Why ever get married at all? There is no real world need for such a title. If your girlfriend gets pregnant (as mine is) you still have to take responsibility for the child. Even if all you do is pay child support (which many formerly married people do, anyway) it's still on you to be a parent. In America (and I suspect many other countries), if you have a child and don't support it, they put you in jail. There is an entire probate system just for this. Truth is, anything a married couple can do, a non-married couple can do. All marriage does is add a great expense to breaking a couple up. My girlfriend and I live together and are partners in every way conceivable.

And especially marrying the first person you have feelings for is a bad idea. Romantic feelings develop much faster than the ability to make sense of them. It may happen that you have a great relationship, but the odds are against you. As with all things, romance gets better with experience.

In our "western" culture,most of the times marriage is a huge leap from a relationship,because otherwise the couple may take divorce.
