There are injustices served on the daily everywhere on earth! why wait on the media to tell you when you want to be mad and get angry about something?? All of these people acting appalled at the outcome of this Trayvon martin jury, when shit like this has been going on since this countries been founded. most people showin anger on social media are really displaying weakness.

“The media's the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses.”

Its because its such a controversial topic
Read the malcom x Quote. IF what you said justifies what's going on, logically the world would be in turmoil, because this stuff happens every single day, on every part of the world. IT's only a topic of conversation because the media chooses to make it one. my point is, IT's sad that people have to wait on cue's to chose to react in a certain way, shows how programmed people can be.

The ignorance my people show sometimes make me really makes me wonder. But for us to see change we must first change ourselves and we never will achieve true change or progress. George Zimmerman true judgement will come to pass when he goes to those pearly gates God will have final judgement. The best thing we can do as a race is stop killing each other and fighting each other and come together to fight these injustices.

I just read the stuff that went on with Martin and Zimmermen and whatnot, and I knew someone was gonna make a thread about it lol. Anyway, I agree with you.

people can only react to what they know and can only react based on what they know. before people know something they can't really get angry at it right?

one way to get through media liying to us or only showing stuff that support someone's agenda is to read a story from many diffrent sites. i read both CNN.com and aljazeera.com every day. it's not 100% true but it gives you a diffrent perspective.

I see your point
But the fact that there's so much built on this trial makes it different but if it happens in other parts of the world then America wouldn't worry about that
Something like this does not happen often in america so people make it controversial

Shit happens. To people of all races, not just black. Stop trying to make everything about us -_-
Not talking to you in particular though
this has nothing to do with one race, this is for people in general. Because it's not just black people complaining about it.

Why not post this in other threads instead of making another thread for the hot topic of the week, you donut.
Why not post something relevant for once, instead of making ad hominem remarks for attention and absolutely no reason?

I feel like this trial took on a significance way beyond what it really is, and came to symbolize all that is racial tension in the United States. People need to keep in mind that racial factors were present in the actual crime, but not the courtroom verdict. It was about the trickyness of the case, it's hard to give 1st degree murder in this murky of a case. I would implore people to please focus on the nature of the court system and why he got let off. And if you want to change it, start now. It's a democracy, you know

True but if you look there are many other crimes going on around the US, in places like florida, a lady got 20 years of prison time for shooting a gun in the air, wheres the threat of riot for that? There are plenty of people on death row who don't deserve to be there, and plenty people who are killers that walk freely in this country, regardless of color. Don't see any uproar for that.
