Well that's the first thing what comes to mind when someone mention Sanji am I wrong? That's Sanji's personality and that's one of reasons people like him.

Dude exactly trash-talking thug cook was much better. Plus he pretty much turned him into a man-dog in that scan. Oda needs to simply progress with their characters (i'm talking personality wise) and not simply rehash the same old comedic things over and over, to the point where they start defining the character.

I feel that Ussop/chopper/nami/Robin are a bit worst. Boy seems to be getting more and more "Scared" as the arcs go. And then on the other hand Chopper... does he even have any sort of progression? Nami and Robin just seem to have fallen into the fan-service department now.


But i agree on Sanji as well, to be honest it really doesn't feel like they've grown at all.

Character development is by no means taking away the negative trades of a character. Oda and pretty much most of the WSJ authors still have the silly idea that plain pervert acts= comedy, which far from the truth or at least it shouldn't be funny, especially when you have been using this shit since ages.

I want you to bring sanji from east blue or any early point in the series and compare him to the one after skip, you'll notice that he's less serious about things, way less calm, and of course ultra triple horny, it's not even love-cook anymore, it's plain awkwardness and childish crap that he didn't use to have before the timeskip. Hell, he could at least have a serious discussion with a female character in TS unlike now where he needs 2 panels of stupid pervert shit.


I say this as an sanji fan but I'm truly disappointed if oda truly thinks that this type of shit should be funny, and so yes, I partly agree that sanji has changed to worse, but not that it matter anyway.

Same thing to you, this is only the case because he was stuck without seeing a women for 2 years straight, he is extra horny rn. He is slowly getting there it will take time for him to recover from that experience.


Even the best of us wouldn't be able to handle not seeing the opposite *** for that long, let alone someone who was already such a big pervert like Sanji. We might not like it, but its what makes sense, having him randomly get over this would be terrible writing.
