Landing in the witchwood area, Strix signed up for the King of the Hill competition and waited. Sitting in a meditative pose in the middle of the arena she formed two clones and waited.

(Kage Bunshin no Jutsu) - Shadow Clone Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20 (total chakra is divided by the final number of clones plus the user)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's chakra evenly among the clones and himself and creates a real copy with form and substance. The clones, a max number of 4, are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after hit by a strong enough force, returning 10% of its individual chakra to the user. Shadow clones can't be distinguished from the original with Sharingan, Byakugan, Rinnegan or normal Chakra Sensing. The clone itself can also utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows. When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained is passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones.

Coming from Last Bastion

Naruto arrived at the arena, and submitted his name as one of the newest contestant in the arena. It seemed like a good idea since he had never traveled to the arena before and wanted to try his hand at the festivities. As he arrived, he saw a man sitting and from his look he was meditating. Naruto figured it was best to not disturb him and continued to wait until his name was called for his turn to partake in the battles ahead.

As the man entered the arena, Raiden smirked and stood up. The first victim...

Raiden simply sat down on the ground to recover some energy from that match he went through. He was a bit tired but he had Kuma to his side for now.

Health: 200
Chakra: 1560 - 20 = 1540

Renji sees the man that just beat the hell out of a guy who had power beyond belief. Renji steps up and challenges the man.

"Let's fight you shinobi."

Coming from: https://animebase.me/threads/kaizoku-sea-259.757193/page-7#post-22075139

This post encompasses a C-rank mission containing the following storyboard elements:
  • (custom(?)) Choose between what is right and what is easy (2)

“Who the hell suggested this?” Brok compained bitterly, as he gingerly massaged his rump, sore from hours of riding. “We could’ve just gone ‘round in the boat.”

Brok had been grumbling and mumbling ever since Hawke had ordered the Brothers off the ship at the coast near Witchwood Arena. Horses, wagons, sculptures, men, all loaded down from the ship by pulley into a small barge and then ferried to shore. It had taken hours, and all of it just for more hardship as the group made its way across the coastlands of Tobusekai.

Brok knew damn well that nobody had suggested it. It was just his roundabout way of telling Hawke to piss off. Brok had his good moments, however. They were all that stood between him and death.

Well, that and the whole thing about Brotherhood.

Out of his league, Red had said, before him and his living corpse and giant bat flew away on their carpet of debris. The absurdity of that sentence, that whole situation, had stuck with Hawke. As he eyed Brok from the discomfort of his own horse, it did occur to Garrett that traveling with the Brothers could be rather the mundane affair.

Hawke looked up at the sky and knew as surely as he could breathe that he could simply fly away and leave them all behind.

But where was the fun in that?

“Oh shut up, Brok,” Hawke all but laughed at the man, though the steely undertone betrayed his nonchalant façade. “Where the challenge, yeah? Don’t you have a sense of adventure?”

“I got a sense of hunger’s what I got,” Brok only grumbled in protest and Hawke could not help but laugh.

This fuckin’ guy.

“See, Brok, I know you’re only like this ‘cause you’re sober, but we’ll be in Last Bastion soon enough.”

“If you say so, mate,” was all Brok replied, shrugging away the issue. And that was that.

Hawke looked back over his shoulder at the trailing caravan of wagons, each manned by a black-clad Brother, all of whom would laid down their lives for their cargo. A small grin tugged at the edge of his mouth just thinking on it. They were no threat to him, or to any true shinobi for that matter, but they were his men through and through.

“Into the belly of the Shinigami,” Hawke muttered to himself in a quiet toast. They respected strength and that was something Garrett had in spades.

The leader of the brothers looked up at the blue sky and snorted. Indeed, it would be so easy to fly away, but like a pair of leg weights the Brothers tethered him to the ground, and that was in his mind no small service. Hawke valued loyalty to strength because it was a tried and tested method of establishing order. With a few dedicated souls one could make quite a splash in these days.

“Keep it moving, ladies!” Hawke ordered and spurred his horse into a trot. His now truly wolfish grin never faltered. “I feel like doing something inconvenient.”

The world had changed since the fall of the Freehold. Simple truths had become complex, fractured in a way that made Hawke want to pick up pieces for himself. Hiatus had done him good, but as it was for Brok it was for Hawke: He had a sense of hunger.
