And there are people who hurt others for the sake of science and its not for you or me or anyone to say what they can or cant believe in its up to individuals so people like you and i include religious people as well who say that they have to obey or they are part of the problem its people like you who say that are the problem i might be religious but i also believe in science

the only source of your religion is a book. a book with so many proven wrong facts and errors, not to mention translation as well as intepretation mistakes. a book which says its ok to hurt your wife. a book which says its a sin to have *** before marriag, to be gay or all the other stuff. how could you possibly support a religion which preaches that? if you do believe in science (which isnt about believing anyways but about knowing but whatever) youre not a cristian. its your ego. your pride or your upbringing, or maybe even your simple narrow mind which doesnt let you let go of this.

You are supporting your argument by using a very small example that only affects a couple thousand people, the biology class argument. Incredibly hypocritical since you're forcing your belief into other people, criticising them for being religious while you yourself are a rational human being, clearly above them. I know what you're gonna say, "but one thing is the truth, the other is just fiction"...and yeah, I agree. But that's not the point. What I am saying is that you cannot force your belief down another person's throat like you are doing now. Aside from the fact that it makes you look like a complete douchebag, do you REALLY think this is the right way into convincing someone to look past their religious beliefs and into the more scientific side of things? By taking a dump on the way they live and see the world around them? F*ck no, that's beyond stupid.
Religion has indeed started conflicts, and many horible things were done in the name of a God or gods. But since then it has become part of our society. You know we can't change what happened, only what will happen. You cannot force people out of religion, the best you can do is try and convince them to not let religion define their judgement on things such as gay marriage, for example. However, if you try and destroy the pillar of society that is religion, nothing good will come of it.

But humans don't know everything there is to know. How did Earth get here? Who knows. I mean didn't humans used to believe the Earth was flat? There are so many new things to discover. It's not impossible for Earth to exist without a creator. It's just we we haven't seen the way a planet comes into existence.

I use to believe in God and all that Catholic stuff, but as time went by and things got really hard for me at some points in my life I tried praying and putting my faith in God and nothing happened. Maybe its just bad luck for me, but I respect the religions that people believe in
