With Renji and Rukia coming back into focus, I was hoping to see a bit more of their previously introduced Bankai, which we only got to see once so far....after this chapter though? I'm not so sure. What do you guys think though?

Renji will in no doubt, release it in his fight with Gerard. His pride isn't so sky high that he'd only hope to defeat Gerard using his shikai only.

Why would his bankai be wasted on an underling? As strong as Ywach is supposed to be they'll need all the best fighters and bankai there for him.

Shunsui wasted his bankai on lille, so why not kisuke use his bankai on Valkyrie....
I believe the only one fighting yach will be ichigo and no one else, like its always happened in bleach every single time....
The main villain always fights the main hero (this is what kubo thinks , maybe), & even though he has got no reason to fight, I believe kubo will make them fight the last battle.....

Why would his bankai be wasted on an underling? As strong as Ywach is supposed to be they'll need all the best fighters and bankai there for him.

These underlings are pretty strong and urahara's bankai wouldn't be strong though bcoz all these buildup was also made for shunsuis bankai too and his bankai turned out to be shit so there is no point of keeping hopes for this.

I could see Urahara's bankai being useful. After all, he said that it wasn't "appropriate for training anyone or lending them power". This seems to imply that it isn't a direct "force" type of bankai, which would've pushed Chad to develop further, but is rather more of a defensive rather than an offensive type in contrast to the abilities as he had shown before when his shikai was active.

However, Gerard's ability is about conversion. He converts the damage he had taken into "miracles" to which he can then use in combat, which would also negate any damage he had taken from before because the damage had already been converted into something else. A counter to this ability would be to not inflict him any damage at all obviously. We could take into account on what would count as being "damage" for Gerard in this case.

We saw that Byakuya's Senbonzakura petals would fall into the category of and be classified as damage. Using the introductory of that, it's only logical to assume that any technique that would be considered as life threatening by lacerating a user's body severely or using any type of projectile that would most likely obliterate the body would be converted into a miracle in Gerard's favor. An injury might as well fit that description.

If we twist the definition of the word "damage" for Gerard, we could use his own ability to work against him by manipulating him somehow into his own demise. Conveniently, we have Shinji among their group at the moment who could do such a thing.

Kubo might just go down the classic route of giving Gerard so much damage that his body could no longer be able to handle it, something of that sort. Then, there's the probability that his Vollständig will give him the ability to convert any damage inflicted upon him to increase his Schrift's capabilities besides applying it to his physical size. That would work the same way as well.

Because Kisuke has more hype build up as a character than Shunsui did. Kisuke fought Aizen before Ichigo he may very well fight Ywach before Ichigo as well.

Kyoraku bankai won't bad its just that his opponent was immortal.

It would seem to me that his bankai could beat almost anyone in bleach except all the elite guards, yh and probably haschwalth (this should been shunsuis opponent) it's like an instakill bankai so the only people who wouldn't die are those that are immortal to physical damage. So it's pretty op, it really is a shame that these elite guards just don't die though

Or kubo could just bring back zaraki to do all the cleaning. But then again, lets hope the ones on the battlefield will do something to bring that gaint Valkyrie down........

-Is Grimmjow as fodder as he was back then or did Kubo actually bring him up for him to do something? (second resurrection)
-Utakata's bankai (this one is not possible anymore)
-Hirako's bankai
-Byakuya's new bankai
-Kenpachi's bankai (if he has one) / Kenpachi's shikai without eyepatch
-Urahara's bankai

After all that, i'm gonna start worrying for what you said

After all that, i'm gonna start worrying for what you said

Ukitake is not done yet he will fight again or something...but we will see his bankai.
