Honestly I think you're putting more effort and thought into this than the actual studio.

Clearly the crew they commission to do the opening had this weird thing called artistic vision & unlike the rest of the team wanted to create something effective and interesting to tie into the message and imagery of their opening.

The actual content of the episodes doesn't keep up though, this has happened before, like that time they showed good fight action from 5 Kage VS Madara when that fight is static as f*ck.
