i heared (back in the time when we saw obito flashbacks) ppl asking why obito summong the kyubi in the village? why did he did it? i think its because he wanted the uchiha clan to be destroyed for some reason he knew the elders will suspect that some one from the uchiha clan will controll the kyubi... also i think he wanted to get 2 things by summoning the kyubi:
A: he wanted konoha to suspect the uchiha clan which lead the elders to a decision... to destroy the uchiha clan.
with that move obito could get a few things: 1)as we know obito asked from itachi to give him every single eye of the uchiha members he killed. obito knew that with that many eyes he will be very powerfull enough to controll the jubi. (maby he already used them? or maby he want to do something else...) 2)maby he knew the elders will ask itachi to do this job... so iobito took advantege of it and asked him to join the akatsuki (itachi was very usufull). 3)i dont think that is true but maby obito knew itachi couldnt kill sasuke his little brother and he knew sasuke will want revenge and someday he will come to itachi (as we all know obito manipulated sasuke for a long time).
B: he wanted to revenge his sensei minato (by killing him and his family and destroy the village).
p.s dont tell me he did it to capture the nine tails and use the mazo to take his chackra... its cannot be done for few reason:
1) it has been stated in the manga (dont remember when) that the akatsuki need to capture the jinjuricki by order (1 tail than 2 tails...till 9 tails). if that wont happen the gedo mazo will get crazy! also dont forget that in part one itachi didnt came to konoha to take naruto... he really came to show danzo that he is alive and he shouldnt try to hurt sasuke.
also i think he followed naruto to the other village just because he knew sasuke will follow after him (in other word he wanter to see sasuke... he knew he couldnt get naruto when jiraya is there indid
