Since Madara is an edo tensei created in the war, while Obito is alive and had been affecting events since the ninetails attack on Konoha, I think Obito is really the main villain, not madara

I think he will execute his trump card, yes. However, I am uncertain how long it will last. Madara has already failed to become the ten tails jin. I can't imagine him having a back up plan and it failing that bad again, without it getting somewhere.
