Hmm? Poor Sakura
Keep in mind, this is NOT A CHARACTER BASHING
But right after that, when she tried to take out Sasuke, alone, she tried it with only a poisoned kunai? Really? Where was this "hidden power"? Why didn't she use it that time?
I don’t think its pretty hard to understand, all this time Sakura has been storing chakra reserves, this is similar to Tsuande’s “genesis rebirth” technique in which a infinite amount of chakra is stored in the forehead and is released in a burst to become invincible.
So far Only Tsunade has mastered this technique and she mentioned earlier in the war, that no Medical Ninja is allowed to enter battle and fight without mastering this technique. So it only makes sense that Sakura over a long stretch of time has finally stored enough Chakra to master this technique.
Therefore to answer your question, she didn’t use it against Sasuke earlier because she didn’t master it yet, even now in the latest chapter she mentions to Naruto that she is almost there with her Chakra reserves.
I liked your theory. So since Team Kakashi returned from that mission where they found Sasuke for the first time, and Naruto started his training to create the new rasengan variation, Sakura could be training too in this new form?? Storing chackra for a long period of time... Seems plausible. + rep
It is the only plausible explanation, it is unlikely there is another. Tsunade has mentioned that no Medical Ninja will go into battle unless they've mastered this technique and Sakura is now going into battle, so I'll take that as confirmation that she has finally mastered it.
