We recently have played Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls Online, but neither of these have half of the replay value that Skyrim or even Oblivion had.

Oblivion while lacking in the graphics department had an interesting story, with tons of side quest that made you feel like you have a never ending main story line.

Skyrim lacked a little in the side quest department, the game felt a little flat, but overall the graphics and main story make the game one to behold. The large scale feeling of the lands and the few side quest that were really good, made the game worth playing and have kept this game going strong five years after its release.

Fallout 4 starts off strong, but tends to fall off quickly, and the seemingly large world became small fast, and the overall story was good, but nothing to write home about. The graphics and game play were top tier, even though it had its issues, it's not worth replaying the game over.

Elder Scrolls Online is an MMORPG, so maybe I'm a little bias against the amount of farming that's required to even be relevant in online battles, but the graphics, character design, and voice acting was all top tier. However, the main story ends to quickly, leaving you too low of a level to play the expansions without friends, and most adults work, and have a hard time teaming up with others to play to beat certain levels and completing the add ons.

What will Bethesda do for Elder Scrolls Six? Will they continue to reduce the map size, to increase graphics and reduce the overall content to give us one good story line? If they follow their current trend, I think the next game might flop. I'm sure they will make a lot of money, but seeing as it won't be out until around 2019 - 2020 I hope they put their best efforts forward and make another game that will last 5 years after it has been released.

Lacked in-depth and interesting side quest, like Oblivion had. Skryim had a good amount, just not as many. I said it lacked in the side quest department, not that it lacked side quest.
There are interesting side quests all over Skyrim, more if you have Legendary, and how can we forget the popular ones like the Dark Brotherhood and College of Winterhold.

(Morrowind was the best title)

Oblivion definitely had better side quests than Skyrim, such as the three off the top of my head where you enter a painting, rescue a man from his own nightmare by entering it, and escape a manhunt by a conartist. Then there's the side quest where you accidentally stow away on a pirate ship in the middle of the ocean and must fight the shipmates to leave.

If Bethesda wants Elder Scrolls Six to be greater than the other titles, then they need to do several things:

1. Actually make a new engine to go with the new game. Fallout 4 had issues due to reusing the Skyrim engine.
2. Stop adapting the environment to real life. I want to fight fantastic creatures and use fantastic items, not fight wolves and bears, and eat oranges and pumpkins.
3. Stop removing gameplay content. I remember in Morrowind where you could use spears and throwing items. I remember in Daggerfall where you didn't have to pick locks and could just break the ****ing door down. I remember in Daggerfall where you could climb instead of cheesing the jumps on mountains to get to your destination a little faster.
4. Don't have instant fast travel, give the player a compass, and force them to explore the world. You can still have carriages, siltstriders, etc., but you should no longer be able to fast travel in the middle of Boofu Egypt. Do not give players quest markers to show them exactly where you need to go. It absolutely ruins the immersion of the world and creates this sort of impatience associated with speedrunning.

Yeah, and Oblivion had the Mages Guild and a better Dark Brotherhood quest line, the point was Oblivion was just better in this aspect.

Bethesda is best for big games. Skyrim was as glitchy and beta-y as Fallout 3, NV, and 4, but because it was gigantic, you could work your way around the bugs and get immersed in the game. When they make smaller games, you're more confronted with the issues of their meh engine and bad scripting.

Personally, I consider every Bethesda game a failure as far as quality control goes. An Elder Scrolls VI will probably be the same, because Bethesda has never released a game that wasn't significantly buggy. But as long as it's gigantic, people will forgive them, so...

4. Don't have instant fast travel
I strongly disagree with this, considering how often Bethesda's quest design consists of going between Points A and B more than once. xD If I had to go back to every quest hub by foot in Skyrim, after completing a radiant Thieves' Guild quest or something, I would have dropped that game hard.

I didn't really find any game super glitchy except ESO. Maybe you just have a better eye for these things, or have a run of bad luck with these games.

Every game has had a couple of quests that glitch out, and they're persistent glitches that many people encounter. One of Skyrim's was a radiant quest that would stay in your journal forever; there was another one regarding the Thalmor Prison where the script breaks regarding saving one of Whiterun's families' family members or something. Dragon corpses will sometimes fail to despawn from villages, and will be there forever.

Another annoying thing in Skyrim was that transformations sometimes broke; e.g. you could get stuck in Werewolf form or be stuck invisible. :|

Fallout 4 had optimization issues, Covenant and its associated questlines outright break for no reason (persistent glitch for all users, don't know if it was ever patched out) if you don't complete the quest for that town before completing the main story quest. I haven't encountered this issue myself, but I've heard that the Minutemen questline can glitch out and some people aren't able to get to the Institute if they ally with the Minutemen. NV had similar scripting errors for certain quests, since they were juggling so many factions. Fallout 3's early builds were optimized pretty badly (you'd get frame skipping regardless of the strength of your PC). It's been quite a while though, so I can't remember specific issues that I ran into.

In all of their games, it's fully possible to get stuck in world geometry and be frozen in a falling position.

God I love Skyrim; especially on PC. I've played so many amazing mods on it and they just keep making more! It's the gift that never stops giving.

I love Fallout as well, but the next installment really needs some fresh material. I wanna see that series so something different.

I want them to use more than three elements in magic. I want them to add the ESO magic, Skryim, Oblivion, and then some.

I can see the elder scrolls legends failing. It's basically magic the gathering but different creatures. Now if they remastered skyrim for ps4 and Xbox 1 that would be great!
