[Discussion] Will Luffy fight Doflamingo on his own? (The official poll, vote now)

The official 'Will Luffy fight Doflamingo on his own?' thread. Take your votes on the poll, and feel free to go into detail of what will happen if you think he won't.

I made this thread to gt a clear view of who thinks Luffy is ready, and who doesn't, so the right can get bragging rights. Everybody has their own 2 cents on the event, so drop them off here.

I highly doubt it. With Sabo returning the same arc Law is bringing up his own brother(maybe father?)figure, I'm sure Luffy will understand his feelings and let him fight Doffy either on his own, or just stay to the side.

Nah, It has to be together. Luffy said that he will kick Doffy's azz so I don't think he will back down, but Law has a grudge against Doffy so he has to play a part in his demise.

Law and Luffy have too much pride to team up though.

Law will probably lose and then Luffy will take on Doffy. In the deciding moment Law will help Luffy out giving Luffy the victory. With Doffy passed out Law will cut Doffy to pieces and Law will find a way to make the situation work in their favor.

The moment Luffy left Pica to Zoro, I knew that Luffy will be THE ONE to fight Doflamengo, most probably on his own.

IMO, if Luffy can't defeat someone of Doflamengo's level, he isn't ready for the NW and shouldn't have went there yet.

First off, nice thread. Good to have an official standing on this.
Secondly, i'm going with the wild card that Sabo will fight him atm.
I mean, where else as he disappeared off to?
Whatever happens it's probably going to be an odd match up against Mingo xD

I find people thinking he will receive help to fight Doflamingo stupid. He always defeated arc villains alone. I don't see why it will change. Those who want Doflamingo to be defeated in 2vs1 should get over it. He struggled to defeat a tired Law and Luffy is at the very least his equal if not stronger

Luffy should be able to defeat Dofla on his own...but, there's a pretty high chance he'll get help from the injured Law because
1) He's injured so it wouldn't be overkill against Dofla
2) Law and Dofla are archenemies, and the last chapter even ended with Law still asking Luffy to let him handle it.

I myself would have preferred Law vs Doflamingo and Luffy vs Diamante at the end of the tournament. That way Law gets to actually defeat his personal foe and we're invested in the fight and it's a nice change from the usual formula of Luffy always fighting the main villain, and Luffy still comes out looking strong because he finally had a difficult fight in the New World and won by himself.

If he can't even defeat Doflamingo alone, the alliance has no hope against Kaido, just saying
