Seriously one-sided contest...

Nagato might had annihilated the whole Leaf village but it doesn't even come close to a child forced into murdering his whole clan.
Nagato wasn't related to Leaf and invaded as an enemy, whereas Itachi, an Uchiha slaughtered his whole family, relatives and friends.

Even the killing of rebelous Uchiha isn't justifiable, let alone murdering those who had nothing to do with it and were treated as collateral damage.
