Will Gaara be stronger or weaker without shukaku?

Now that Gaara doesn't have the shukaku, he can't use its chakra reserves. Also, will his sand shield work in the same way as it did before. I believe the sand automatically protecting gaarra was the shukaku protecting the body of its host. But now he doesnt have it.

He will still have his enormous chakra level he used to keep shukaku from taking over...

He will still have his Ultimate Sand Defense as it was his mother whom sealed all her chakra in Gaara to create the sand defense Shukaku had nothing to do with it...

Well, I think he won't have the automatic sand defense anymore (as I believe that was Shukaku's doing)

But I'm fairly certain he'll have a different way of defending that's just as effective, and I'm sure he'll have some good new offensive jutsu as well.

So overall I'd say stronger.

I think, if this discussion was based right after Shukaku was removed, then yes, Gaara would be weaker overall.

But now, he's seen how much the people of Suna cared for him, after the Akatsuki arc, he sees that he has a responsibility as Kazekage to protect those around him, those of his village.
The same way they're prepared to put their lives on the line for him, he's realised he has to return the favour.

In that time, he'll have been training his ass off to be the best he can be. He isn't to be underestimated as a simple pushover. He's grown and matured throughout the Naruto anime as much as any of the other characters. Don't be surprised to see some new skills on his behalf, should things at the summit turn violent.

he wount have his sand automatic defence but the rest will be the same because he mite have alot more chakra withouth the shukaku because he can sleep now and doesnt need to maitain shukaku under control.

As deidara said, he has special sand much stronger than the other sand.

Its obvious if shukaku is making that special sand that without it his defences are compromised.

BUT, he is a kage level ninja, and he is smart, im sure he has compensated any loss by making new jutsus and new things other than sand.

Hes kinda limited using just sand lol.

Gaara used to be my fave character and thought nobody could beat him, until damn genjutsu users started showing up.

I still think gaara is physical attack wise one of the strongest ninja ever, he could own some akatsuki pretty easily.

Gaara was winning against deidara pretty easily and wasnt actually that worn out, it was deidaras giant bomb on the village that wore him out.

Put deidara vs gaara with no possible civilian fatalities and gaara would have had deidaras corpse on the ground within minutes.

i think that he has probably iron sand jutsu now..
thats the strongest sand jutsu we've seen in the series so far.. and gaara couldnt use it.. so its a possible way of gettin stronger for gaara

but if u think of him normally fighting a person, than i dnt think it will be a burden on him. bcuz unlike naruto, HE doesnt get a chakra pump up from his bijuu. ;]

i think he'll be even stronger, because he always fought against shukaku and never really used him. he feared shukaku too much, as naruto does with the kyuubi.

all those ppl who have said he wont have his automatic sand defense anymore are stupid yes Reavn the rings around his eyes your a smart guy. the rings around his eyes were because he was tiered all the time because he couldnt sleep or shukaku would be set free and nut be under his control or sumthing like that but yet he still has them dose this not mean that at least sum part f the shukaku has been entertwiend with his charkra or maybe he still has the beast inside him or a part after all the Sealing Technique: Illusionary Dragon Nine Consuming Seals is a mystery if the host lives. so i think that he has most if not all of his previous powers probaly not the transformations but likley.

but realy this is just all a guess relay none of this is backed up by information so we will just have to wait and see and hope we get to see him in full battel soon enfough

Maybe logically, a whole 18 or so years without sleep, won't take the rings away in such a short period of time.
