The idea that power structures and hierarchies is somehow more important than the plot itself is laughable. Sasuke will lose his fight to Naruto and it is of no fault to his character or his abilities. The plot simply demands that outcome.

He is one of the main characters just not the lead one.

Yeah but the main main one is naruto, they can't accept that fact.

Because people want someone they can relate to, which is naruto..a loser and not sucessful,

If sasuke was in the tittle name, then people will feel down as sasuke is far superior and more cool than people are so they wouldn't want to watch naruto.

It's basic Shonen manga.

It's kind of obvious at this point that Sasuke is like the Vegeta of Naruto and he will be second strongest compared to Naruto.Fanboys will try to claim Sasuke can beat Naruto if he gets a powerup, but the difference of power between Naruto and Sasuke is already too huge for any powerup to help Sasuke.

Naruto has a slew highly damaging attacks and he has one of the smartest beings at his side while Sasuke at this point has not shown anything that can counter Naruto's arsenal.Even if Sasuke gets Perfect Susanoo or some other powerup how is he going to contend with Naruto's speed in BM or the fact that his attacks would not get through the chakra cloak?Naruto will outclass Sasuke once he gets the Yin half of Kurama's chakra just like how Goku outclassed Vegeta when he attained Super Saiyan 3,however before fanboys get on my case I would like to say I'm a fan of both Naruto and Sasuke.

Also there is nothing wrong with Sasuke being second strongest and Naruto being more powerful than him because that's how it goes sometimes,Goku was stronger than Vegeta because he worked hard even though he was weak in the beginning just like how Naruto was talentless and trained everyday to get better.

Anyway try not to fight and realize both characters are awesome and are strong.

You're right plus Kishi got his inspiration from DBZ. And Sasuke and Naruto foreshadow Hashirama and Madara Hashirama was always stronger. Sasuke is going to get a power up no doubt he might even be the 3rd strongest ninja in history but he won't be better than Naruto.(Naruto is the 2nd strongest and even though he's going to die soon Obito is the 1st)

Not every main character is the strongest in the end,for example Ichigo from Bleach gets his ass kicked by characters who are way stronger than him like Juha Bach.

Ichigo definitely will be strongest in the end, up till now he was using a fraction of his power.

your being biased,

sasuke is one of the main characters just as much as naruto.

Kishi always portrayed sasuke as the superior one of them both, It will end with sasuke always being superior.

Shonen manga does this a lot with rivals. makes the show more interesting.

Sorry to say but in the end, Sasuke > naruto.

Go on, name one. That doesn't happen 90% of the time. In fact Kishi has been fair because he has portrayed Sasuke as the stronger one for a large part of the manga. There are themes and lessons riding on this final battle, if Naruto loses, the wrong themes are portrayed like revenge being the way to go or trying to achieve peace by force is right.

Well Vegeta & Sasuke both have some personality traits,both are arrogant,both were bad guys turned though in Sasuke's case he went from good to bad then back to good,they are very prideful of their people.It's not hard to see the simliarities between Sasuke and Vegeta.
