In this chapter, Konan VS Tobi, we find out the exact timing downside to Tobi's dimensional transfer jutsu. Minato already revealed earlier that it comes down to a test of speed, but Konan has been the only person so far to really push him to that disadvantage's limit.

Yeah and it's basically been stuffed down our throats since Day 1 that he is special/the chosen one/bringer of peace/etc .. but sometimes being the main character doesn't always guarantee a happy ending.

Look at Naruto Vs Sasuke battle at the end of the first series when almost everyone thought Naruto would've won that fight.

There is actually one reason I find that Naruto is a GREAT battler against Sharingan users. That is because he has speed.

We see here, in his fight with Lee that Sharingan users are able to see super-fast movements.

THE PROBLEM IS that Sharingan users tend to be fast enough to evade. Some of the fastest ninja in the series are from the Uchiha clan (Sasuke, Itachi, possibly Tobi, and I'm sure Madara). They have reflexes to evade your average-superior ninja. BUT Sharingan users are so used to using their eyes, they don't know what to do when their bodies can't react.

Even here, it was shown that Sasuke could not follow Raikage's movements.

However, Naruto hasn't a Genjutsu defense as of yet, but due to the Kyuubis' unexpected partnership during recent times, lending Naruto it's chakra, we can assume safely that against Madara and Tobi at the very least, the Kyuubi would snap Naruto out of Genjutsu.

I have said this many times and competely agree. Its why the Uchiha were a good clan they weren't some end all be all clan. Simple being faster than a person with Sharingan is good enough to have the advantage to kill them. So the smart user I.E Itachi, Sasuke, Kakashi, Tobi that are alive would probably train their butt off to be fast. That's why Raigage, Minato, Guy, now naruto and maybe Lee in the future are terrible matchups vs Sharingan users

Exactly. Predicting moves is nothing if you're not fast enough to react to it - something Lee told Sasuke at the Chuunin Exams. Seriously, if Tobi hadn't used Izanagi in that battle Konan would have murdered him with the 10-minute paper tag explosion techinque.
