what? Minato killed himself. he could have killed the kyuubi (like kushina suggested) but decided to seal it away. Why he decided to tank kyuubi's claw instead of FtG, it's because kishi wanted him dead. Why he decided to use RDS to ensure he dies, is because kishi wanted him dead. Therefore, he never lost to anyone. He killed himself because kishi knew that the manga could never progress if he was still alive. He was the only one in konoha who could defeat Orochimaru (as said by hiruzen). If minato were alive, Oro would never invade. Sasuke would never get CS. Hiruzen would never die. For that matter, Jiraiya would still be alive as he'd have backup from minato. Obito's plans would never reach that far since sasuke would still be good and orochimaru would still be alive, therefore kabuto would not be part oro to do ET, meaning obito would never have what's necessary to summon gedo masu. In the end, If minato were alive, Naruto would have no reason to want acknowledgement since he'd be acknowledged by the entire village, and we'd just be watching a show about a kid being loved by his father. The show would die.well ,in case of Minato who was the featless character to whom he lost?
Since Kishi knew he had no character who could defeat a guy who he gave the ability to teleport home in an instant, and reflexes fast enough to react to the fastest shinobi alive, and skills to wipe out 50 ninja in a few seconds without getting hit, he had to get rid of minato some way or the
Minato wasn't getting through the Third Raikage's armor, he doesn't have anything in his arsenal to penetrate the guy who defended his village for three days and nights against hundreds of shinobi.
Minato can't fly so he'd be at a disadvantage plus it would take him forever to brake through rock armor. Plus Oohnoki was younger then and much faster and stronger.
Magnetic release would've attracted the kunai(s). Gold Sand would've trapped him on the ground since he can't fly.
Minato would run out of seals as well as kunai. His Rasengan was incomplete. He nearly died when he tried to kill Bee.
The Kages themselves had nothing to worry about because they could take him out. Now their shinobi, not so much.
None of that explains how they can take him out.
3rd is slower than Ay, and Ay couldn't hit him. 3rd has no chance. Minato Drops a marking on him, then Ftg's to him and instntly does a 5 element seal. Right there 3rd can no longer use his Raiton armor properly and his super defence and attack, and speed is shot to shit.
Minato doesn't need to be able to fly. Toads can jump very high and very far. A simple toad jump is enough to get minato within kunai throwing range. The speed with which he throws kunai is extremely high (his kunai moved further than V2 ay could move in a second) and he'd tag oonoki. Ftg avoids jinton. Ftg Barrier sends it away. Toad water bullets keep oonoki flying around and at bay while gamabunta jumps all around. Even if gamabunta gets into a bind, minato can FTG gamabunta away (like he did with the kyuubi). Oonoki has max 5 jinton or so before he's too exhausted to jinton again - the jutsu takes massive chakra. With him wasting jinton trying to hit minato, and with minato easily closing the distance, oonoki wouldn't stand a chance. Flying isn't everything or else Oonoki and gaara would be gods; They'd lose to no one since they're one of the select few ninja that can fly, but that's not true. By that logic, Even sai should be some sort of S class ninja because you assume 'Flying out of range' is all it takes to defeat a Kage level shinobi... Please.
No idea what your third point is going on about. what would attracting kunai do? The idiot just brought the kunai closer to him. Moving kunai doesn't stop FtG, you just moved it away from it's intended target. Minato can still use FtG. And, Gamabunta. Minato isn't trapped on the ground, not even near.
How would he run out of seals? He taps things to make seals. Lolwut? His rasengan was perfected. It was 'incomplete' to the sense that it didn't have nature release implemented (which was the purpose of creating it). Rasengan on it's own is still a very powerful A rank technique capable of causing severe damage to any ninja who doesn't have some sort of armor. Any one taking a rasengan (without reducing the damage somehow) is going down for the count. Example, kabuto could hardly stand after taking a brand new, barely perfected base rasengan; And that's after healing. And, no, he didn't 'nearly' die to bee. That's just stupid. Nearly dying would be if bee attempted to lunge that sword into him and it hit. Minato would have simply Ftg'd away in that situation if he had IC. The fact is, minato's never been hit throughout the entire manga - excluding that plot moment with kurama
The kage had every right to worry. Minato was kage level. They risked dying just as much as he did if they fought him. Hiruzen was still a kage level shinobi of konoha. Any kage moron enough to go risk severe injury against minato would leave their village crippled since konoha's 3 sannin, and hokage hiruzen could all come walking in and take over with the village's strongest ninja gone.
Stop underestimating minato. He was still kage level. All these nonsense posts about 'xx could easily take out minato so they weren't scared' is equivalent to saying 'Oonoki could easily take out 3rd raikage, so why didn't he? he could've walked in the village and jinton'd him while in the air'
