Sasuke is clearly stronger than Naruto tho, they've never been equal. Sasuke is even stronger than Naruto+Kurama, who gives Naruto means to stay even close to Sasuke .

Sasuke was touted as a prodigy also though.

Definitely not to the same extent as Itachi & he did train quite a bit but he was still said to be a natural prodigy.
