Nope. Not equally strong but stronger. Back then the Sannin still weren't fodder. Currently their stronger then back then but since Sakumo was stronger then the Sannin it can be estimated that he's not fodder. Also he was quite feared. The Iwagakure ninja were afraid of Kakashi just because he was Sakumo's son. Being hailed as a great shinobi back then was a huge thing.equally strong to one.
And they were fodders compare to them now.
I assuming you know nothing of the manga.the white fang wasn't traitor nor was he consider one by the leaf.the white fang became hated because he left an important mission to save his comrades which resulted in a major lost for konoha.Being a traitor is something completely different from that.Sakumo didn't change sides or purposely help the enemy.Of course not, Edo Tensei'ng is no longer a viable plot device at this point in the story.
And the most likely fate of Sakumo's body is that it was disposed of because he was a "traitor" that is the reason why Kakashi never once visited his grave in the Konoha cemetery, because there's no body, no grave or memorial for Sakumo there, so no DNA to salvage for his Edo Tensei.
It was still viewed as dishonorable, hence the disposal of his corpse.I assuming you know nothing of the manga.the white fang wasn't traitor nor was he consider one by the leaf.the white fang became hated because he left an important mission to save his comrades which resulted in a major lost for konoha.Being a traitor is something completely different from that.Sakumo didn't change sides or purposely help the enemy.
Rep +. Also minato made that statement in the 3rd shinobi war, the sannin were given their title in the 2nd, they had plenty of time to improve, yet minato still put sakumo hatake above them.Nope.
