why was nagato in six different bodies.

The SO6P (Sage of six paths) were really strong and he was himself (not parted)

Nagato was so weak (the one in the machine)

why did he seperate the six paths into six bodies instead of keeping them inside of himself. He would be much more badass??

1.Just as said above, when he summoned the Gedo Statue he was weakened, and also those chakra rods remained.
2.If you remember he has his lower body burnt and so he is not able to move. So as powerful as the rinnegan might be, if you can't move, you're a sitting duck.

No no Nagato isn't weak (God he can control 6 bodies at the same time)

But what I was saying is that the Nagato that controls the bodies is not in a condition to fight. Like the other said: "he is a sitting duck"

Negato wasnt split into six bodies he has one body and his chakra was distributed between six reanimated corpses via his chakra transmiters. I think he was just contoling them like Itachi and Kisame, controled their clones that he made with his Shapeshifting Immatation Juitsu. The Juitsu would account for each path having a rinningan,and being able to use Negatos juitsu. Hes not weak because hes limited in his physical mobility. His six paths of pain more than compensate to do what he cant do himself. He wrecked Jirya, took out Kakashi and sucked the souls of a grip of people in the leaf from inside a paper tree. He was pretty smart to attack and have his paths/puppets do his work for him while he was safe some where elese.

Yeah. That is correct. Also, why would you say he's weak (not you DarkPhoenix)? Nagato is strong, but yeah he probably would be way more powerful if he just fused the SO6P inside his own body. But I think he did it for respect for Yakiko, knowing the closest Path was the 1st one and Yahiko was his best friend. ​

yep, his real body is crippled but his chakra and jutsu are still rediculously powerful so much so he controls entire other bodies like puppets with his chakra from far away, besides with the 6 having shared vision thats actually alot better then fighting with all 6 powers in one since they can make combos with the jutsu, attack from other angles and if one body gets killed then he still has 5 others (one that can repair the others) which one person couldn't do even with rinnegan
