/A Damage points: 40 Description: With this jutsu, the user is able to intercept and counter an oncoming taijutsu technique by raising the knee, and driving the elbow downwards at the same time. This catches the attacking limb between his two limbs, and drives the elbow down with great force, effectively shattering the bone.

Instead, the clone raised his right arm with a closed fist and held it paralleled to his body, protecting the side of his face. Meanwhile, the clone had also charged forward in a burst with a single step, pushing off of the ground with all his might with his right foot, which was slightly behind his left one, closing the distance between himself and the incoming student, whilst also maneuvering past the incoming strike, using his right arm to slide the strike away. In a fluid and swift motion, the clone utilized his left foot to push off the ground and transfer his energy and momentum through his legs and hips whilst extending his left arm upwards with an open palm. By using the base of the palm, the clone beneath Tiashe's chin, knocking him backwards with increased blunt force damage due to the two opposing forces meeting together. After being hit, Luffy's student easily got up and readjusted himself only to burst forward at an attempt to strike the clone once again. In response, the clone entered a wide stance by spreading its legs apart, more than shoulder width apart, naturally causing his body to lower. The clone's body was lowered just enough to have the incoming fists be caught by the clone's barehands, forcefully wrapping around Tiashe's enclosed fists, using his stance to absorb and transfer the momentum into the ground as he is pushed backwards as he forcefully flexes his arms in place directly in front of him, containing his student's rage as he himself, is being shifted backwards.

A-hohohoho, that combination looked splendid, you did a great job Tiashe! Now its time to move onto the last technique of the set that we went over.

Swinging his arms outwards, Luffy slipped off his trench knives and threw them towards his student, signaling him to perform the Wolf Fang Rising technique. Meanwhile the clone stood without any weapons of his own, ready to defend from the onslaught.

OOC: Great job!! I loved some of the descriptions you included in the second portion of your assault, I could picture your body perfectly.

Tiashe giggled a little at the sight of his teacher hitting the clone and telling it off. So he was not that surprised when the clone defended against his techniques this time, although he did get a little scared when he saw the clone bringing his knee up and elbow down. He knew that would hurt a lot, so he was grateful when the clone changed to another form of defense which didn't really harm Tiashe. As the clone countered his second technique so easily with his bare hands, Tiashe felt the difference between their skill levels, and thought it seemed like child play to the clone who was much more experienced than himself. Still, he gave a sheepish grin as he was praised.

Catching the trench knives that Luffy threw to him, Tiashe held them in his hands, with his arms in front of his body, ready to strike the clone who was only about a metre away. Knees slightly bent, Tiashe had his left leg slightly ahead of the right. Putting slightly more pressure on his left foot, Tiashe crouched forward a little, letting the momentum run from his leg, through his hips, back, and then his left arm as he punched the clone in the chest with his left fist, leaving his arm straight, and the right arm slightly behind, still bent. At the same time as he pulled his left arm back, Tiashe moved his right fist forward in a quick motion, slamming it into the clone's chest again. As his punch went through the clone, Tiashe used this momentum to step forward with his right leg, which was now in front. His left arm, holding one of the trench knives, was also more back. Moving his upper body slightly back, Tiashe put pressure on his right foot, then brought his left arm forward to slash the clone's face with the trench knife. This part of the attack ended with his attacking arm near the floor, his right arm bent and back, his left leg straight, his right leg significantly bent, and his body bent forward at a 45 degree angle. As he brought his left arm back, Tiashe put pressure on his right foot and brought his right fist in front of him, and up to make contact with the clone's jaw, ending the attack with an uppercut, lifting the clone into the air if he did not defend.

OOC: Thanks ^^

With a use of a single hand seal, Luffy began to focus chakra into his water replica and compress its outer layering body with a crystalline-like composition, making him more sturdy for what was to come. In a very Gentle-Fistsique fashion, the clone assumed a wide stance with his spaced more than shoulder width apart, lowering his body slightly with bent knees. As the first strike was launched, the clone reacted by effortlessly raising his right arm with an open palm, having the back of his hand facing side of the incoming strike. With a simple gesture, the clone forcefully diverted the blow by applying force to the side of the incoming strike, not directly going against its forward momentum, thus effectively diverting it. Moments later, the clone did the same exact thing with his opposite hand, diverting the blow coming from the other side. With Tiashe's sudden retaliation, he could see as his left fist was approaching with the trench knife, heading directly for his face. In a fluid motion, the clone leaned back slightly and fully utilized his sturdy stance/foundation to maintain his balance whilst bringing both of his hands upwards. While doing so, he aligned them directly beneath the incoming strike, forcefully striking beneath the student's wrist/arm area, effectively deflecting the incoming slash as Tiashe's arm is diverted upwards/backwards in the process.

(Shubi Kurēn) Defensive Crane
Type: Defensive/Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A
Damage: 30
Description: A very advanced and complex defensive form, the Defensive Crane allows the user to divert the path of incoming attacks with the back of his hands, using circular and wide movements that expand outwards. He can intercept weapons or incoming taijutsu attacks. The technique is best used when facing an opposing Taijutsu move by diverting the incoming limb to one side and combo the defensive stance with an attack, exploiting the opening created.

These two techniques you'll be learning next will be the last of the punching set, after that we will move onto palm and elbow strikes. The first technique is called; Lightning Bolter and it is essentially a combination of punches, starting up the combination with two strikes, with the second one being strong enough and angled in a way that would launch the target into the air. You will then proceed to jump into the air above the target to then strike them back down towards the ground with another punch. While in mid air, you will release a large shuriken, which can consist of a windmill one or anything that you have in your possession. The shuriken is used to disable the target and make it hard for them to move as you come raining down in a spinning fashion similar to a drill, incorporating punching attacks to trill the target into the ground even further with your assaults. A very awkward combination to say the least, so you'll be performing it on a straw dummy target. The second technique is more on the simple side and its name is; Leaf Combo. As the name suggests, it is a combination between the initiation of starting to strike the target with a punch to the chest, and then followed with a quick punch to the gut, preferably with alternating fists to make it faster and deadlier. To finalize the combination, you will deal a palm strike with your desired palm, angled in a way that would push him to the ground, so be cautious of where you strike him and by him, I mean the clone!

(Raikou Boruto) – Lightning Bolter
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 40
Description: The user punches the opponent twice with their fist. The second launches them high into the air. The user then jumps above them and punches them back down. Then, the user disables the opponent with large shuriken from above, then lands several powerful blows while spinning like a drill, drilling the opponent into the ground.

(Rīfukonbo) Leaf Combo
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 40
Description: The user performs a small combo where he starts by punching the enemy in the chest and then a punch to the gut, and then a powerful palm thrust, pushing him down to the earth.

As expected, the clone easily blocked his attacks. Maybe a bit more than just block though. Tiashe rubbed his wrist where he had been striked, trying to forget the pain as Luffy started explaining the last two punching techniques to him.

Spotting a straw dummy a few metres away from him, Tiashe ran over to it. He then searched his belongings for a large shuriken, loosely attaching it to his back so he could use it in this attack. Standing with his right leg ahead of his left, Tiashe put pressure on his right foot, giving him the momentum needed to throw a straight punch to the dummy's stomach with his left fist. As he retracted his arm, he again put pressure on his right foot, but this time he punched the dummy's stomach with his right fist. This punch was angled upwards at more than 45 degrees, and so the dummy was thrown up into the air. Tiashe himself jumped into the air, coming up adjacent to the dummy which had its back to the sky and was parallel to the ground. In an almost standing position, Tiashe bent forward and punched the dummy squarely in the back, causing it to fall to the ground really fast. As it landed on the ground, Tiashe swiftly grabbed the shuriken from his back and threw it at the dummy, pinning it to the ground. As Tiashe started to fall, he spun his body around so that it spun like a drill. His body was vertical to the ground with his head closest to the ground. Stretching out his arms, Tiashe started pummeling the dummy with punches, drilling it into the ground. He then jumped off his arms in a front flip, landing on the ground above the dummy's head.

With that done, Tiashe jogged back to the clone. Whilst the dummy couldn't retaliate, Tiashe knew that the clone could. Standing in front of him with his right leg in front of the left, Tiashe applied pressure to his right foot before leaning forward and punching the clone in the chest with his right fist. At the same time as he was bringing his arm back, Tiashe shifted the left side of his torso forward and punched the clone's stomach with his left fist. He then withdrew his arm, remaining in the same position. Standing with his left arm bent at his side, and his right arm in front of his body holding his open palm, Tiashe moved his left arm slightly forward and his right arm slightly back. Then he did the opposite. Using the momentum of the opposing forces, Tiashe slammed his right palm right under the clone's throat. He had angled it slightly downwards so that the clone could fall onto the floor.

That straw dummy didn't see what was coming! Shishishi

Luffy seemed to be enjoying his student's performance as he now moved onto the crystalline water clone for the second technique. Having watched Tiashe perform the same stance countless times with his punching motion, the clone had already memorized his potential reach. As his right fist was extending, the clone pushed off the ground with both of his feet in a sudden burst, distancing himself slightly from the student, having the fist land an inch away from his chest. However, much to his surprise, Tiashe had done something new in his punching combinations as he leaned forward to close the distance as he extended his left fist to strike him low. Widening his stance to get lower, the clone thrusted his right palm upwards, striking Tiashe's left wrist with the base of his palm, causing the arm to go swinging upwards as both clashed. As the left punch was negated, Tiashe quickly thrusted his opposite palm in to finalize the combination. To counteract him, the clone thrusted his own left palm forwards to meet the incoming palm, forcefully intertwining his fingers with Tiashe's, as he forcefully gripped his hand and stopped the strike in its tracks.

For a second I thought you would resort to your old habits, but you seemed to have included a new spice to your combination. I liked how you leaned forward. As you saw, when the clone distanced himself to avoid the first strike, he was unable to completely avoid the entire combination because you had closed the distance by leaning forward, being within striking distance once again. What the clone used to block your second assault was a palm strike. In this next lesson we will be covering attacks that are done with the hands, mainly palm strikes or strikes that utilize the hands, like slaps or the back-hand. Since we've already covered punches, you have gotten a gist of weight distribution and effectively flowing the power through your body, so we will also be incorporating elbow strikes with this lesson.

I want you to go back to the tree that you originally practiced your punch combinations and begin working on palm and elbow strikes. Just like before, to be afraid to combo them together. There are many things you can include in your palm strikes, very similar to punches. Things such as; Upper Cuts, corkscrew blows, wide swings, cross overs, open handed strikes, closed fingers with an open palm, or even strikes with the back of the hand like the defensive crane technique I demonstrated earlier. Elbow strikes on the other hand are more limited as by default, you have a limited range of motion so those will be more straight forward, being composed of mainly; Crossover swings, upper cutting, bringing the elbow directly down or even swinging diagonally. To begin this lesson, I want to you do a three palm/hand combination and then follow it with a palm, hand and elbow combo to finalize it.

Just when Tiashe thought his technique would be easily defended again, he noted that this time the clone looked a little surprised at his attack. Nevertheless, he still swiftly stopped Tiashe's attack.

I see, I should do more of this leaning forward then eh. Although your clone will get used to that too.

Tiashe rubbed the back of his head a bit. When he had leaned forward, it had not even occurred to him that he was closing the gap. It was somehow just more of an instinct after the practice he had done so far.

He listened with interest as Luffy explained the next lesson they would be covering, before proceeding to walk over to the tree again. Moving into his usual stance with his right leg ahead of the left, he applied pressure on his right foot. Tiashe curled the fingers of his right hand halfway, leaned forward a little as the pressure from his foot gave him momentum, and then thrust the bottom of his palm on the tree at shoulder height. At the same time as he withdrew this arm, Tiashe moved the left side of his torso slightly forward, and issued a slap motion to the tree at head height with his left hand. He then withdrew this hand and applying pressure to his right foot again, Tiashe curled the fingers of his right hand, before bringing his palm up with force to make contact with the tree at chin height, which would be an uppercut. His fingers were closer to his body as he did this.

He was not done yet. Switching his legs around, the left was now in front. With his left hand bent in front of him, and his right palm open, a little behind, Tiashe moved his left hand forward and his right hand back, before forcefully moving his right hand forward, thrusting his palm into the tree at chest height. The right side of his torso moved forward as he did this. As Tiashe brought his arm back, he shifted the right side of his torso considerably back so that his left arm was very forward. He then struck out with his left hand, backhanding the tree at face height. His torso also straightened up again. After the backhand, Tiashe let the hand follow through and allowed his body to swing almost sideways on his left foot so that more of the right side of his body faced the tree. His right leg was now in front. Barely putting any pressure on his left foot, and putting most of his body weight on his right foot, Tiashe held his arm out in front of him, which was bent. He then pivoted on his right foot clockwise, elbowing the tree at head level, before bringing it down and straightening his body up again.

Ohohoho!... interesting, incorporating pivots with your elbow strikes. Your progress is showing as time passes.

"After being hit so many times, the tree that had been infused with Yang-Natured chakra decided it was time to retaliate. As the elbow strike was being dealt, a hand with an extending arm sprouted from the mid-section of the tree, grabbing a hold of Tiashe's arm mid-strike. In a moment's notice, a foot sprouted from the lowest point of the tree which quickly extended with a leg attached to it, striking Tiashe in the abdominal area, sending him back a few meters. Accompanied with the noise of growing branches, a physical wooden replica of Tiashe had been formed. With two huge forceful steps, the wooden clone bolted forward, launching itself towards the startled student. Leading with its left foot mid flight, two inches from the ground. Using its momentum and weight distribution, the replica turned its torso clockwise whilst simultaneously swinging its left arm paralleled with the ground to strike the side of Tiashe's face. Meanwhile, the replica's right leg was being brought up, pressed tightly against its chest like a spring. In unison with the extending swing, the right leg was forcefully brought downwards at an attempt to stomp on the student's abdominal area and launch them backwards to gain some distance. The strikes were timed to hit their mark at roughly the same time, utilizing the stomping strike as a safety precaution."

SHISHISHISHI, it seems like the tree didn't take kindly to your abuse! Keep your eyes pealed and defend from the assault while counter-attacking with what you've learned so far. Put emphases on what you just practiced more than anything, specially on elbow usage.

Tiashe had just been about to elbow the tree, when all of a sudden, he felt his arm being grabbed. Looking at his arm, he found... the limb of a tree! It was shaped like a hand, and had grabbed his arm. Without any notice, Tiashe found himself being thrown backwards as a force hit his abdomen. Dumbfounded, Tiashe looked to see what had hit him. And it was the tree again, this time in the shape of a foot. Intrigued, he looked from the tree to his teacher, then back to the tree again.

To make matters worse, Tiashe heard a strange sound, only to find that the tree had created a wooden replica of himself. Tiashe had never known such a strong tree before... The clone then started running to Tiashe in order to attack him, and Luffy warned him and gave some advice. As his replica glided over the ground, Tiashe could see that two attacks would be landing on him at the same time. What to do... He decided it would be best to avoid the attack by using an elbow attack. After all, Luffy had told him to focus on elbow usage. As the replica came within half a meter of Tiashe, he put all his body weight on his left foot and twirled clockwise so that he came up behind the replica, with his back facing the replica's back. At the same time as he started twirling, Tiashe had brought his right arm up to his chest, with his elbow pointed outwards. As he came to the end of the twirl, Tiashe used the momentum to drive his elbow hard in the back of his replica, sending it flying. He then put his weight equally on both feet again.

"As the wooden replica had launched itself and momentarily glided above the ground, it was completely overwhelmed by the student's quick reflexes. Within a moment's notice, Tiashe's twirl worked wonderfully as an elbow strike was dealt directly behind the clone, sending him flying to the ground. Moments later, the replica would stand back up and face the student once again. "

*Clapping* "Great job! That's what I call taking advantage of the situation. You saw that your opponent didn't have physical contact with the ground for a mere moment, and acted upon that by turning around as the forward momentum carried them past you, only to have you strike them in the back. You've done great thus far. Without you knowing it, you've actually learned to perform the; Slap technique when you struck the tree with your left hand, and even the Pressure Palm when you struck with a palm strike. Although it wasn't angled directly toward the ground like it should have, you have gotten the basic concept of the technique. There is also the Upwards Attacking Palm which was used when you struck underneath the clone's chin. Again, it is traditionally used to strike the abdominal area, but this a simple manner of changing where you deal your strike. (Always follow the instructions of the technique) And lastly, you utilized the Crumbling Palm technique to finalize one of your combinations."

Now its time for some revenge on the clone that has been making your life absolute hell. You'll be learning your first elemental-based close combat technique. There is an entire fighting style that incorporates elements with taijutsu, however this technique is very simple so it was left in the regular Strong Fist category. It is called "Zeus" and it essentially is an uppercutting palm strike to knock the target into the air. However you'll be infusing lightning natured chakra throughout the utilized palm for added damage and sting. The sudden strike of lightning will cause them to flinch if struck, not allowing them to react instantly afterwards. This however does not paralyze them for a turn or anything of the sorts. Hmmm.... to make things better.. I am going to have you do a combination styled assault with the Leaf Rock Destroying Rise first. The technique is essentially an elbow strike with the aid of your opposite arm. This means that with your striking elbow, you'll make a closed fist and utilize your opposite palm to forcefully guide and push the strike, essentially fortifying it and making it more sturdy and firm. I want you to initiate the combination by applying the elbow attack, specifying where you strike and how you do it, and then finalize the combo by utilizing Zeus. (Be as detailed as you can with the elbow strike and how/where its done.)

(Raijin) - Zeus
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will strike the target into the air with a lightning infused uppercutting palm attack.

(Konoha Kaiganshō) - Leaf Rock Destroying Rise

As Tiashe stood upright again, he turned around to the sound of Luffy clapping. He felt a little embarrassed because hadn't actually put that much thought into the fact that it would be easier to attack the replica when it was in the air. Nevertheless, he accepted the praise. He was genuinely surprised though at the fact that he had performed those techniques without realising it. He had thought he was just randomly lashing out at the tree at the time.

After listening to the instructions for the next techniques, Tiashe could see that his replica had gotten up from the attack and was facing him. Walking closer to it, Tiashe put both his arms up horizontally in front of him with his right hand in a fist, touching against his left palm, and both his elbows jutting out. Pivoting anticlockwise on his left foot so that he was side on to the replica, Tiashe put his right leg a little up and to the left with the knee slightly bent, causing his torso to move slightly back at the left side. He then pushed his left palm against his right fist, at the same time forcefully landing his right leg on the floor close to the replica, making his torso straighten up again. As soon as his right foot hit the floor, Tiashe put pressure on it, which helped drive his incoming right elbow hard into the replica's chest. This would cause it to stumble backwards.

In the same motion, Tiashe pivoted his right foot so that his toes faced the replica, and took a step forward with his left foot, applying pressure on it. Bending his right knee, Tiashe curled his fingers halfway, then brought his left palm up to make contact with the replica's chin, releasing lightning as he did so.

"With a launch of his student's assault, the wooden replica is overwhelmed as the elbow strike successfully lands, moving him backwards slightly. From his peripherals the clone notices Tiashe's left hand speeding forward as an electrical essence crackles around the hand. Sensing the danger, the replica widens his stance by spreading his feet more than shoulder width apart to create a sturdy foundation. He then unexpectedly leans his upper half backwards whilst bringing his left arm behind him with an open palm that faced the ground. In that same motion, the clone forcefully swings its left hand from left to right outwards. The replica times and aims it in order to intercept inside of Tiashe's left wrist, striking it away in a outwards swinging motion, effectively moving the electrified palm strike away. Once physical contact is made and the charged palm strike is diverted away, the clone loosens his stance and falls backwards, using his left hand pillar to lean on. Meanwhile, the replica would transfer that falling back momentum and distribute his weight onto his right foot as he swings his foot upwards, attempting to kick Tiashe directly underneath the chin. In unison, the clone would transfer all of his body weight onto the left hand holding him in place as he swings his left leg outwards at an attempt to knock away Tiashe's right arm in case it was used as a defensive measure. The replica's right hand had been held in place in case Tiashe's left arm made its way back to attempt and intercept, lowering the options for defense."

"Tiashe act quickly and use the back of your hands in circular motions to fend off the replica's retaliation! Think back on my earlier defense and the clone's own defensive measure against your palm strike, both he and I used the Defensive Crane technique. If you can still hear me and concentrate, I want you to perform the Leaf Rising Cyclone technique immediately after finding an opening once you've defended! You'll have to pivot on your desired foot as he you effectively spin your body and deal a strike to the clone with the back of your fist. To finalize the combination, you'll have to use your alternate leg to forcefully kick the replica away and create some distance between the two of you!"
