He killed his own brother, he left the village and all his friends and still rejects naruto.
Even when he killed his brother, look what it left him with, more pain and suffering...
Its the uchihas fault for planning the coup detait (cant spell it) itachi told the village elders and they had to do what they could to protect the most they could.
Look at madara, he didnt have to challenge the first hokage but he did, then that left concerns with the hokage and elders about what the rest of the uchihas would do.
Its uchiha who keep/created the chain of hate...
sasuke could of forgotten his revenge, been happy with naruto and co but he didnt he chose revenge and look how much pain and suffering he caused himself...
You would make another choice? I don't think any one would.
The problem with Sasuke isn't that he's going for revenge. The problem with him is that he's plain stupid.
Whatever someone says to him he believes it.
He believed that his loving brother just one day woke up and decided to massacre the whole clan just to get power and then be a runaway ninja.
He had to reach the age of 13-14 to realize that Itachi couldn't have been alone doing this and this is a simple thought that a 6 y.o. who's training to become a shinobi can do, right?
Then what? He believes everything that Madara tells him and starts planning on attacking Konoha. Alone with 3 comrades, while he knows that Konoha has a Hokage who's a Legendary Ninja and people who would die to defend it. Let's be realistic, he can't do this alone with his current comrades and more than anything else he shouldn't have believed what Madara told him so easily. For the love of God, search first and then believe. He should have understood this lesson, by spending his lifetime hating a brother who ended up dying to protect him. Just search for the truth and then act!
And then what? He goes to capture Kirabi who's never harmed him, laying his loyalty to Madara's feet although Itachi did whatever he could to stop Sasuke from talking to Madara; this should be a second alarm there.
And the story continues...he believes Danzo too, a man known to everyone that he's a traitor and a sick bastard.
If you see it from this point of view, Sasuke's problem is his stupidity and impulsiveness not his pain.
I always thought it was Mahatma Gandhi who said it <O_O>
