Why Sarada or Mitsuki aren't the main 'rivals' of Boruto

As we all know it's gonna be Kawaki so I wanna put a little theory for why he is chosen over Sarada and Mitsuki by writers.

The reason for none of Boruto's team mates being his main rivals is could be because they wanna change the whole course of series by swapping roles like in every manga Rival is stated as stronger character but by the end Protagonist become stronger than him but in here they wanna do opposite let me explain it through some theories.

Kawaki could be shown as a guy who doesn't have parents and is weak compared to Boruto and after staying with Kawaki they could show Boruto realising how hard the life for his father was and it would be the best character development other thing is that they could make a story where the rival is good but because of the main protagonists continuous bad doing he change.Let me explain with a story.

Boruto turns bad because of influence of Kara and leave village, Kawaki on the other try to get info to get him out of there but can't and Boruto attacks village but end up returning after some talk given to him by Naruto but he end up beating Kawaki in that attack or destroy something important to him and after that Kawaki realize that he also have Kara curse seal and end up going there and at the end he finally come to kill Boruto or take his revenge maybe that's why Boruto said 'to think you would become this strong' .

It's just my imagination but it makes good sense to me they tried to make Boruto opposite to Naruto and this could be perfect if they change rival's behaviour too.

You can only have a rival if you share the same goals, or you want something the other possesses. You compete with and push yourself for that purpose a rivalry can't exist without it.

Boruto wants to ride the tail coats of Sasuke because he thinks it's cool(pathetic reason), he wants to become Sasuke V2 and that's what they're making him into. Nobody else wants to do that if somebody challenges him for Sasuke's attention then he'll have a rival, that may be Kawaki or nobody. Even then who says there's room for 1 Sasuke(sasukage) so there's a possibility Boruto will never really have a rival. Clone(Boruto) is also the king of ass pull and handouts in the new series, you cant really rival that.

A rivalry can't exist because Mitsuki breathes, sleeps drinks and would eat Boruto if he could. So we know what's going to happen there, Mitsuki will support him while they go and do their business. The rivalry doesn't exist because the conditions aren't being met.

Sarada's goal is to become Hokage which doesn't match Boruto's goal so there can't be a rivalry there either.

Why Sarada and Mitsuki is not a rival to Boruto? Simple! Sarada is a side chick that Boruto will use to make babies with. Mitsuki is his servant who will serve him tea every morning. None of these two characters have anything about them that stands out above Boruto.

Sarada and Mitsuki will get sidelined to Sakura level. Boruto and Kawaki are going to take the most spotlight obviously.
