Ignore them, they are just some random no life kids.
And okami, remind me which revelant character ever died in one piece, apart from ace and wb? And last time I checked ace dying had no plot advancement in a long term, thought finally this 18 years goof luffy will grow up and become more serious but nooo...To me ace's death was bs just like neji's,but they both showed the true nature of war beautifully though. And look at wb,the hell did this guy do except killing some fodders?nothing.

Now let's see naruto. This guy is only 16 but is a lot mature in every damn expect. He made jiraya's death meaningful. People in this war have died, and that to revelant ones, just some blind haters can't see that.

I honestly don't know besides Gara , why in the hell are the kages still alive ? ......... I thought it was suppose to have a meaning or something ...but they can't fight anymore . Their deaths back with Madara would have been great .

Edit : Well said numbers @

Oh and fun fact...despite all the chaos, meteors, PS, Rinnegan, etc etc etc...Madara still hasn't killed no one relevant...

Kishi has a problem of doing quantity over quality.

Look at Oda and One piece.

Though Oda rarely kills off a character from the current timeline but when he does it's impactful and drives the story.

But with Kishi he kills off so many characters that don't have a significant role to be impactful and therefore not a meaningful death.

That's why K11 deaths are needed hell even a Kage or two should bite a bullet.

That's why the death of someone like Neji won't have that much of an impact on the story. However, it's a big risk for Kishimoto to kill someone that's actually significant because of the danger of ratings and popularity. Say for example he decided to kill off Sasuke, imagine the impact that would have on the story... Massive, it will affect nearly every single Naruto fan opinion but there's the huge risk and it's very likely that the ratings will PLUMMET. That's why Kishimoto doesn't kill off anyone majorly important because it could bring Naruto down to rock bottom

People just want to feel like the manga is more "alive" so to speak. If we feel that nobody is safe from death (even though it is a plot driven story), then the danger of the fights seems more real.

This is why Naruto and Sasuke "dying" was good for the manga. Neji's death was a miss in my book though, too random and not enough emotional build-up.
