As an atheist the only reason I see for believing in God is because you don't want to believe there is no life after death. But if you're fine with the concept of dying and that's that, you don't have a reason to believe.
One could argue that you could be part of a religion so you could live life the right way and stuff like that, but to me you can choose how to live life on your own. You don't need anything to tell you how to be a good person except yourself and common sense.
When I talk about it with people I only accept believing in life after death as the main reason for believing in God. Anything like "To do the right thing" or "To always have someone to guide me" like no. Do the right thing because you're normal; use mentors who are actually in your life to guide you
