[Discussion] Why Obito can survive without a heart and other necessities.

He doesn't need a heart because Zetsu is a plant, and Obito's body is made of Zetsu. The zoom-in on his eye was to show him activating kamui so that he could have the hole from raikiri be only in his chest instead of a huge tear along his body

I'm pretty sure it showed Obito's eye as him using his eye to...I don't know, confuse Kakashi and allow Obito to impale himself. Kakashi probably would have pulled back if he saw Obito trying to lunge himself into his Raikiri, and Obito wanted to show Kakashi he is immortal/badass/stupid as ****. So he used a quick genjutsu to do that. Kakashi has Sharingan also, he would have already seen through the genjutsu if he didn't really stab him. The only genjutsu Kakashi can't see through is Tsukiyomi, and Obito doesn't have that. Plus they have the same eye, I'm sure genjutsu wouldn't last very long at all if they tried it on each other. Which makes my point of him just using it for a split second to impale his crazy self more plausible.

This makes a lot of sense. I truly believe it's exactly as you say, Obito was actually impaled, but used genjutsu to get his point across about Rin. He used it only to compare the stabbing to how Kakashi stabbed Rin.

I may be overanalyzing but considering everything we know about Hashi's cells, it's very plausible.

its a genjutsu. obito is trying to show kakashi through a genjutsu that he cant be saved because his heart has no feelings to anyone... something like that.
