Filler is non cannon, it doesn't get simpler than this and any fight coordinated with the manga is cannon. Like for example the Kakashi vs Obito was obviously done much better in the anime because the choreography was on point and the sound effects were great. The Obito flashback fillers were irrelevant so most people ignored them. It seems you don't know the difference between the cannon part of the anime and the filler part otherwise you would't bring this one up same for the Madara vs SA fight. These fillers also created some plotholes to the original manga. Where were the people shown to worship Kaguya instead she put them in the IT? SP takes out majority of the info established as cannon and chucks them out. This is mainly why it is filler. It simply doesn't fit.


Fanservice through repeated anime fillers ruined Hinata's reputation among her fans. It's only the breast lovers which still cling on to her side as she is very irrelevant to the plot.

In other words, Kishi is human, and so are other content creators, and in many cases they care the most about popularity and sales (which is, by the way, completely normal). Besides, Kishi still "approves" any official licensed Naruto-related stuff since he holds the copyright and all that.

Kishi didn't bother spending time involving Kakashi as an ANBU or Itachi backstory but knowing he doesn't have much time to cover up in the manga, he probably relied on the anime to do the work which gives the opportunity to flesh out the story which could be possible scenario but it all comes down to the fans whether they believe it or not.

Naruto manga ended off at VERY short note, yet we had no idea what happening during after War arc but we managed to grasp and get full intel if it had not been the Hiden novels and Naruto the Last to fill in all the gap happening between chapter 699-700.

I believe the fillers arn't over yet, and there could be more room left to be explain, she might have casted infinite tsukoymi in certain areas or maybe there are more people . Filler does more damage to the continuity of Naruto than it does good. It can be more entertaining than canon sometimes, I'll give it that, but filler comes with a lot of plotholes and inconsistency that ruins the overall story. Most of Naruto filler is garbage anyway, with a few rare gems like the Itachi arc filler.
