Regardless, he knew that the village was nothing without its people. That he respected and he would save those in need. What he did mean was that every shinobi was expandable and should die in battle.

He cared about Konoha as a political entity but would easily kill everyone in it if he could replace them with other Shinobi loyal to his cause. If everyone was dead( including the 4 other nations) besides only the root members, he'd probably be fine with that.

He was always portrayed as a man willing to sacrifice everything for the better of Konoha. He was like Madara, he does care about the world but only a world that he fully controls as he see fits.

it was showned how and why orochimaru became evil.

it all started with losing his parents at a young age that corrupted him, and then again watching others around him die and suffer so he went down the dark path to trying to save people but instead became consumed

His first inspiration I suppose was when his parents were killed and he was left alone, followed by Tsunade's brother dying and he hating the carnage of innocents.

However, this turned to self pity, similar to Madara and he began to fear for his own death and being forgotten and never learning the truth behind the meaning of life.

Seeing Itachi's sharingan was probably his final twist, when he began to thirst for power.

Malace also refers to revenge rather than just sadism or pure wickedness like you are implying and I already stated his parents' deaths influenced him when he was a child, among other things. He pitied the rain children, cared about Nawaki, mourned his death and hated the carnage around him.

He didn't pity the rain children, he thought they should put them out of their misery. He thought they would be better off dead. Danzo didn't turn him he enabled him for his own purposes. Who do you think gave Danzo Hashi's cells and put all of those Uchiha eyes on his arm?

Oro was already experimenting on children and kidnapping others by the time Minato was made Hokage. He was evil by that point already. Not becoming hokage just cemented his hatred for Hiruzen.

One way or another, that is pity. He didn't want to see them suffer or die horrible deaths by starvation or bandits.

Danzou placed those eyes on his arm himself after the village was massacred and he went and gathered them. Orochimaru had nothing to do with it and would have only taken them for himself since he coveted them. Stop acting like you know what you're talking about.
