"An eye for an eye makes the world go blind"

There true power revolves around taking the eyes of those close to them...

Also the curse of the uchiha is revenge as you can see through the series, this curse will destroy the world unless they all die in my eyes...

Only made this thread because i love that quote and felt like relating it to the manga:|

Interesting thread, but be careful your going to have some smart ass trying to correct you, you wrote clones instead of close.

Kahlil Gibran said this quote. You should google him up and check his work.
Anyways this was moved to Naruto Discussion cause it's just discussing (O_O).

And I think the Uchihas are right to seek revenge. Apart from Sasuke ^^

Ok ill search him up

As for the uchihas, as kakashi said "Once you get your revenge your left with nothing"

So revenge means nothing, it makes you feel better for a day or so, but it breeds more suffering

I disagree. It leaves you with the awesome feeling of having pwned the people who hurt you in the past. It's all about balance.

If you see it from Sasuke's point of view, you have to admit he's being a little, just a little, right. Konoha is the reason why he lost family, friends, bonds, life, pride, honor, everything. How would any of us feel if we were forced to kill our parents for our country's sake?
I think he is right to be going for revenge, but he lost his sanity along the way.

He killed his own brother, he left the village and all his friends and still rejects naruto.

Even when he killed his brother, look what it left him with, more pain and suffering...

Its the uchihas fault for planning the coup detait (cant spell it) itachi told the village elders and they had to do what they could to protect the most they could.

Look at madara, he didnt have to challenge the first hokage but he did, then that left concerns with the hokage and elders about what the rest of the uchihas would do.

Its uchiha who keep/created the chain of hate...

sasuke could of forgotten his revenge, been happy with naruto and co but he didnt he chose revenge and look how much pain and suffering he caused himself...

would you kneel in front of sb who you regard as equal just because he has more political power? i wouldnt, i would treat him with respect and expect that he does so too.
the senjus could have shared their political power with the uchihas, but instead decided to surpress and supervise them. madara was just the one who foresaw this development.

the coup d' ?tat was planned because the uchihas were isolated, they were deported to their own ghetto and obviously were being surpressed. it was nothing more than a rebellion against surpression.

what choice had sasuke ever have? he tried to kill the one who stole him his life and sacrificed his own personal good for that. apart from that who could have been sure that itachi doesnt come back and destroys again everything sasuke has?

the second choice is the only free sasuke ever had, but he chose the way of truth instead of coming home knowing that the ones being responsible for his family's death give him orders. sadly he lost his sanity by overusing susano'o.

Well the Uchiha clan and the Senju clan are like Montegue and Capulet. Water and oil. They never mix naturally and because of their long going rivalry the Uchiha's will never forgive the Senju or the rest of Konoha.
The Senju did so much to annoy the Uchiha's e.g putting them in a small area away from everyone else after the nine tail incident. They have been constantly convicted and framed for crimes that the whole clan didn't do, just Madara (obviously Konoha didn't know).
And now Madara is putting all that hatred and conviction, along with Saskue's own personal experiences on his shoulders. Saskue is too far in the darkness now, and Madara is just evil simple as. Now when we talk about the clan in this matter of time yes, it is pretty f'ed up.

Oh well, i stand by the decision by the uchihas brought it upon themselves but tbh, the only side of the story we have heard about them has come from an uchiha so its bound to be biased

You would make another choice? I don't think any one would.

The problem with Sasuke isn't that he's going for revenge. The problem with him is that he's plain stupid.
Whatever someone says to him he believes it.
He believed that his loving brother just one day woke up and decided to massacre the whole clan just to get power and then be a runaway ninja.
He had to reach the age of 13-14 to realize that Itachi couldn't have been alone doing this and this is a simple thought that a 6 y.o. who's training to become a shinobi can do, right?
Then what? He believes everything that Madara tells him and starts planning on attacking Konoha. Alone with 3 comrades, while he knows that Konoha has a Hokage who's a Legendary Ninja and people who would die to defend it. Let's be realistic, he can't do this alone with his current comrades and more than anything else he shouldn't have believed what Madara told him so easily. For the love of God, search first and then believe. He should have understood this lesson, by spending his lifetime hating a brother who ended up dying to protect him. Just search for the truth and then act!
And then what? He goes to capture Kirabi who's never harmed him, laying his loyalty to Madara's feet although Itachi did whatever he could to stop Sasuke from talking to Madara; this should be a second alarm there.
And the story continues...he believes Danzo too, a man known to everyone that he's a traitor and a sick bastard.
If you see it from this point of view, Sasuke's problem is his stupidity and impulsiveness not his pain.

but it doesn't matter really :p

The bolded bits made me laugh, but i guess he is just stupid, yet his main goal is still revenge for itachi who he killed himself (well not killed really he died of illness in my eyes) But i still believe all uchiha are cursed with the trait of hatred, just think if they werre all dead how nice it would be:rolleyes:

Just kidding, but i guess the uchiha have played a good part in bringing peace to the world, if madara had never made the akatsuki and the whole crap with sasuke there wouldnt be the 5 nation alliance....

Hmmm i shall return later, im going to ponder xd

of course we have only heard madara's version since konoha still plays its political role as being innocent. maybe sasuke really would give up his hatred if konoha gave him the two elders and say: sry, what happened at that time was terrible, but we cant turn back the clock. who could say how sasuke would react on that?

i dont say that uchihas always did the right thing, i'd never had settled in the same city as the senjus especially after they got the title of the hokage. i just say that it was understandable (at least madaras version with the add of the fourth) and often i would have done the same thing, and the root of this chain of hatred was the decision of the hokage as the sole leader instead of creating something like that for madara too.
